I have the following page: [URL] All the track listings for the album are mapped as links. What I'd like to have happen is the image above, of the album art, change to cover art for the album from which the track originally came, as well as the .mp3 for the track play, when you click the link. I found this script which does the image change, it just does it for the entire background image, and I need it to change just the upper of the two images on the page.
I am trying to customize the navigation on The Simple Controls Gallery.so that instead of the play buttons being displayed the anchor links are the ones that are being cycled through.immediately received an error indicating that an element had not been called correctly. How do I call those anchor links correctly.I place the javascript call on the links themselves which provided me with the functionality of pressing each one to make the gallery advance forward or backwards, but how would I make it so that as the images rotate the anchor links hightlight giving an indication of what the current image link is?
I want to have a big image and say 5 small thumbnails underneath. When the user clicks a thumbnail, the image loads where the previous big image was. Is there a standard way to do this?
On my website I've got a simple animated .gif I want to play each time someone clicks a link on the menu bar. The problem is that while the image changes successfully, the webpage changes too quickly so the animated.gif won't play.
I'm assuming this has something to do with setTimeout though I'm too much of a noob at Java to get this right.
I have about 40 images on an educational website. When the user clicks each image, a different one second long mp3 should play without opening a new window. Is it possible to do this with javascript?
I'm faced with a problem from my employer on making a flash video play when an image is rolled over. In a sense, with many images on the page (which represent a video), the user can preview a small sample of that clip when rolled over by the mouse. I know that when the image is rolled over I must somehow bring the player infront of the image using z-index, but can't seem to work out the details oh how to get it to play.
Does anyone have any examples I can draw from in order to help me complete this task?
need a script that swap image and play sound on mouseover i already did the swaping image effect but i still need the sound to be played on mouseover .... the link is
I'm looking for a very simple image gallery solution (no lightbox or something other fance) with a large image and a x amount of thumbnails at one off the sides, where the big image change whenever another thumbnail is clicked, without page refresh. ( a fade transition would be nice)!Which Plugin, preferably as light as possible, is the most suitable for this task?

I am using the youtube chromeless player and embeding videos with loadVideoById() method problem is that videos with an id that contains an underscore or dash dont play although they play in the normal player. I also tried replacing with a hex value in querystring i.e (%5f) but that did not work I also tried loadVideoByUrl() method with several urls but still they don't load. here is my code
function switchToPlayer(ytid){ var params = { allowScriptAccess: "always"}; var atts = { id: ytid,onmouseover: "this.playVideo()",onmouseout: "this.pauseVideo()"}; swfobject.embedSWF("http://www.youtube.com/apiplayer?border=0&enablejsapi=1&playerapiid="+ytid, 'cell'+ytid, "150", "120", "8", "scripts/expressInstall.swf",null,params,atts); } [Code]....
What I am trying to accomplish is: onmouseover to change the default css top margin. Here is what I got so far, but it does not seem to be working correctly.
I have an input box with a 'did you mean' box that pops up under it, and it pulls it's results from another php page, however when a term with a space in it, such as "I am" vs. "Im" is entered, it stops working. This is the code I'm using to pull the results. So I made a added a simple string replace to change each space into '+'; search = $('#search').val().replace(' ','+'); search.keyup(function() { results.load('results.php?q=' + search); }); But for some reason it is only changing the first space into a '+'; so for example: "Hello how are you" = "Hello+how are you". But I need it to change to "Hello+how+are+you";
I am using CSS text-shadow but of course IE doesn't like it. I've looked into some methods for achieving the same effect in IE, but it's not at all the same so I've opted for another method..I'm going to have two layers. In layer1, it will be standard text, shadowed with CSS. I then screenshotted that and will use the resulting jpeg for layer2.I was then planning to find a script that:1. Detects if browser is IE2. If IE, layer2 is visible, layer1 is invisible3. If not IE, layer1 is visible, layer2 is invisibleThe problem is that I can't find a simple script to detect if the browser's IE or not. I can find loads of scripts that check what version of IE someone's using. The version isn't important!
also I save it to my desktop as an html file and when I click on it to run I get the information bar block and go through the other 2 steps to try and display the page but it just comes up blank so my questions are how do I display the image and how do I turn off the annoying info bar?
Code: <html> <script language="Javascript"> if (document.images) { [url].....
What happens: You see both image1 and image3, but when you mouse over either of them, nothing happens...So I'm trying to have "multiple images" rollover...
Edit: So by adding in the red, that's when all rollovers cease to function.
I just need something that rotates/slides a few images when a page loads. I'd guess Jquery would work best? But it needs to work in all browsers, and I have read some horror stories about ones that don't. Any good recommendations?
I am currently studying javascript - talk about a whole new world!!I need a simple code for a web page where the thumb images are lined up and when the mouse moves over the image, a larger size of the image is shown above the smaller images.
I have spent hours on the net trying to find something, but can only find either overly complicated or having to download plugins.
