I'm basically making a form for a class and have to make it so the user can enter their mailing address or e-mail. I can make the Javascript identify errors such as missing fields, but I wan't the purpose of my radio buttons to be so that the user does not have to enter all fields depending on which radio button they select. Here is all of the code I have so far, in a basic sense that this will identify missing fields.
<html>
I'm using classes because I can't seem to get ID's to work, but the main problem is that doing it the following way makes the page skip directly to my confirmation page without ever checking the fields, so no error messages appear. This is a general sense of what I'm trying to achieve:
function validateForm()
I think more what I'm looking for is the syntax to identify the radio button status.
how I can make each radio button call a different page. For example If i click on radio button 1 and click submit it will take me to [url].... and if I click radio button 2 and click submit .
I'm having a problem in identifying the current element. I have a for loop, within which i'm creating a 'TD' and then a 'A' (anchor). I have added an eventListener (onclick event) to the <a>, which invokes a method. The problem is i'm unable to identify on which <a> the user has clicked. extracted code:
Code: for(i=0; i < count; i++) { .... .... var td2=document.createElement('TD'); // Add title var title = document.createElement("a"); [Code]...
I have it set up so that there are three frames (frames and the use of javascript are encourage for practice) "bar" on the left with navigational options, "main" in the center where the body of the drill is presented, and "feedback" along the bottom where the feedback will appear.
My issue is that I have everything working except the form! I'm not sure how to make it so that upon clicking the submit button the feedback is presented in the "feedback" frame. This was suggested to me but isn't working, maybe I have a mistake somewhere? Or is there another way I can do this?
<html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function CheckCheckbox() {
I have a form that I am validating all fields. I successfully completed the Javascript functions for that...the problem is that within this validation I need to check if a specific selection was made within a radio group (array) and if , let's say "Yes" was selected, then another radio group would not be required. Code:
is it possible to make a checkbox dependent on a radio button choice? For instance in the code below, if someone were to choose the radio button with the value "admin", the checkbox value "full" (user_admin_f) would automatically be checked?
I'm trying to make a form element only appear if a radio button has been selected.I have two buttons (yes and no).If Yes is selected I'd like a text input field to appear.I have the following:
my group of radio buttons are named "scheme". I have tried this from a few angles but can't crack it. Ideally I'd like to use input:radio[value:yes]. It's already a required value due to the JQuery validation plugin, and I simply need it to make the other field visible when yes is clicked on.
Does anybody know how i check to see if the radio button is select and also can anybody tell me how i can check for an email in the correct format the function isValidEmail in the above alows emails to pass through.
The following javascript coding is used in a "select a city" dropbox.
I made a submit button. I want the button to redirect the page to "page1.html". "page1.html" will be a webpage with events located in Auburn, Alabama, United States.
My submit button:
Here is my function:
Right now my button doesn't recognize if i select "Auburn", so it never sends me to "page1.html". Can someone please help me write the correct if statement?
I am a PHP programmer and new to Javascript and jQuery and I have tried about 20 examples/tutorials and cannot seem to get even close to what I want.I have a form (PHP/MySQL) with a list of subjects I got from my database, and then create a set of radio buttons from that list. And based on what radio button they select, I need to pass that variable to a div (at least that's what I want to use) and then show a list of videos that match the radio buttons value. I don't care if its a get or post or other.I tried to use GET or POST so I can use that value for my PHP/MySQL lists.I am open to any suggestions/tutorials, etc.
I am trying to come up with a script that will validate a radio group based upon the status of a checkbox.If box is checked radio button is required else it can stay false.here is as far as I have gotten so far. just a basic if statement but i need to incorporate the check box
Code:
function validate_form ( ) { valid = true;[code]......
I have a form where you can enter 1 player's data, press a button and that DIV gets cloned below with same ID names but numbers get augmented (ie firstName_1 in div player_1 becomes firstName_2 in player_2). My problem now is I have a Gender radio button and that if you fill out the gender question and then press the 'Add Player' button the checked status seems to disappear from the cloner div but is retained in the clonee div.
IE you can set gender_1 to 'Male' in div player_1 (checked with DOM inspector and console logging) but when stepping thru the code in firebug
l need to apply a hover css on a radio button. Currently the background color only draws a box around the radio button but does not the actual radio color. l dont mind if there is no css even javascript will do
Need a script which selects a second radio button when the first radio button in the pair is clicked with the second button greyed/disable but still displaying the selection.
(Hoping to keep the input 'name' the same too if possible - maybe they can be differentiate by 'id' for the script ?)
Code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head>
With my current javascipt code I have successfully implemented jQuery Form Plugin with my own page. It hooks forms and submits them, and upon either failure or success the proper function is fired (success and error options of ajaxForm) and the XML is handled.
However, whenever I add a <input type="file"> my code fails to determine wether or not an error occured, since the HTTP code of the request seems to be set to 0, and thereby somehow being treated as "success" event, which it clearly isn't, as the PHP returning the XML sends a HTTP 400. (Firebug confirms this.)
Simply put, why does the file upload cause a 100% "success"-rate with HTTP status 0 where it shouldn't, and how could I work around this if required?
I have a issue - I'm hiding and showing div's when the radio is clicked but currently you have to click twice for the div to show - what am i doing wrong?[code]...
Im trying to configuere a form that a.a radio buttons that allow the user to choose between quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies and show image when click on my radio button.how to get the image to display whenthey click on the radio button?
I have a set of radio buttons each with an onclick event that has a numeric value. When the button is clicked an input box called "Total" is updated with the new value. The problem I'm having is that if a radio button is checked and one clicks on it again then the onclick event is triggered.
Is there any way to prevent the onclick event from triggering if the radio button is already checked?
I have 3 radio buttons with the same name ("myradio"). The value of each is a different URL (eg. value="http:[url]...)I have a link underneath these (<a href="#">Send</a>). I would like the selected radio button's value to be inserted into the href of the link, and if the user selects a different radio button that this changes.
I have a form with 4 radio buttons, the scenario is, when a user click on a radio button a hidden content will be displayed and the other three radio buttons will be disabled so that at one time a user can only click and view single radio button and the hidden content.Here is my code to show hide the hidden content but i need when the user select one radio button the other radio buttons should disable.
So i got the jquery autocomplete working on my website, but im unable to make the returned values links they have the a tag but nothin happens when you click them... an example is here..[URL]..
I am attempting to pass a value from child to parent window. My issue is that I can't get the value of my radio button to the parent when there is more than one radio button. I get a result of "undefined".
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html lang="en" dir="ltr">[code].....
I wish to get the id of the <input type="image"> in the client-side before it generate the postback in the server-side. However, i always received a "null" or "[Object]", which is displayed using the "window.alert()" method.
This is my coding used to create the image button:
Below is the Btn1_onClick() which is called onclick:
<script> function Btn_onClick(control){ window.alert(window.document.getElementById(control.id)); //window.alert(window.event.srcElement); } </script>
I have also tried using the "window.document.getElementsByTagName(tag)", "window.document.getElementsByName(name)" and "window.event.srcElement", but still return the "[object]" message.
Btw, i am creating a user control (.ascx) in ASP.net, therefore i wont be able to use <form> tags.
