View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is hopefully my last jquery question. I have a slight issue with my buttons and dropdown menu. What happens is lets say user chooses option type "ABCDE" in first dropdown menu and then second dropdown menu chooses the value "4" for the number of answers and then clicks on the buttons "A","B","C" and "E", well if the user then decides to change the option type to "ABC", the buttons "A", "B" and "C" are still selected from the last time they have been selected.
What I want is that if the Option Type (OptionDropId) changes, then buttons selected is refreshed so no buttons are selected from the last time they have been selected.
This did used to work but when I included my change() event handler in my code which I need, the buttons do not refresh whenever a new dropdown option (OptionDropId) is selected. So I think the edit of the code may need to happen in the code below:

The problem is that I want to restrict the boxes size otherwise the size changes to the length of the longest entry. When I use the length attribute, it forces the drop-down to be a certain length, but it also cuts the sentences in half when I drop the options due to the option box being the same length as what I set the drop-down menu's length to be.
Is there any way to set the drop-down menu's size, but have a different size on the option menu that is displayed when the drop-down menu is clicked?

I have this tooltip that shows up when you enter a list item with your mouse. The tooltip is partly placed on top of the list item, so it makes sense that if you move your mouse off the list and onto the tooltip itself the tooltip dissapears. It actually starts to flicker because when the tooltip is gone, your mouse placed on the list item and the tooltip shows up again which ends up in a loop. I understand why it flickers, but I don't really know how to prevent that from happening.
The script I use simply says:

You can see what I mean if you hover over the small white block in the middel of the page. The purple border is the edge of the tooltip. When you cross that purple border the trouble starts. [URL]. How could I prevent this flickering from happening?
I am currently looking to create a JavaScript menu for a website I am working on. It currently expands and collapses on click. The code in question is pasted below:-

As you can see, it basically shows and hides the menu (when clicked). I want it to open the menu when clicked and close when another menu is opened. I have looked and have not been able to find a solution into it. Ideally I donot want it to be a long piece of code as I do have a working menu but with many more lines of JavaScript than the one I have posted.
The problem is that the height of the second level menu results in their being gaps in between each menu item so that as you move your mouse down the second menu items it quickly closes again. scripting novice fix this by telling me which variable I need to change either in the Java script or the CSS files.

I would like to check if this was successful before I proceed. What are the possible return values for this statement?
If no id exists.
If no option is selected.
If some other problem occurred.
In these cases am I expecting a null return; an undefined return, a false return value?
And, based upon the complete set of return possibilities, what would be the best and most comprehensive tests I could apply to cover every base.
I am using a JQuery ToolTip on all links with a title="" and it works great. I want to add another class to (.shadow) and it only seems to work with one class.

provide me with code to make a collapsible menu? What I'm looking for is a vertical menu, that will open up the sub-categories upon a mouseover. Clicking on the menu item will bring them to the specific page. Oh, and this might not matter, but I'd prefer if I was able to style the menu to fit with my site theme.

All fine and well, but what i want is that once i click a menu item, the previously clicked item should have the active state/class toggled off.. The menu is variable.
