zoom an image without getting out of the div's border? i've found many zoom scripts but all open a new frame or window or whatever and i want it to stay inside the predefined boundaries.

I can use a rollover to display a larger image next to it, but I'm not sure on how to make the image move like that one does.

You see, I have one part of my site loaded onto a different server because it was impossible to store that type of file on the server the main part of my site is on. I have tried to show the second part of the site in a frame on my main site but the site has been fixed so that it cannot be framed. Its like this basically.

I am trying to create a Google Translate widget on my webpage, with just one language pair, Latin to English. Unfortunately the Google Translate AJAX API only supports a subset of all languages available, and Latin is not included. However, Latin IS included on the Google Translate website. Apparently languages that are in beta are available there, via a different server, while only fully released languages are available via the AJAX Translate API.a) I wrote a script that generated the XMLHttpRequest() call to the server the Google Translate website uses, but it always returned a '0' status code. I have since found out that this is normal, as these kinds of calls can only be made between pages on the same server.b) I then wrote a script that created a popup, and used the baseURL+params for the URL, , and this produced a pop-up window containing the translation result. However, as that page came from a different server to the server containing the script, I could not access the results on it. The code for that is here:

Basically, the XY coordinates of the mouse are shown in the bottom left of the image as the mouse moves. However, when I am zoomed right out the coordinates are limited to that of the image 'canvas' size (1024,768) and as soon as I zoom in, the coordinates of the mouse (which is in the same place) change until I am fully zoomed in and the coordinates are limited to the original image resolution in the corners. Hope that made sense... This is the relevant code in shiftzoom.js:

Are there any JS scripts out there that support iFrame zooming... on all browsers (Mozilla, Safari, IE, etc.)???
I noticed that the following script works well on IE8 only:

Can't find any scripts through Google that would achieve the effect on other browsers.
My goal is to zoom the iFrame page to 66% its original size -- maybe Javascript is the way to go.
I have been trying to implement the zooming of images on mouse over but could not do it because:
1) I am not doing the 'list' kind of display of images.
2) I dont want other images at several positions to be distorted while one image zooms.
3) I need something by which i need not modify the large chunk of code which i used for displaying a collage of images.
I'm trying to make a script that searches the code within an iframe, then drills down to find the first instance of an image within a specific span. But there's an error in IE, and nothing in firefox. I'm not even getting the error alert, so I'm stumped.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm currently working on a site that requires a background image inside of a div tag, that upon refreshing of the page the image changes.Originally I had this working fine, as a bg image for the body. The problem is that the body now has a bg color, and all content rests inside of a container. Inside of the container is two main divs; one for content, the other for a drop shadow. The problem, is that the div that contains the header information, is not displaying a background image. I have a feeling that the bg colors of the body, content, and shadow are over riding the header. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have used draggable, and yes, the image can be moved by the user inside the div.when using the containtment:'parent' the image can not get out of the parent div,BUT I need some more functionality than that:In my app the image can be zoomed out / in When zooming out the image can grow more than the parent container then I need:
1. the image can keep growing with out affecting the dimensions of the container
2. the draggable function should still be usable so the user can see the rest of the image by dragging it.
Basically it's the same function that we use when we zoom in in photoshop and then we can move the image to see those areas that get out of the visible scope.

It shows up the image source instead of the image itself when I run it.
I've create a jquery accordian using the code provided in the main accordian page. It all works brilliantly, except when I try to show an image that will link to another page, the image does not show.
For example, In one of the accordion content areas, the code shows:

When clicking on the header to open the content however, the image does not show. I have checked the location of the image multiple times, and it is right. There isn't even a broken image that shows where the image should be. What code do I need to add to allow images to be inside the content area of accordions?
Although I have done a fair bit of html coding after taking several HTML courses, I have never become involved in JavaScript beyond adding the occasional pre-made script for a particular function.
Which is what I am trying to do at the moment. I want to insert a slide show into a page and have tried 2 scripts from Java Kit Scripts. Both are similar and I am having the same problem with both.
The problem: Inserting the image path. They both ask for the image path (naturally) and give the following examples:

But there is no reference to an "image" folder. I have tried inserting the folder name: "images/iss-bunker-1tn.jpg",
I have also tried leaving the word "images" out and also tried saving the related images in the same folder as the html coded pages. I have also tried using "shtml" pages. But nothing seems to work.
Basically I want to have a different background image for every time of the day. The function by itself works okay with onclick or onload placed in body.

I've been searching for about 3 days on this topic. I'm trying to get a template field inside of an ASP.Net detailsview control inside of an ajax updatepanel to work with the jquery datepicker. Very frustrating! I'm using VB with VS 2010. I can get the datepicker to work fine with a simple text box inside of an update panel but when I put it inside of a detailsview control it stops working.

On every row of the table I also have an element (image or button) that performs a different function that is assigned on the element itself.Unfortunately, when I click the element it also performs the function that was applied to the row in the page load. Is there any way to not call this function on element click?

I want to set the width of a div to be the same width of the image inside the div.The following code works great. But...The images are different widths, so both wrappers are set to the width of the first image. Without having to add an ID to each wrapper or image, can the wrapper width be set to the image width using the name of the image as the unique identifier?
