I need to delay a hover effect on a anchor tag, I need something that delays the hover effect when javascript is on and when it's off your still able to get the hover effect when you roll over the anchor tag.
I'm having trouble with the fadeTo() function. I'm doing it on rollover on a series of thumbnails that loads based on featured images of pages in a Wordpress site. I've got things working, but there seems to be some delay in the availability of the effect. The effect doesn't happen until a few seconds after the page is loaded, even in local testing. And even then, it seems to only seems to happen kind of one at a time, down the line of thumbnails. Here's the code I'm working with:
I have a hover event that highlights some text somewhere else on the page. When I leave the hover target, I don't want the highlighting to change. So I don't want a mouseout event. The problem is, when I hover over the one I want and then try to get to the highlighted items, I inevitably drag across another hover event which fires when I don't want it to. I tried the hoverIntent plugin but I get an error in Firebug saying hoverIntent is not a function even though it is loaded in the Head section. I looked but what I found seemed to just delay the execution of the event which I assume is fine if you want to cancel the hover actions on mouseout.
Ok i just created my portfolio site using a simple accordion effect i got from. [URL] Im very new to javascript and coding in general, so im sure my code is far from pretty. My question, is their a way to fix the delay on the way the accordion loads. if you go to my site [URL] you'll see that initially all the sections are visible and then they collapse after a few moments. is there anyway to make it so they are collapsed immediately.
i have div which is display:hide, now when i click on anchor link it set display:block, now i need help with jquery to use effect when showing that div, but i need to do that without .click on that anchor.
I have a 300x150 container div with a small inner div that has a image link button inside..When the user hovers over the button, it currently does .hide on the visible container div and .show on another div.However, I don't want the event to fired instantly, I would like for the animations to take affect 3000 milliseconds after their mouse has entered the button div to prevent the event from firing without the users intention.
I am showing an image possibly 957x30 pixels size on a page. Whenever there is a mouseover or hover on this image, it is swapped with another image (say 957x130 pixels) by expanding its division in slidedown fashion and stays visible for few seconds before swapping back with first image.
What I'm looking for, and can't seem to find is, a JS snippet, that will delay the hover effect (a simple drop down) of my mega drop down menu by 250 millseconds or so. And of course, then hold the drop down in place for the same amount of time on mouseout.
The first thing I'm trying to do, is pretty much exactly like the effect that is seen here [URL].. I like how it still fades even when your mouse isnt right on the link.. you could have the cursor on the link for 0.1 seconds and the fade animation still continues.. I tried looking through the sites javascript files to see how they do it, but I couldnt figure it out.
When I use two divs one above the other using z-index then hover (using the mouse pointer) on the two divs quickly their z-index is lost and they appear one above the other ?! I face this problems in different ways when making JQuery on divs which are one above the other then move the mouse pointer above them quickly.
How to activate a anchor i.e. <a href="#myAnchor" class="anchorLink" title="portfolio" id="mail"><img src="images/for_web/mail.jpg" width="75" height="40" alt="contact us" title="contact us" /></a> When it is being hovered over instead of clicked on???
Now, I have a script that has auto complete thing with the help of Javascript and DOM and AJAX, and I follow this tutorial [URL]
Well everything working great, but, I want 1 thing. When the Suggestion box is visible, and has all the options, and If I mouse over them, it will show the hover effect. I want to achieve the same with keyboard. Like if I press down for the first time, the first option will be selected, and then if i press down again, it will select (hover) the next and so on, and similar is the case with up arrow key. Now, when i press enter, the selected option should go to the text box as if I click on a item.
I have an anchored list of items that when hovered over will add a background and change the color, giving it a highlight effect by toggling a class. Something like this:
$("#theme li a").hover(function(){ $(this).addClass('hoverHighlight'); }, function(){ $(this).removeClass('hoverHighlight'); });
When I press one of the anchor items, it runs a function that changes a bunch of css values across the page, including the values of the 'hoverHighlight' class. The thing is after the function runs, all the css changes gets applied (I can see this), but the hover still uses the default values I set in the css file, and not the new ones I set in the function. How do I make it so the hover function refreshes to the new values?
I have the following script which adds a touch of style to the labels that contain checked checkboxes:
function decorateCheckedBoxes() { var form = document.getElementById("filtreEtudiant"); var inputs = form.getElementsByTagName("input");
[Code].....
If I take the script away, the css works fine. but as soon as I add the script, I need the orange part to acheive the rollover effect. Is this normal? Is there a way to change the style of an element without affecting it's onhover style?
I would like to create something similar but not sure where to start, looking at the code, it would seem they are using jQuery, rather than grab the code, I would like to learn a little bit about how it was implemented, what plugins were used, if any.
Im trying to get 2 elements to execute some effect individually at the same time on a hover.Ive looked at .animate but if I understand it correctly I can do multiple effects but still limited to that single element.[code]So basically Im just trying to get 1st & 2nd on hovers to happen at the same time and 1st and 2nd off hovers to happen at the same time.
I am trying to create a border effect on hover so when the use hovers over a link the css border changes color to create some interactivity and also as a point of reference too.
Here is the code so far I just do not know how to implement the fade effect for the border to fade on hover;
Is there any way that I can simply change this code to work with it.
In my home page menu, the blocks change color on the hover effect just fine and shows the first child menu, but when you hover over the child menu, the hover colors turn off of the main menu. I want to know how to maintain the hover effect through browsing the entire menu.
Where can I find the script to get the hover effect that this website has on their thumbnails? I have looked through the source code and I can't find it.
Hover effect is painfully slow IE (only IE) and table mouseover causes very high processor usage When you move the mouse over table elements flash animation stutters/pauses (making flash banners impossible)
You can se the page here: fondovi (http://investa.hr/fondovi) (there's a flash animation on the right side of the page (light grey/blue color))
I've tried to make a simple hover effect about small images but it won't work. I also tried to make the following script: 2 seconds after page loading image1 changes 2 seconds after that image1 returns to back state and image2 changes and etc.
