If you see this site: [URL]. You will see the button +info. By clicking there, I show or hide a <div> using the below js function:
<script language="javascript">
function toggle() {
var ele = document.getElementById("toggleText");
if(ele.style.display == "block") {
ele.style.display = "none";
} else {
ele.style.display = "block";
window.scrollTo(100,300)
}}
</script>
The problem I have here, is that each time the "next" or "prev" buttons are pressed (< or >) reload the page, and I want to reload the URL but with last status for the ele.style.display. I don't know if I am clear enough, but for instance, I open the website home, then click in +info, it shows the hidden div, then click in next button ">", I want that +info is opened if previously it was opened.

Any way to send them back to the shown div or stop the reload?
I am trying to hide/show table when hide/show button is pressed
Problem: The code works fine when I remove 'slow' from line 10. But with 'slow' in line 10 content of toggleButton doesnt change from Hide to Show when pressed.
I want to hide the url in the status bar. Once the url is surfed, I want to show a message not the url itself. I know that it should be done using Javascript but I don't how know
I know it's possible to manipulate the status bar when a user scrolls over links, but is there a way to completely disable or hide it? I have a flash program that connects to a database every 5 seconds, so the status bar always says "transfering data from..." It gets quite annoying, so I was wondering if there was any way to stop the status bar from displaying this message. If I can't hide it, it would be nice if I could get the status bar to say "Done".
My webcraft pages has 2 frames one for menu and another to load the cooresponding page selected in the menu. When clicking a link in the menu some page are taking long time to load in the right frame. So i wud like to show page is loading message till the page is loaded in the frame. I tried with some methods but its not working. Am not sure whats going wrong.
1. Every time your page loads a "init()" function will load.
2. Define a div named "loading" right after <body> section.
3. Place this javascript code right after you define the div.
I used the above method also but not working. Is it because am loading it in a Frame? If so what i have to do to show the message.
For a site I will be working on, It will require people to upload large files. We don't want the users to think that nothing is happening, so we would like to be able to show a progress meter of the progress of the upload.
The file will be submitted through a normal form on a page (or any other way possible through the browser). Is there a javascript progress bar I could use for this purpose?

I have a form and in the form is a checkbox use as a switch to hide and unhide a two textbox. When the other textbox is hide, the other is unhide such as the code below. When the user click the submit button on the first time and there is an error, it reloads and the id="fieldset.-in_honor" hide because it is set to hide initially but not empty. My problem is, I want to show the fieldset whichever is not empty after submit button is click and there is an error so user will not enter any more information to the other field. Is that possible?
/*toggle switch*/ <p><input type="checkbox" name="in_honor" value="" id="checkmemoriam" onclick="showHide(this.name);" />Please check to make this donation in honor of someone special.</p> /*hide textbox but unhide when the switch is on or the checbox is check*/ <fieldset id="fieldset-in_honor" class="fieldgroup" style="display:none"> <legend class="hide">In Honor Of</legend> <p>To make this donation in honor of someone special, please complete the two fields below:</p> <div class="formfield" <?php echo highlight('donate_honor_name'); ?>> <label for="donate_honor_name">Name:</label> <input id="donate_honor_name" name="donate_honor_name" class="text" type="text" value="<?php safeEcho($form['donate_honor_name'])?>" /> <?php helper_error('donate_honor_name'); ?> </div> <div class="formfield" <?php echo highlight('donate_honor_acknowledgement'); ?>> <label for="donate_honor_acknowledgement">Acknowledgement should be sent to:</label> <textarea id="donate_honor_acknowledgement" name="donate_honor_acknowledgement"><?php safeEcho($form['donate_honor_acknowledgement'])?>
I'm using a jquery slider for displaying content on a webpage.
[url]
Like in the first examples i have 5 panels, and i have a meta navigation, contact, links ect. all thedifferent content for the meta-navigation is displayed via jquery in panel 5, and is working fine.
Now my question; when the user is for example on the second panel, and the clicks on links, the page should show panel 5 (which is the index page(default.asp)), and then show only the content for the links.
I tried different stuff for loading the defautl.asp page, but it doesn't work. how do i tell, that if i click on the link wirh class="kontakt" the page should load the default.asp, and THEN do all the jquery stuff?
Below is one example, what i tried, but did not work.
I always want "smenu3" to show with "smenu4" and "smenu5" collapsed... When the user clicks the link, it calls a javascript function to show "smenu4" like so...
Is there a difference between right clicking an iframe and reloading post reponse vs. using javascript to reload the frame? So far, the javascript route hasn't worked for me. [some context] I am writing a little bookmarklet to help me with the online registrations at my school. Here is the setup.
Load up a page on the domain. Remove all body elements. Insert an iframe. Set iframe to page for class roster search. (in iframe on school search page) Select class search options, POST the form data, and view results in frame. *This works perfectly, but I need to have it refresh results every minute or so. When I use frame.contentDocument.location.reload(true); the frame loses the post data or something and the page is broken. BUT when I just right click on the frame and select "reload frame" it works perfectly. What is the difference between rightclicking the frame and refreshing it like that vs. using javascript to reload the frame?
I have a simple product display with an product image. The product image changes with ajax when i click in a dropdown menu on another color.
Now i added the (beautiful) zoom script cloud zoom. It just works fine but after i click on another color and the product image reloads the script does not work anymore. instead my <a> is just a normal <a>.
This is the part that reloads at all:
How can i reload the function when this part reloads? Or what else could i do?
I am trying to hide some form elements in a form by default and show/hide depending on which radio button is clicked. This is what I have but it is not working: Code:
I'd like to have a show/hide widget on my web site, kind of like "show details" / "hide details" in Google Groups. Is there a tutorial explaining how to make them? Google's is a bit complex and it's easy to get something wrong. If the browser does not support the required features, I want it to generate a completely static page with the "details" shown automatically.
i have 5 sections in seperate divs and i am trying to collapse them using anchor onclicks and some js to toggle the display style. I am a little unsure of how to make this piece of code work a little more elegantly(lack of js symantic knowledge). Code:
I have 5 links and 5 divs. When the page loads I've set the visibility of first div to visible and all the rest are hidden. When the user clicks on second link I want to hide all the other divs and show only second. Similarly when the user clicks third link I want to show third div only. You get the idea. Here is what I have so far. Nothing happens when I click the second link.
