how to create a DIV dynamically. Basicly, I have two labels, and depending on which one is clicked, I want some code to appear inside an existing DIV. Obviously, I will need to do this using javascript and the onClick event. To make things even more complicated, I also want some DIV's inside of the dynamically created DIV. So, the structure would be:
-Existing DIV
--DIV created by label being clicked
---Another DIV
---Another DIV
I hope this doesn't confuse anyone. I have some code for the existing DIV.
<DIV ID="container"><DIV ID="title">Order</DIV><DIV ID="body">Login <LABEL onclick="login()">here</LABEL>. Signup <LABEL onclick="sign_now()">here</LABEL></DIV>
</DIV>
I want to create an iframe inside div.I am having tables inside the div.I want to create iframes before the table.

What I want to do is create a <svg> element and apply some shapes and colors to it via javascript (or ecmascript if I need to). I have googled this and found that you need to have a valid XHTML+XML document in order for this to work.

I did however find that this little blip of code is what's used to position where the cart is placed on the HTML page that contains the script. Here's my problem - I want to be able to create this element inside a div that already exists on the HTML page. Is this possible?
Code:
var container_pp = createElement('div', cart, {
id: 'PPMiniCart',
style: {position: 'absolute', top:'690px', left:'100px', zIndex: '999', textAlign: 'left' }
}, document.body);

View 1 Replies View RelatedShould I disable the right click option or not? I have a gallery site, I don't want people to be able to copy the images with the default right click over an image. From a professional looking site point of view I suppose I would be messing with the functionality a bit too much, OR is it OK in this instance to disable the click. I know how to write the code to disable the click, but what I was thinking was maybe it would be better to leave the right click but change the menu options? I'm not sure how to change the menu options ere is a link to the site. [URL]

Im trying to have a click event that replaces an image on the page with a new image that has been selected randomly from an array. I have solved PART of this already (can get the random image to appear).
However, instead of appearing on the page where the old image was, the new image appears in a blank page.
My research indicates that this blank page location-problem is a result of using document.write in the Function. Therefore, I know I need to find a different way to accomplish this, but am failing miserably.
I have been trying for hours and hours and HOURS to figure out proper syntax for accomplishing this via elements, functions, variables and mootools.

i got a website with frames.
The main frame contains two frames 'top' and 'bottom'.
Now I have an iframe inside the bottom frame. And it is linked to an external website. However, I wish to disable clicking on any of its links (both right and left) inside the iframe.
I'm trying to create a list of recipes which will on document ready all be hidden except the first one. And then when I click one of the dynamically added links (in a ul) in the sidebar I want the corresponding recipe to go from hidden to shown. I've managed to do everything really simply except I have no idea how to find the corresponding recipe when I click a link in the sidebar (the links link to the recipes with #recipe<number>)
$(".post").hide();
$(".post:first").show();
$("a[href*='#recipe']").click(function() {
$(".post").hide(600);
});
Somehow I need to access the id of the specific recipe, which I suppose should be possible since the clickfunction should store that somehow?
EDIT: I just realized that I could just use the href value as my id for the recipe (since its the same e.g. #recipe). However I'm having trouble using the variable that stores the href/id in the .show function.
$("a[href*='#recipe']").click(function() {
$(".post").hide(600);
var theHref = $(this).attr("href");[code]....
New to jQuery, I did many searches before posting. This is happening in both IE6 and Firefox 3.0.13. I've gotten the following script to work under strange circumstances (explained below

I have a list of most 17 recent entries from a db table and wanna use jquery/ajax to have a next button that loads the next 17 entries when you click it. It passes the 17 variable to the .load which works fine first time around (this is later used as mysql limit), but then I try to increase the start variable with 17 so that next time I click it would pass 34 to the .load (so it loads next 17 again) but this doesn't work, it simply loads same 17 again on 2nd, 3rd ect. click (so nothing changes). use global variables by setting it with var and using it without var inside the function.
<script>
var start = 17;
var loadUrl = '<?php echo site_url('welcome/battles'); ?>';
$("#latestbattlesnext").click(function () {

View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing a UI dialog I'd like to load in 10 or so images. Each would be unique and after you click on one the following needs to happen:
1. Image appears on the parent page in a specified ID.
2. A "hidden" field is updated so that when the user submits the db is updated with their selection.
3. Dialog closes automatically.
That's it. Basically it would work similar to "datepicker".I'm using the latest 1.4 and ui and been making great progress as learning basics. I need to do the above and it seems like such a no brainier and or it should already exist but after 2 days of searching and trial and error...
I have written code that achieves three things: Once the user clicks (1) A text box is created (2) It is positioned based on the position of the cursor (3) The focus is set to the text box. It works great, but the problem is if you click somewhere else, in addition to creating a new text box it also moves the previous text box.
$(document).click(function(e){
$("body").append("<input />");
$("input").css({ left: + e.pageX, top: + e.pageY });
$('input').focus();
});
