I have a form inside an iFrame which I want to submit with javascript as the iFrame loads.For example:

Im trying to use javascript history to resize an iframe when a submit button is clicked inside the iframe.

Im trying to submit a form , which holds another form tags inside (i must do it this way) the problem is that this doesn't work on IE, while it works perfect on Firefox
the button seems to have no effect on the page... its like it is not connected to the form....

I did tryed to change the button to input type=submit... but it doesn't work also....

for the first time. All the alerts after the first one have the same value even when myid is changing in pagetwo.htm (tested alerting it in there).I thought that by using setInterval I would be checking for a fresh value every 9 seconds but what I get is the same old value every 9 seconds

My problem is when a client submits the search form in the iframe search results page is higher than the search main page and half of search results page is not shown. Is there a way to sense that the page in the iframe is changed and resize the iframe height accordingly?

I have everything working, but I want to be able to hide the iframe and get the content of it, and put just the content inside of it into another div on the page. I have tried alot of things, but I think this one was probably closest:

This ended up getting me a value type of "Object HTMLDocument", I just can't figure out how to get the content as a string so that I can put it into the div I want.

I have a page, in which I have an iFrame. I do not want to scroll the page to see the iFrame properly. My point is to scroll the iFrame in that page so it would change it's position (page inside iFrame).
What won't work: putting a window scrollTo into a iFrame page code (simply because this page is not mine, so i.e.: I have my own page and in iFrame I have stackoverflow.com, and I want it to scroll 100px to the right and 500px to the bottom). I just can't stand spending any more time on figuring it out... Is it even possible? As I read it is. No simple answer: how. Just to state one thing: I do have scrollbar x and y, but I want the iframe to scroll to the exact position to show something on that page inside an iframe. I have no access to the page that is in iframe!
I'm trying to make a script that searches the code within an iframe, then drills down to find the first instance of an image within a specific span. But there's an error in IE, and nothing in firefox. I'm not even getting the error alert, so I'm stumped.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the following .submit function, I am attempting to grab the value of the selected option in the facilityCodes dropdown list when I click the submit button and then during the submit function,select the facilityCode again in the dropdown list when the page reloads and then disable the list so that the user cannot change it.However,the situation is when I reload the page after the submit button is clicked the dropdown defaults to the first option and the list is enabled.I apparently am not understanding how.submit works so that I'm selecting the option I'm defining in my code below and then disabling the list AFTER the page reloads due to an error on the page. i guess this isn't really jQuery specific rather than it is a global JS-thing, but I tried general solutions for this and they all did not work so I figured this might be because I'm trying to do this with the $ function.
What I wanna do is this: I have a document with an iFrame. From inside that iFrame I wanna call the $-function of the original (parent) document. I tried so many things like

the stuff above with .document.$
and other stuff but none of that works. So, how do you call $ of the real document from inside an iFrame?
I have an iframe and I load a html page with jquery code.I have 2 checkboxes and I have 2 div in this iframe.
