Requesting Consecutive Tables Through AJAX And PHP, Links In 2nd Disabled
Jun 23, 2011
On a webpage, I have a table (generated on page load through php/html) on the side that has several links (one on each row), and when you click any of them it calls a javascript function (href='javascript:newtable()') that uses an ajax requests to populate the table again (performed by a php file echoing an html table that is placed into a div innerHTML on the page), this time with new items and links on each row/cell. In this second table, none of the javascript links or buttons work after the first row.
For whatever reason, after calling consecutive ajax requests to re-populate an HTML table, the links in the first row of the 2nd table work and call javascript functions, but for any row thereafter the links or buttons no longer work.
I have a pdf form that has an invoice number I would like to make the number in the text field add (1) each time the document open and save it, so that the next time the document is opened it will display a consecutive number. Example: 9078, 9079, 9080, 9081...etc.
i was using $.ajax method to get my ajax page on my main page, which is working great. But now if i have links in that ajax page then i can't open them in that same div,the links are opening in new window, but i want to open in same part,i tried google it and then found, i have to use iframe instead of div.how to do with only use jquery and div.
I have a form in my homepage which takes some values. In that, a text box takes multiple values seperated by spaces. I have allowed only alphanumeric characters in that with the following code.
The Problem: So a user clicks on "web development" for example. This triggers the mousedown function correctly. The user then clicks on "web development" again. This no longer triggers the mousedown event. BUT if you move the mouse around or click a different link it will trigger the function correctly.
I have a column of links that use ajax to load content into the adjacent DIV, and I have used the loadobs function to load the JS and CSS files along with the external file. Now within the external file I have used javascript to create a 3 tab section; when you first load the page it is fine BUT if you navigate away from the page and then try going back and loading the same external page then the tabs stop working and all the content of the tabbed sections stack ontop of one another as though the javacript isnt working?
It is a work in progress but the page I am having the problems on can be found at [url] if you click on the top link in the left hand column called Tara - Female vocalist you will be able to see where the tabs are.
I'll admit to being a newbie with JQuery, XML and Ajax. I'm trying to create a page which pulls dynamic links from an XML file. Here is the page: [URL] Here is the link to the xml file: [URL] I can get the url to pull as text, but I cannot make it into a link, no matter what I seem to try. I'm sure it's a syntax error - but I just don't know enough to know what it is. I'm also going to need to pull a URL for an image, and I am guessing that the process is similar.
on the top of the page with the pictures scrolling with news and links inside of them without using flash. like with ajax or something? and if it can be done... how would i go about it?
Tabs jQuery v2.7.4 of stilbuero. I want to use Ajax Mode and open the links in a specifically container. For example: <div id="box"> <ul id="tabs"> <li><a href="01.html"><span>Tab one</span></a></li> <li><a href="02.html"><span>Tab two</span></a></li> <li><a href="03.html"><span>Tab three</span></a></li> </ul></div> ... <div id="container"></div><!-- Open external links here (01.html, 02.html and 03.html) -->
Iīve gone thru a few exaples of the 'hello world' equivalent for ajax; the classic example having main.html with div id="main_panel", then having ON THE SAME folder of the main.html file, the few files for getting via ajax and then render itīs content inside div id=main_panel and so on, happy with that;my question is: All of those examples, always get those 'few files', lets say, one.html, two.html, and so, in the same folder where main.html resides; I want to achieve to have the 'some files' in a different folder, letīs say, /editors/ relative to the path where main.html is; Iīve done this, the ajax call works fine; the PROBLEM is that the xmlhttpresponse (consumed ajax text) wich is basically html 4, changes the links (hrefs) in those to the path of main, letīs say, for example, one.html has a link that points to itself, not an anchor, just a link pointing to itself as we often use for pagination of a grid, well, that link href attribute is changed to the path of the main.html file, and not preserving the original href attribute... why? where should I start from? changing the context parametere prior to calling ajax get?
I have an ajax script which loads new content onto the page when the main navigation links is clicked. I also have a jquery script which fades divs in and out when another subset of links are clicked.
I guess these scripts essentially do the same thing but the first basically is loading in 'pages' without the page having to refresh. The second is just fading in and out divs that are on a page.
The problem is is that the second script only seems to work once, when the page is loaded.
I am new to jquery, and love it so far, but I am more of a designer, not a developer. I am learning jquery to enhance my sites, and I am having a problem figuring out buttons.
I have them working in firefox and safari, but in IE links do not work.
Basically, when you click a link a function is called with a parameter based on the particular link you run. Then the code runs through an xml file, and if the parent of the nodes I've cyling through has a value equal to the parameter past to the function, that node is used to create a new link with window.open function attached to it.It all works, or seems to, and when I alert what is being built, it looks right to me, yet the links don't work.I've attached a copy of one of the alerts of one of the links as it's built.
I'm working on a script that inserts things into tables. It's complicated and involves xmlhttp and lots of stuff, but I've narrowed the problem down to something simple. The following code does not work in IE. It doesn't generate an error, but simply displays nothing. Here is the code:
I have a table that holds a form. At the bottom of the table it has a link that says ... "Add another entry" When clicked it should add another table below that one for the user to fill out. This is designed for a Resume Builder where the user will be able to input multiple jobs. I have the script "kinda" working but the only problem is that I have to try and cram the entire table code into ONE line. If it expands multiple lines it doesn't work. I was wondering if anyone could help me out on that one... Code:
I have created a table 2cols x 10rows. I would like to put a javascript that when I entered a value (string or integer) in cell 1, the other cell will be populated by the same value. It sort of copy and paste.
I've created an XML-RPC server, and would like to somehow bind the XML server responses to a table for users to view. Here's the catch, that data changes frequently (every few seconds), so I'm using setInterval to periodically get updated XML content from the server.
Currently, the setInterval function requests the entire dataset, then rewrites the entire table. I'm concerned that it's a waste of bandwidth, and disrupts the user scrolling through the data whenever it rewrites. Ideally, I'll have the XML-RPC server generate only data changed since the last request, then somehow update the table with the changes.
I have my own library for web-design building - active forms, lists. I am going to build tabbing component. The complexity in this process is that all web forms uniformed and are built as TABLEs, where each field is TR. Tabs have to show/hide some of table rows.
I don't know how TR's properties must be changed in order to hide them all. I tried make HTML code like <TR>...</TR> .... <DIV id=tab1> <TR>...</TR> .... </DIV> <TR>...</TR> ....
And tried to change visibility of a DIV, but this doesn't work. How can I change visibility of set of TRs?
Here's the situation: I have a simple php file which retrieves data from a mysql database and displays it in a table. However, the number of records has gotten so large that retrieving all the data takes a lot of memory and the browser freezes.
I been googling for a solution and some1 mentioned something called live scrolling where the data is retrieved only when you scroll up or down. Since am just an amateur and not familiar with XML, XSL, etc; can any1 recommend some link where i could find some JS script with such a feature? one that's easy to get started with if possible...
