I'm using superfish menu jquery plugin, and I'm wondering if someone know how to update plugin that you can decide if sub - sub menus wil be shown on the right (that is in the original) or on the left side of the parent menu.
The problem is, that if the last menu is near the end of the browser, than the sub - sub menu will go off side the browser.
I´m using the superfish jquery Module at the website of a costumers. [url] Now the costumer wants that the submenus always where displayed and stay extended! If i chose "other parameters" in the superfish menu options i can enable Expand Menu. But my menu is still not expanded! Nothing happens! Is there a easy possibility to do this? I am using Joomla 1.5 with the latest Updates!
I'm trying to get Superfish menus working on a new site I'm building, but have run into a problem. I have used the feature of setting a class on the current menu item so that it will be highlighted (highlit?). The trouble is that if the menu item has a submenu this submenu is displaying already opened when you hit the page.
I've set the menus up with the following options: $('ul#nav').superfish({ hoverClass: 'sfHover', pathClass: 'current', pathLevels: 1, delay: 800, animation: {opacity:'show'}, speed: 'normal', autoArrows: true, dropShadows: true, disableHI: false });
This is a snippet of the menu code just for completeness, although it's pretty generic: <ul id="nav"> <li><a href="index.html">Home</a></li> <li class="current"><a href="agenda.html">Agenda</a> <ul> <li><a href="stream_busdev.html">Business Development Stream</a></li> <li><a href="stream_techsupp.html">Technical and Support Stream</a></li> <li><a href="stream_partners.html">Partners Stream</a></li> <li><a href="stream_paytrain.html">Payroll and Training Stream</a></li> </ul></li> ... more menu items in here ... </ul>
I've also attached a screengrab, in case it helps, since the site isn't live yet. So I guess what I'm asking is: is there a way to have the current parent menu item marked as current without it automatically opening the submenu?
Love this menu. This menu will be appearing in module on right hand side of page. So I need the submenu to display on left, not right. So how to make this a right to left menu? I've played around a bit and have had no luck yet. I've used the navbar on another site and I'd really like to use this vertical menu too.
Here is the style and js for my menu that I got from Dynamic Drive. I have it working as it is suppose to on my site. But I need my menus to have submenus and even have a couple of sub-submenus.
YOffset=150; // no quotes!! XOffset=0; staticYOffset=30; // no quotes!!
I currently have a normal link like Code:<a href="http://sitepoint.com" class="link">sitepoint</a> and when a user clicks on it I want to be able to change the "link" class to a different class. However, I don't want to add anything to the actual link html. Is it possible to do this using javascript without modifying the original link code?
I am trying to create a specific menu using jQuery where i want to toggle a clicked menu item. I used toggleClass to accomplish this. All fine and well, but what i want is that once i click a menu item, the previously clicked item should have the active state/class toggled off.. The menu is variable. (I tried and tried and searched all over the internet, but i cannot find it... spent 5 hours trying to combine various selectors and if/else statements, but it did'nt work.)
I have installed Superfish menu module with Joomla ..Customization work more less fine ...I still have tenious problem like :
- How to have the main menu with the active color, when one of the sub-menu has been actived ?
- How to change the inactive color of the sub-menu without changing the inactive colro of the principal menu ...I did not found any information on the web ..
Second Question: For some reason, the menu is appearing behind a table row when it expands, thus hiding a good portion of the menu. Here it is: [URL]
Try clicking on 'Products & Services', and then clicking on "Centerfire Rifle Suppressors" from the dropdown menu. When it takes you to that category page, click the menu again and you will see that the menu hides behind the <h1> table row.
I have a basic dropdown css menu system. When a menu item is selected (ex: foo.html), the cluetip link opens a 450px wide window as expectedThen,I selectanother menu item (ex: bar.html). But when I return to link foo.html: and click the same clueTip link the clueTip link now opens in it's own window instead of the 450px clueTip window as beore would expect the small clueTip window to open and show the clueTip on each successive click as it does the first time. If I do a browser reload, the first menu selection works as it should, but only on the first click.If the menu is not used, the single file opens the clueTip correctly. Does clueTip get confused in a menu program?
// the cluetip code: $(document).ready(function() { $('#clickme').cluetip({
i have images of business cards and i want to create a table to populate for each card. i created an array for the business cards to switch out of a table when i click on a radio button. can i just create a function table() then write ocument.getElementById("cardTable').style.?("<table border = '1' />") and so on to make a table.
Does anyone know if this is possible with iFrame's or is there a better solution?
I'd like to use an iFrame in a page with a menu bar (vertical or horizontal). The iFrame would have a defined width or height. On rolling over the menu items, a submenu would appear above the iFrame so that the submenus can be positioned overlapping the iFrame menu items.
I don't think it's possible, because the iFrame behaves like a frame in a frameset. So if this is not possible, how else could this be done?
I have an internal web app that displays some images except they are really big and the app goes super slow and I only have 12 pictures for my test. Sometimes there will be a hundred or more. So is there a way through javascript that I can create thumbnails other than just changing the width and height of the large file?
What I'm trying to achieve is that when I select the "other..." value, that field? change onchange? to a text field in order to let the user to input his custom color manually.This is the classic list/menu:
The following script produces a box that opens on mouseover and closes on mouseover.
Code:
$('#triggerReg').hover(function(){ // do something on mouse over $('#menuReg').show();
[code]...
It works fine for displaying brief text messages. But if you display a column of links, it closes as soon as you try to put the cursor over a link. how to modify this so that the menu stays open until you manually close it again? I changed hover(function() to click(function(), and it now opens when you click it - and it stays open. But I can't figure out how to close it.
I'm using Superfish nav-bar menu which works just fine (it hides all submenus with their childs) But I also want to one sublink display all childs without need to hover over their parent.
Here is the code:
In this example i want to Link 1 and Link 2, have normal drop down menus which are in normal state hidden. I need to Link 3, always display Sublink 3 including its childs (Sub sublink 3).
I'm just starting to learn languages like jQuery, PHP and AJAX. I will post exactly what a potential client asked me. I'm not willing to say no, because everything else he asked I can do myself, but if it's far beyond my capabilities, I may have to just hire someone to code this part.
Quote: For our home page main menu bar, we would like to have a script (that we design) that if it recognizes a cookie, it shows a slightly different menu bar than if it doesn't see our cookie. For instance, if a user is "remembered" we want the menu to have a support button visible, if the user isn't remembered by our script, its button would then be "Free Trial" I understand exactly what he wants, just not sure how best to go about it. I believe I've seen this before, and I thought maybe AJAX was the best way to do it, but please, correct me if there is a much easier way.
I figure it's a matter of just showing and hiding an object in a kind of IF / ELSE situation.
On a page for product descriptions, I have a MySQL query that returns a list of purchase options and the price of each option.There is a drop-down field which lists the names of each option. To the right, the price of the selected option is displayed.Upon selecting a different option, how can I have the displayed price change to that of the newly selected option?
