I´m using some mix of javascript / php / ajax code to open a text
file, process its info and close it.
While skiping through the text file lines, I´d like some of myForm
elements be updated with the info extracted from the file.
This way, the user realice that actually some process is being executed
and forgets about "oh ! this isn´t working, I'll try closing and
opening the app again".

I am trying to use "replace" to remove dollar signs and commas from input values by looping through the elements. I'm pretty sure I have to use an array in an array to do so but can't figure it out. Here's what I have:

almost all of the google results I got for refreshing a div were for updating dropdown boxes or dealt with some kind of page event...so now I'm at a loss on what else to look for..
How to send one input data using ajax, I then needed to send a form with multiple inputs. I believe I can't do this with AJAX so have tried to implement it using JQuery.
The problems I am having is that my page is refreshing when I click on submit and the data is not being sent.
I am more than happy to look at other ways to do this if JQuery is not the answer. All I want is a page that doesn't refresh or redirect but does submit a form.
My form is:
I'm writing php based website that queries a database and writes the html with the results. On the home page, I am querying one database and receiving data to connect to other databases (i.e., database hostname, username, and password). Depending on the link selected, the homepage creates a dynamic form and sends the data via method=post. The next dynamic webpage receives the data via $_POST and connects to a different database for the rest of the website content.
I can successfully select a link on the home page and load the data for the second page the first time, but I have a problem when I hit back on the browser. The browser takes me back to the home page but if I select another link for another database, it does not "post" the new database info and the second page looks the same as the first time it loaded.

After this the table will have all the contents of the array. How do I reinvoke the form to have the updated version of the array shown on the table without refreshing the whole page? The page cannot be refreshed because the data is just in an array and when I do refresh the page the contents of the array gets back to its default. Is it even possible to refresh just a part of a page, in my case a table after a button click or are there other button events I can try to play with?
My programme is to let people play roulette wheel, record their choice of bet, amount of bet, result of bet, number of bets, bet limit. I would like these data being posted to myqsl each time the person bet, without the disruption of page refreshing. I have code as below, but it does not work. I somehow, need to get the values as shown in the handle function for each of Products shown in From.htm. Keep in mind the only thing I know from From.htm is the class names. I have no idea what products are listed or what the input names are. This table is generated by a third party. Assume that index.htm and From.htm are on the same website.

I have two questions...
Question 1 How can I make this piece of script act a little smarter. Look at the order form, I'm catering for up to 4 people and providing lunch for them. If they select 3 people and the spaghetti bol for lunch, it's only adding $10 where it should be adding $30. Obviously this is simple multiplication but since the values in my form are prices it makes it a little tricky. I'm guessing an onselect on the first part of the form which changes the pricing of the other items would be the way to go, but how do I do this?
Question 2 The "Total Price" is placed before the <form> tag by the script. This is ok but it's not where I want it. How can I position this text elsewhere in the document?
I need to pass user input from a form to one database field. I'm relatively new to JS but the idea I had was to have several form elements and use JS to collect the users input and send all the values through a hidden element. What's happening is the variable names are being sent rather than the values. The code below is only passing to the next page. Limitations: I am editing an intranet site built by a 3rd party so a lot of the files we've been given are encrypted. I cannot change the method to post.

I've put together what I think is an illustration of my problem at [URL] Quite simply, I need to be able to access the elements of the form without referring to them by ID as the whole form is intended to be cloned. I intended to do this using parentNode and childNodes[] together with the 'this' keyword. My understanding of 'this' in this context is that it should refer to the HTML element calling the function, i.e. one of the radio button inputs. I have a grid that I'm adding rows to that include form text input boxes using addRowData. I know I can use the "editable:true" for that but I'd rather not at this time. Anyway I have the <div id=list1></div> surrounded by a <form></form>. Also statically I have a couple of text input boxes and a submit button. When I press the submit button the only parameters that show up in the POSTED data are the static ones. Is there a way to get the form elements "registered" with the form? I know I can always use javascript to extract the data and save it via an ajax call, but if there is a way to do it "correctly"

I'm working with a form that has both static and dynamic form elements (add textbox, etc), and while I can access the static elements via request.form, the dynamic elements cannot be accessed. I have the dynamic elements appended within a div that lies within a table.

I'm handling a form submission event. Is there a way to modifiy the value of a text input within the form before the form is finally submitted? I tried setting the value using, 'val()' - it updated the text field but the value sent with the POST was the original value
