Adjust Height Of Scrollable Table Container With Respect To Last Row In Table?
May 6, 2010
I am trying to get a scrollable table working. The table is placed inside a div and the ros are placed within the tbody. Can anyone suggest me a way to adjust the height of the scrollable table container with respect to the last row in the table? I am new to this scrollable table.
I'd like to use the superfish() plugin to improve my dropdown menu. I would like that the dropdown stays inside the menu parent container's width, even if their parent is close to the border. i think the onShow callback is the right one, but i'm at lost on how to proceed next. I have started with this but i don't know how to proceed.
I'm trying to create a table that has a fixed header but the table contents can be scrolled and also sorted by column headings.I'm already using sortable.js (http://www.surfmind.com/musings/2003/12/01/) library to sort the columns.I can find examples where I can scroll the table with fixed headers, but most of these use a dual table approach, with sortable.js, I think only one table is required. I've found examples how to scroll within a table element using autoflow and scrolling using CSS that I can't follow (I'm new to all of this).How can I get the contents to flow with a single table? Forgive me if it's too easy. If you can help me with a solution, you can ridicule me 'til the cows come home...I'm ok with that. Here is the basic table I have layed out.
anyone give me some samples about using mouse to adjust column width of table;and it must can be wrapped conveniently as a java component for our client using; the samples is more easy is better;
how to adjust the iframe height by itself if my html height increases. My html code includes a facebook comment at the bottom of my page and the comment will show making it expand the height once users post comments. On the other hand, I'm using a CMS that have its own iframe. I've tried many solutions that can be found on the web but none works. It only can work if I don't put in CMS. Is it possible to adjust the iframe height using CMS or there is no way?
I have issue with the sliding container from right to left on click. i have a image (width 250px) on the left of the page. When i click on the link, the container overlap the image and stop on the 0 position of browser window but i want to stop this container 250 pixels from the left. Please let me from where i can adjust theeftpositionsfromjquery.min.js,jquery.localscroll-min.js,jquery.scrollTo-min.js, or is there any other property to set the container from left
This is a common requirement - "freeze panes" in a table, so that some header rows and some columns on the left are frozen while the body content scrolls. This makes large tables more usable on screen.
How can I get the height of a table row in javascript? I know that en element usually gives its height via "clientHeight", etc but what would I do for a tr?
once again I have a Javascriptin' problem In my table I have a row which is hidden like so.
<tr class=\"err\" id=\"err_nameC\"><td class=\"fsa\"><b>Error: </b></td><td id=\"err_name\"><b>Unknown Error</b></td></tr> (The slashes are because It's rendered from a PHP script) Linked CSS classes:

Now, when they type into the text box the table row disappers like it should do, but it leaves a space where it was, almost like it's just turned blank but is still there. Is there anyway to make it disappear like it was at the start? I tried changing it's height but that doesn't work, when I tested the same height changing function on a visible table it worked so it can't seem to change the height of the "ghost row" as it doesn't exist.
i have want to make a formula for my table height.i have some result, every result is 300 pixel height i want to calculate table height= number of result * 300
I had a problem with my css originally with all browsers, I needed a table to fill the whole page so that my nested tables would center in the middle of the page.
Previously it was defaulting to the top of the page, although in my editor it was showing centered. After a little bit of fiddling, I added height: 100%; to my body tag and it worked great.
Now I have come to test it in netscape, and it has the same issue, defaulting to the top of the page instead of being in the middle of the page.
I have an aspx page in which I have a table. The table has two rows. The first row contains a pie chart and the second row contains the custom grid. I am able to display both the controls.
The question goes here =>
At page load, I dont want to display the grid. When we click on the section of the pie chart, the grid should get display as per the pie chart section. I am unable to increase height to show the grid. I have tried to increase the panel height but its not working....
I want to create a table in javascript with a predefined height and width and put html code in its td.I wanna know when i should stop writing html code when my table have reached the predefined height.Is there any way to do that?I started by doing this :
var srcTable = document.createElement("table"); srcTable.border = 1; srcTable.borderColor = "Black";
I have 3 table columns. Columns 1 and 3 have different colored backgrounds. Column 2 is white background and contains the content.I want the heights of columns 1 & 3 to increase according to the height or the amount of content in column 2.
My friend and i are searching for a solution to have a scrollable area together with a scrollbar were BOTH heights can be set. This will prevent the scrollable content to come close to the edges of the table. We want the content to dissapear sooner.
We've tried everything possible in HTML and CSS but without any luck. I think this can be fixed with JS or with Flash. Flash is not an option and we neither have a lot of skills in JS. Code:
I've been searching for a tutorial or example of an accordion or collapsible divwhere the height of the div/section is fixed and the content of the div is scrollable. Can someone please point me to a tutorial or code snippets that illustrate this
I want to integrate a forum (phpbb) inside my custom made website. The problem is that there is no way to dynamically adjust the iframe height..I thought javascript would be the best way to do that, the problem is that i know nothing about JS... Here is my idea,
-2 scripts, 1 in the parent page (the one with the iframe tag) and the second one in the main forum page
-The script inside the parent page, would dynamically set the "height" parameter inside the iframe tag based on a value passed by the second script.
-The second script, inside the forum page, would read the entire content of the (document.body.scrollHeight) current page and sends its result to the first script.I have found a script that was supposed to do that, but for some reasons it doesnt work very well. Here is the link where i explain de problem with it: http:[url]....
OK, I am very new to jQuery so bare with me here. I am trying to get the document body height and set it as the height of a table, after the page has been loaded. Below is an example of what I am trying to do.
[Code]...
I am not sure where to place the jQuery code, before or after the table tag...and I am not even sure if any of my jQuery code is correct. Once again, i need to set the table height AFTER the document has been loaded and then dynamically change the height of the table.
I want to do this with js and not with any html/css tables, image fills or whatever other trick, but I don't know how...
Say I have multiple DIV containers below each other, which contain multiple DIV boxes floating next to each other. None of the DIV elements have a fixed height:
<div id="container1"> <div id="box1">some text</div> <div id="box2">some double more text</div> <div id="box3">some other text</div>
[Code]....
I want for each container (separately) to have the contained box divs to fit the biggest one in height.
For example, in container1, if box2 contains more text than the others, I want box1 and box3 height to fit box2. And in container2, if box4 has more text than the others, I want box5 and box6 height to fit box4, etc.
In my dreamworld, the solution would be flexible and fully automated, which means, it would look for all container divs of class x or Id x and apply the same rule to all child divs.
I have heard of jquery "equalheights" plugin but I don't think it can do that ? or then I misunderstood something. Could I be using some "get element by class" function and then apply a style.height to the divs?
I have a table that I wrote/borrowed a function to clone a row in a table. I want the new row to be cleared of data.
$("#addrow").live("click", function() { //clone last row to variable var row = $('#dataTable tbody>tr:last').clone(true); //clear text boxes
[Code]....
The code to clear the text boxes and selection boxes work great. The code to clear the text from the table cells that do not have a form element do not work at all. The .Client and .Project cells that I want to clear are populated by an ajax call and the .total cell is populated by a function that sums the values the text boxes.
