Changing Div Onclick - Tabbed Panel Where 1st Div Is Originally Shown With Display

I'm having a tabbed panel where the 1st div is originally shown with display: block and the other 3 are display:none to hide, obviously. I want each div to have their own link where if you click the link for div 2 it hides the previous and shows that one etc.
Here's what I originally have:
That successfully hides tab 1 and shows tab 2 but I don't know how to do it properly so it hides the previously shown one. One tab should always be shown.

I need to build a Tabbed panel similar to yahoo mail (latest version). Means whenever I click on the link the page should be open in new tab, with closing button. Is there any jQuery plugin which provides same functionality.

This is what I am seeking: On the main page we have 3 different images (img1, img2, img3), that must link to another page (photo page) with a photo in the middle enlarged: for example if I click img1 i will go to the photo page with img1 enlarged in the middle, and if I click img2 will go to the photo page with img2 in the middle. the photo page has photo thumbnail sliding at the bottom of the page that links to the same middle enlarged photo based on the clicked photo. is it doable with JS? or should I look somewhere else?

It will popup and display as a drop down list with "gray'ed" vertical
scrollbar. So how can I make it like a panel without the vertical
scrollbar at the right side?

I dont have experience in jquery , and as far i know by default all panels inherit the height of the 1st panel ,depending of the quantity of the content inside it.In the content of each panel will be dynamic content, of different size thats why im intrested in this.

I am using the Coda-slider.js and am wanting to get a specific panel to load instead of the default first one.So if I have 5 panels (0-4) 0 loads automatically, I'd like to have 2 (middle panel) to load first so that I'd have 2 panels to the left and 2 to the right.[code]

I wonder if it's possible to implement a menu like the one ofcbs.com?Basically, when mouse over some of the menu items, a menu panel shows up with a few columns of links. The many panel disappears when the mouse moves out. I think it's quite neat and I'm hoping to be able to do something like that with jQuery.

what it does is that it hide and show a panel by slidint it to the left.But my client want that on page load the panel opens automatically for about 2-3 seconds just to let users know that its here. But when the panel finished showing the button to open it again doesn't work.

I have a div called pageWrap to wrap my page with the css as margin-top:-46px;
I would like to use Javascript onClick on another div. This Div is called loginButton, the onclick should change the the css of pageWrap to 0px and onclick again should change it back.

this goes on, however, it does not change the background when clicking on "Welcome" or "About us" Links. Where I want "About us" to load image#0 in the index and "Welcome" to load image #1.

OK, I have a table, where I have ID'd the headers as such:

Now, when I click on the header row, I would like to hide a column, and when I click on an image, I'd like to restore it. Ideally, I would have a function like such:

I've set up a few images to change onlick using the following code (I have the alternate images saved as jpgs in the img/ directory). There are two problems I'm having the first baffles me, after clicking one image and changing it the other images take 2 clicks before changing. The other problem is more of a curiosity, I plan to have these images work as a sort of check box for a sql database query and I'm not entirely sure my current way of doing it will allow for that.

I am trying to create a button that when pressed changes not only the value of the button but the onclick event. I basically need the function to toggle between these two functions but I can't get it to work. The button changes value but will not update with the new onclick value.

I am building a site where I want all links to partial page reload using xmlhttprequest and innerhtml. I have done this before, butI always had to have a seperate xmlhttprequest function for each link. So this time I am trying to write just one function, and have the onClick change which document the request is getting. It is not working and I appear to novice to figure out why. Here is the code, i have bolded some relevant lines:

Also, if I use the innerhtml function to write another of these hrefs, will that link be able to access the function if it is in the header, or should I put the entire function in a .js file on the server? The point of all this would be that the entire page never reloads and all the text content is swapped out on demand.

I have an image set to the background, this method is working for fire fox, here is how i got a background image.

When someone clicks on these thumbnails it changes the backround image's source to the bigger version. It doesn't work in IE though and i am confused why. I have tried preloading the image, but I feel as though my Javascript is being ignored.

I would like to change the value of a single hidden input onclick. The possible values are text, email and URL.I've tried all kinds of "ways" (inline and in function in a variety of ways,) but nothing. when the image is clicked with the mouse, function func1 is invoked as expected. When I call function changeFunction, I want to change the code that is invoked when the image is clicked from func1 to func2. Instead, both are invoked because addEventListener and attachEvent add an additional handler instead of setting one.
I am looking for a way to change the handler from one function to another. Can anyone think of a solution probably using removeEventListener?

I have implemented a site where I made a tooltip, show when mouseover an item. here is the site [url]
The problem is data got from a remote server using ajax. I perform jQuery .hover() on the content got through Ajax. not use .live(). So Now the situation is in IE tooltip shown but in FF and Safari tooltip is not shown.
