I am new to JavaScript and would really appreciate any help to solve my
problem.
I am using the blow code in my form to validate form fields. What I
would like to accomplish is that if when the list/menu (attribute6)
value is "Ja" then to make the TextField Pas Nr (attribute4)
required. And if when the list/menu (attribute6) value is "Nee" to
make the TextField Pas Nr (attribute4) not required.
I have tried to adjust the code with no success. I give up and hope
that someone can help me to the right direction! ....

I wonder, if we use jquery or javascript manually, how to create the dropdown menu on that textfield? I mean, ya, how to create the suggestion list menu on that textfield....? since the plugin that jquery ~autocomplete has worked well but, I need some adjustment that not just receiving 1 type of values.

I know very little javascript, I am more familiar with php. I am working with javascript code, php/mysql backend and smarty templates. I am trying to get the textfield box to update with a variable from the database based on the selection from the drop down field. My dynamic drop down selection works fine, it is pulling the data from the database (example:$item[i].PARTS_RATE_ID}) just fine. But I want the textfield ('parts_price['+iteration+']') to dynamically show the $item[i].PARTS_RATE_COST from the database (in the parts section), associated with the $item array from the "parts description".
I have a selection list that users can choose one value from about 300 different values. I wish to add some cross value vaidations to ensure some extra data gets entered should the user choose one of 50 of these values. Now I know I can write a JS validation individully fo each of the 50 as follows:

Then repeat this alidation 50 times.
My question - is there a way to shorten the code to someting like this:
var fieldx = "1, 2, 3, 4, 5"; etc with all 50 values defined here, then something like:
if theForm.field1.value==fieldx && theForm.field2.value =="" { alert("Enter field2 value"); }
The problem is...when I type in search textfield it focus in the name list..like for example i type a after I press a it was focus in the firstname, which is wrong..I think it cause from the javascript code..I want to happen is i continue typing in search textfield.

I've been beating my head against a wall for a few days trying to get this working. I'm trying to create a dynamic menu where a user selects one item and another select list is shown, then another and another (and so on). What I want is to be able to hover over a particular subject, and a sub list of links becomes visible, then by clicking on the link, the page is changed.
I have a list menu on a form and some other fields which are text boxes. When I select an item in the list box I want the associated data to be populated in the text fields. The list box is dynamically populating ok and the database connections is working fine. I am using Dreamwever and believe this can be done with the server behaviours.
The aim is to be able to choose from the list box, then either edit or delete the associated record. Or maybe I am going about this the wrong way.
I have a HTML form that contains input fields, checkboxes and a list menu. I can check to make sure a user has entered data in the input fields and I can also check if the user has selected a checkbox.I can't figure out how to check if a user has selected an item from with in my list menu.
It's just a simple jquery pricing calculator. The problem is the original code given was for checkboxes only I suppose. I am wanting to use list/menu as well. The list menu works and adds the values fine in FF, but not in IE
