am working on a kiosk setup and need to disable the right click option over flash. We have already disabled it over the html and images via javascript, but can't get it to work over flash.
Through using menu=false we can reduce the flash mouseover menu to a "more about macromedia flash" link, but a user can still click on that and open a new browser window from where they can access the file structure and wreck havock.
Any suggestions, we're at the point of beginning to pull the mice apart to truly disable the right button....

I have form with one submit button. All i want to create is to allow user to make JUST ONE button click. After that click, button will be still displayed but it will be disabled. How to make this?
I have a <td> element that has a jQuery 'click' object attached to it. Inside that element is an anchor that's positioned absolutely. When you click on the anchor link, I want to avoid triggering the 'click' object that's attached to the <td>

I'm trying to put some code together to create an image-swapping system, that when you click on the image it'll hide the image and replace it with a given iframe vimeo/youtube code...The swapping part works fine, however when the iframe loads up, it hides all other flash objects in the page, and I can't figure out why.Here's the JS

I have created no flash pages and flash pages, but instead of creating a portal at the front of the site that leads you to a flash site and a no flash site id like to do it so the page detects flash or not, and redirects to whichever URL.
Is this possible, or do multiple browsers cause problems ?

I cant really figure this out, the only thing i could see messing it up is the javascript:void(0) inside the anchor link but since there is a double click function and a click, it should only be one click.I put autoOpen which i think is also causing it, but i did that so theuser can open it, close it, and open it again so the delay "double click" is saying for the first time initialize and then the second click is opening?? if so how do i get around this?

I have a webpage with a form. Depending on user selections at the top of the page, the page will disable sections of the form. My plan is to put each section between a <div></div>. Each section contains some collection of form elements.
So if the user does not select some criteria, the related section of the form gets disabled. In a typical Windows type of application these elements get disabled and greyed out. What's the best way to do this in a webpage? Can Javascript determine what form elements are in a div section and disable these elements through a loop for example? I know I can disable each element if I know its it but is there a way to find out all the IDs of elements for some div section?
I am using the following code for disabling Ctrl-N in IE7. It disables the Ctrl-N feature of IE which opens a new window containing the same page as the 'active' window. The code works great (at first glance). However, I noticed that, if you click anywhere inside the browser window and THEN press Ctrl-N, the new window will open. If you don't click anywhere inside the window, the following code works. Can anyone see an improvement to the following code so that clicking inside the browser window doesn't bypass the javascript?
A form is up in the browser, user does what they need to do and hits "Submit". Being the patient soals that they are, they don't wait for the browser to refresh, but start entering more data / following links!
What I want to do is to disable all form elements and links when the user cliks "Submit". Anyone have some J-S to do this?
I saw quite a few scripts that allow the user to disable the right-click on certain components (usually images). This is what the code looked like (for IE);

I would like to disable right-clicks without the annoying alert. I just don't want the menu to open when the user right-clicks the link. Is that possible? When I remove the call to alert, then the code has no effect.
There is a checkbox on a form page, when you check it, a div will become visible with some extra inputs needed for that situation. To simulate this click on the checkbox external, I use click(). With jquery files 1.4 and lower this works properly and like expected. When using jquery library 1.4.1 or higher, something does not seem to work properly. Sooooo, the code:
Somehow I managed to get this thing 'sort of' working with 1.4.1 or higher. But the code to accomplish this is absurd. See functioncheckTheBox4Plus() on line 8. It works :) but shouldn't.. Or is it the other way around?
I am opening one new window from the current window.... Can any one help me to disable the parent window after opening the new window.... and at the same time i want to enable the parent window after closing the new window.
I have a function which passes text from txtdebt to debtsbox which works fine. However, I want to add code which examines the value of debtsbox and if any of the values the user entered contain the string "d" then I want to emable rblDebts which is disabled when the page loads. This part is not working (no errors) and I'm not sure why.....
