Send Hidden Variable To External URL?

I wanted to know if there is way in Javascript to send a hidden variable to an external URL without actually submitting to the URL?
Code below is what I intend to do. I want to use an image to do an onClick event and send the name to an external URL without actually doing a submit.

I am trying to send a form value (a 15 digit number) to an external URL, so that the URL populates with the form value and opens in a new window when the user hits submit on the form.
The external URL that the form links to is in this format:[url]
Is there a piece of JS I can use that will populate the ORDERNUMBER field with the 15 digit form value when the user hits submit?

I've used a few jquery things before, but I haven't a clue when it comes to javascript, so I've mainly just modified variables here and there. This is my first attempt at actually writing something, and well.....its not working
Im trying to send an ajax post to an external file, which simply returns 'Complete' after updating the db. My html gives me an ul, with li elemnts, representing names of comics.

I start outside of the external JS file by: reviews.init(); reviews.initialiseContent('comment'); This loads my data and loads + sets the comment tab as default. My problem is that in the external JS file (shown below) the loadTabs variable will not allow me to pass it a variable: contentDiv.onclick = this.initialiseContent; Whenever I pass a variable here it errors, am I setting this up correctly, should I be using prototype for my this. variables? Interested to hear back on if this structure of code is the right way to go about this and also how I can pass a variable in this way :)

I load external php page using jqury plugin . with this line:

How to hidden href url ( cat.php ) for more security and not show in html source code page?
Example:

Block 12 is php code to generate cat.php addresse
Block 13 is php code to generate data.php addresse

I am trying to set up a five star rating system, I found a stock framework that I am adding to but I ran across a problem.

The problem is in the sendRate function. It has the variable sel passed into it, and if i try to send sel.title it passes the title according to what the user selects, however, if i try to just pass the "sel" it doesnt get through..
how to send the value of "sel" variable to me perl script?

I am trying to send a variable between flash and js. the javascript is on the same html page. and since nothing is working i tried the most basic thing. in the html i have an alert like this:

I think it is all correct but IT IS NOT WORKING! not in firefox and not in ie6 so i am thinking that it is some thing with my browzers or my computer (in other cases i do get an alert message so i know the js is working).

I have a javascript in the head of the document which has a variable named "ref2" ... ref2 is already working as I can see its value working in another function. I need to send this variable as the value of a hidden field in the form which is in the body of the document.

When I execute the form, it doesn't work the way it should, plus, gives me a word "undefined" next to the "Submit" button .....

I have a base html page which contains several thumbnail images with links to enlarged images which I'd like to view in an external page [so I can control the dimensions of the enlarged image]. I thought it best to use an externaltemplate html page to launch these within and therefore imagine I need to declare the variable in the thumb links page & image they may need to look something like this:
<a href="mytemplate.html?imgVar=/images/collection/large1.jpg">thumb1.jpg</a>
<a href="mytemplate.html?imgVar=/images/collection/large2.jpg">thumb2.jpg</a>
<a href="mytemplate.html?imgVar=/images/collection/large3.jpg">thumb3.jpg</a>
Then in the external page pick up the variable something like:
<img src="imgVar">
I've looked all over Google & can only see something similar to this in php. Is there a way to achieve this with jQuery instead?

i am trying to create a form that where the page will not refresh if the form is submitted specially if the user inputs any errors in the form my problem is i do not know how to send multiple variables using jquery to a php file i saw somewhere that in order to do this you need to concatenate the variables you will be sending this is the code i am using

the jquery successfully sends the variable to the php file the problem is once i insert it into a database all the variables i sent are concatenated for example in the column stud_no once you send the form this is what will be inserted "123123name=asdasd"

a user goes to a page, selects a value from a select box then clicks a link to run a report using that hidden variable as a parameter. I am attempting to place the value in the URL to pass it. I'm sure the javascript is working, and maybe it's the HTML I've messed up - not sure.Here is the javascript (the alert does return the correct value):

I know very little about Javascript. I'm trying to use a function to specify a condition for an if statement. I can't edit the function because it is external.
Specifically; I am trying to use a geolocation service (geoPlugin to geolocate your visitors) to taylor part of my wesite. The service provides javascript functions here.
I am only interested in knowing which continent the visitor is from -
function geoplugin_continentCode() { return 'EU';}
In my case this function returns EU. What I want is to trigger a simple alert box onload but only where the continent code shows NA (which - I think - it will do if a visitor to my website is based in North America.)
I can't figure out if there is a way to use a function return as a variable if one can't edit the function? Or is this just something I can't do with Javascript?

In some hidden variable (<input type="hidden" name="hiddenId"
value="test" /> ,i stored some value.I accessed the value "test" using
var id = document.getElementById( 'hiddenId' );
It is working fine in IE. But in Mozilla Firefox , null value is
returned.Is there any way to use hidden variables compatible to
browsers......?
I don't know browser compatibility in javascript.

I'm trying to insert a javascript variable into a hidden input form
field. Here's what it looks like:

I have a PHP based calendar where the cells will change color depending on the number of clicks.. this all works fine, but is pointless if I can't send the outcome along in an email. I can do this with PHP but first need to get the values into a hidden field. This is what I have:

All I'm trying to do is populate value with either 'available', 'not available', 'working' or 'not set'... however, it is worth noting that each cell may have a different value, e.g. 1 cell might be working while the other is not available... so i need to pass the values of all the cells.
