View 2 RepliesI found this script online that lets users on an iPhone drag boxes around the screen. The problem is that when you reload the page, the boxes are in different positions than what they were before the reload. Like, you would drag the boxes around and then reload the page, but the boxes would be in the default locations. I want the boxes to stay in the same spot that they were the previous time they moved them. Does that make sense? Anyways, here's the example I found online: [URL] Only works on iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch.

I need to use the save page function in the website, but the document.execCommand("SaveAs") command only can run in IE, can't run in Netscape and FireFox. How should i do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn my site I show low quality pictures. When someone right clicks an

high quality picture.
I've got a form that's nested in a larger application. I need to
program it so that the user is warned to save upon clicking on any
exit point in the application.
So, if they click on any of the nav buttons in the header/nav bar,
they need to get an alert:
"Would you like to continue without saving your changes?"
_Yes_ _No_
It would be a big pain to retrofit the application's nav
buttons/framework for just these forms, so I'm looking for a solution
that doesn't require editing the source code of the application's
existing navigation.
What are my options?
Is there any plugin can let me save the part of page as pdf?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHow do I create a JavaScript script to save a web page's source code to a file?
Example: I will go to a website, it automatically from the web page's source code will be saved to a file.
I'd like to save a single page automatically. The page uses javascript, and therefore I can't seem to use links, elinks, lynx, w3m or curl (I've tried them with spidermonkey but it keeps telling me to enable javascript) to do so properly, it always saves everything except the javascript rendered output.
So I think the only what to do it would be in a web browser. So, say for intstance, I want to save the the main page, [url] and have it automatically save to my C:google.htm. How would I do that? Is this possible?
I was browsing the jQuery site and the mouse position tutorial page has some questionable links.
I tried to edit the page to remove them, but the page has been locked to editing.

I have recently worked on a flash based learning course and built functionality where users throughout the course can type in their own notes based on the course, and they can revisit these everytime they launch the course, the functionality is simply using flash cookies to store the notes on the users machine. I wanted to build functionality so that they could then save these notes to their hard disk and e-mail them on. To do this I call a javascript function from flash which opens a new webpage, passes through the notes from flash and uses document.write to write the notes to the new webpage. Then the user Saves (as web page html only) to save a copy to their machine.
The problem is I want to do this web page up a bit more, add graphics etc. but if I save as web page html only it won't include any images I add to the html page, and if I change it so that they save as (Web Page Complete) rather than write the webpage out with the notes it will write the webpage with the code document.write(string) but as this is on the users hard disk now string will be undefined as it no longer run alongside the course. Is their any other way anyone can think of doing this type of functionality, I am trying to stay away from using PHP
I am currently developing a page which allows access to music on a server. This music is being streamed, but users are also able to download this music (assuming they have the license to do so). All of the music uploaded is of the .mp3 format, however they have no filetype extensions, and were not named using any particular naming convention. Because of this, I was hoping to change the filename (when a downloaded is initiated) to variables I have stored based on the current song.
I am currently simply opening a new page, in Chrome is looks like this: chrome.tabs.create({ "url": song.url })
Hit presents the user with a prompt to save the file, however, its default name is a random alphanumeric string with no extension, as per their file name on my server. Is there an easy way to do this without renaming all the music server side? I do have the variables song.title and song.artist setup!
Edit: Since this page is only for Chrome users, I listed the code I am using. I understand window.open and was originally using this. It functions the same, and if I need to revert back to using is instead, I shall.
I use NETSCAPE established a catalog page in XML, which uses Javascript-DOM to add, remove and sort the products by their prices. But which Javascript function should I use in order to save the modified page into local hard disk? to sort products as well.

I have just got my web site to the point where I am about to upload
it, but I have come across a problem which I do not know what to look
for on the web. I will try to describe the problem the best I can. I
have a page with pictures in a table of 3 X 10 all pictures are
thumbnails 100 X 90 all is just fine, but I have a link to pages from
the thumbnails but when I return to the thumbnails I start back at the
top of the thumbnails page. I have been told that this can be done
with JavaScript but I do not know what to look you on the web, I have
tried to look for something [Remember page position, Page history] but
with no luck I have not done any JavaScript before and do not know
where to start, so any help would be great.
