Banner Rotation With Forward Back Buttons?
Nov 16, 2009I currently manage a website that has a simple banner rotation javascript that randomly rotates banner images and the associated link every few seconds. I have been asked to replace it with a script that will be sequential in rotation and have a couple small button options just below the banner to move forward or backward through the selection.
I figured instead of reinventing the wheel someone surely has a simple a banner rotator with forward/back options, but darn if I can find one. There are countless scripts out there, but I can�t find one where the user can select the next banner before its allotted time. It would be simple enough in flash, but it was requested I stay with java script.
Anyone have any leads for a very basic banner rotation script that incorporates the forward/back selection option?

Jan 24, 2011I am wondering how Back, Forward browser button works for iframes. Does it bring back/forward iframe or top window? I remember I had before a problem because I wanted to bring back iframe and not top window as it did. But today I tested my Facebook app and was surprised to see it works as I need which means it brings back/forward iframe window and not top. Is it possible that Facebook has some javascript code which does that or is this normall behaviour?

Disabling The Back/forward Buttons I Created On My Web Page
Nov 7, 2005I want to create back and forward buttons on my web page. I didn't havena problem with that... the thing I am having trouble with is I would like to display "disabled" images when there if there isn't a page to go back/forward...how would I go about doing that?

Aug 10, 2011i'm New to JQuery and I recently had a problem with encorporating a transition at the beginning and end of my carousel. I found that by default it would Fast Forward/Fast Rewind through all the images at the ends, rather than just jump to the slide and wrap.
I've managed to solve the issue (bar a transition effect from the last slide back to the first) it now jumps to slide one, rather than rewinding through all the images. However (and i know this sounds silly) but i'm having trouble doing the reverse. I'll add both the zip file to show a working model if interested and also post the 2 relevant functions :)

History.back() - Div With The Controls Doesn't Show
Dec 2, 2009I have a page which I've just added a div to so that it will show/hide 'advanced' search options. The problem is that I've not found a way to 'show' the div when a history.back() command is used.
First off I had it so that the div style was display:none. Site user would click on 'Refine Your Search' to show the additional fields. That worked fine, but the customer wants it so that when they go back from the search results to the search page it 'remembers' which boxes were ticked.
The problem is that when it does the history.back(), the 'Refine Your Search' radio button is selected but the div with the controls doesn't show. So, thinking I was clever I thought of an alternative way to skin this cat .
Instead of having the style of the div set as display:none I would set it as display:block and then have a javascript function that would set it to display:none when the page initialised. That way the 'default' state for the div would be display:block.
No dice...even though in the source code it shows the style of the div as being display:block the div STILL doesn't show.

Click on 'refine your search', tick a box (e.g. air conditioning) and then click the search button. Then at the bottom of the results page click the link to go back. You'll see the problem.

What I want to happen on page load is for #1 to fade out after a few seconds and fade in at the the bottom of the list with #2, #3, and #4 moving up to fill the space. So the order would now be #2, #3, #4, #1. I then want this process to continue with #2 moving down to replace #4, and so on, an infinite loop.

Then on More he can see para 3. Yet if he wants to see the description he can do so. Once he is out of the popupbox description the popup box should disappear.I am trying, on a mouseout, display nothing. Yet if the user hovers over Description he will be able to see the para2 and if he hovers over More he will be able to see para 3. If he doesnt hover any of those then the popupbox doesnt display for any of the three.
