I'm using Gravity forms for a fancybox popup here- hit the 'JOIN' button and you'll see the popup. What I need to do is close the popup when the submit button is hit and then redirect the parent page to a specific url. I cannot wrap the submit button itself in a link because I'm using Gravity Forms. Is there another way to do this?

as the title says, "close popup window after submit then redirect to parent". how do i do that? i google it and i saw that some people are using the following code:
window.close();
window.opener.location.reload();
The problem is, i dont know how to use and where them.
how to redirect the parent window (below the popup) to a new address when a user clicks a link in a pop? And the pop up should close. This javascript refreshes the parent window and closes the pop up but it does not send the user to a new page in the parent window. onClick="window.opener.location.reload(true); window.close();" I don't know much about javascript.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhat I'm trying to do is make it so when a visitor or a search engine tries to view a page outside of the parent frame it reloads that particular page inside the parent frame. All the scripts I've tried WILL redirect the visitor back to the parent frame, but NONE of them will then load the previously viewed page into the 'main' frame. I don't want visitors to have to navigate through the site to find the particular page they were viewing.
I have seen this script before but I can't remember which site was using it, also without a redirection to the frames the site won't display properly and navigation would be difficult. Code:

I'm using the most basic functionality of the Fancybox plugin. All renders fine in FF 3.5.9 & Chrome 4. Wouldn't you know it, IE 7 has a problem, it does not display the close box and doesn't honor the location of the title. You can see the problem here: [URL]

I am trying to make form in dreamweaver with several text boxes. If the person doesn't fill out one or more of the boxes, I want an error message to come up which lists which boxes weren't filled out. If they ARE filled correctly, I want the page to redirect to a thanks page.This isn't online, and I'm new to coding. Supposed to submit myForm, which sends necessary data to the FileMaker backend, and then I am wanting to redirect to a new page immediately after that.
The "window.location = "www.google.com";" line does not seem to function in its present location.
I've been working on a freelance design site, and I have been using jshowoff and fancybox on my portfolio page. The portfolio has multiple sections that are set to be scrolled through using jshowoff by using the slide links. This use of jshowoff is working perfectly fine, but fancybox isn't. fancybox is supposed to be set to launch a modal when any of the portfolio thumbnail images are clicked. As it is right now, fancybox links will not work within the jshowoff slide div, but they do work outside of the jshowoff slide div.
I have done about 5 hours of searching online for possible fixed to my issue, and I haven't found anything. I am attempting to fix the conflict the between jshowoff and fancybox. I am very new to using jQuery plugins, so hopefully, you can all bear with me.If anyone may know how I can fix my fancybox links, so that fancybox will work within my jshowoff slide, I'd greatly appreciate it. I am trying to do two things. I have PDF files but the user has to click on the icon and a contact form will come up in a pop-up window. That window has a form and once the form is completed and properly validated, I want the pop-up window to automatically close and go to "white_papers.com?download=1". It will do everything but it only goes to white_papers.com. How can I get it to go to the entire URL including "?download=1"?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a page that loads a fancybox popup and it works perfectly with the cookie for setting ho many days to show. the problem i have is that i need it to show 1 every 24 hours over a 3 day period. once the 3rd day is over and the user sees the window for the 3rd day i need a cookie set to never show the window again. here is my code as it sits now. I have worked with this for a couple of days on and off and it is above my head for sure.

After executing the iFrame-name.location=url (which worked fine by way,) there is a very undesirable event; the parent window also gets redirected to the same url.:mad: I am calling this function from a click event on an Image object. I have tried everything from return(false); to window.event.cancelBubble = true; nothing stops the parent window from navigating. The interesting thing is, if I hit the Back button it goes back and still redirect the parent window automatically, over and over.
The odd thing is I have identical code in another project and I never had problems.

I have the following problem: In wordpress I wanted to popup the login-page (wp-login.php) and i used the fancybox to generate an iframe. after clicking the "login" button i want that the fancybox is closing (thats not the problem) and i want to reload the whole page so that it recognizes that i'm logged in.
Now that is the problem .. I cant reload the index page when clicking the login button, because (i think so) the login document is in a iframe and is not able to reload the whole screen). I don't know the "reload" command, too, maybe load("index.php"); ? :D

I have a series of pages which make up a questionnaire. It's all done
in PHP and I'd like to have two submit buttons (well, images really) so
that one submits the form and takes them to the next page, the other
submits the form and takes them to the previous page.
The redirect value is set using PHP so I'd like some Javascript to set
that variable, then submit the form so that I can accomplish this
requirement.
Is this possible? I know Javascript can submit a form, and also can
send a variable to a PHP script, but I'm not sure how to do this
combination.
