Mouse Over Effect, Onclick Select For Alternate Row Colors Table
May 16, 2006
I have this table with alternate row colors. Class gray and class
white. I have javascript that do highlight when mouseover row ... and
onclick to select row and highlight it with another color. Also created
a class called "Selected". You can only select a row at a time.
My problem is, if a row is preselected, when mouseover the selected
row, the selected color is screwed. Until you click on the selected row
once, the behaviour is correct again. Code:
I currently have some simple JS setup but I'd like to alternate between 2 values using "onclick". I have setup a flash clip with a form input buttons for playback control. Here is my form:
However, once this intial stage has passed, and the button is clicked again - the image needs to revert back to the "play" button - so its a cause of having the pause button on show whilst the video plays, if its then clicked, the play button shows as the video is paused.
There are lots of JavaScripts and PHP scripts for making tables with alternating row colors. I'd like to know if there's a way to use JavaScript to give a table alternate row CLASSES.
My ultimate goal is to cut down on the html and gain more control over my table. I have a PHP script that gives me alternate cell colors, with different colors in each of two table columns. But it's just too complex to work with. Code:
I have a master table list containing 30 songs and a "play" button at the bottom of the page.when i click on "play" button it should generate one more table containing 5 random songs from the master table above. each of these rows should be loaded dyanamically after the previous song is played. As the song random song is played in the second list that same song should be highlighted in the first list dynamically. How can i do this using javascript. I have the first part of generating the list of 30 songs.How can i continue from there.
I would like a table to have alternating an alternating color per row. I also want to be able to remove or add a row and preserve every other row has a different color.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>
I need to make the backgrounds on certain rows a different color to get the info to read better. I used the following: <!-- Directory of Staff Row Backgrounds --> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('tr:odd').addClass('odd'); }); </script> But instead of starting over with a new table it seems to just have counted them all so it looks off. Here is the page: [URL].
I read this article: [URL]...I want to Combine this example with the example given in Part 1 to give this table of revenues alternating row colors!
Here are my combining codes: It is quite clear there must be something with them because I can't see the expected result after running. Help me find that mistake.
I'm using a javascript to alternate table rows and it works fine by table id, and on the first loop. This is all inside a conditional, in which the table tag is repeated.
On the second and subsequent loops, the alternating row color fails because there can only be one unique id call to a page. Right?
What's the script that will allow unlimited reiterations of tables with alternating row colors, using class?
Any way to change row colors of table based on content.
For example: <span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">+-----|-----------------------+</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"> <span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">|acess| COSTUMER |</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">|-----------------------------|</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"> <span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">| 1 | joseph |</span> <span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">| 2 | mary | </span><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">| 3 | john | </span><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">| 4 | joseph | </span><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">| 5 | joseph | </span><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">| 6 | guile | </span><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">| 7 | mary | </span><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">| 8 | craig | +-----------------------------+<br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"> </span><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"></span> in this table, the name Joseph and Mary are repeated, so, every "joseph" or "mary" row must have the same color (picked randomly or not). so as every "craig", "guile" or "john" row.
I don't want to use css class names based on the name of the "costumers" because I don't know how many costumers are and how many times they appear or repeat.
I am trying to create a form which when the submit button is selected will open a new window with 1 of 4 URLs based on the the combination of data in 2 select boxes.
1. Want to create grid on images (horizontal)2. To give mouse over effect in particular grid part3. Images should move on mouse movementCan anybody help or share URL for this ?
I am wanting the user to move their mouse over a word and a description should appear. Like this: [URL], move your mouse over copyright symbol, which is down in the right hand corner of the photo. Could someone please tell how to do this? I know this would need JavaScript, but not sure what to search for in a search engine.
I am having a problem of getting mouseover event work on a webpage which is pre-populated by a third party tool twiki. The html code is something like this:
I would want to show a div (the information about the song) when the visitor hover on a cover art on a radio website but this div overlap the cover art with an opacity of 0.7
You can see an example here: [url]
The problem is that when the information div appears, the mouse pointer isn't on the cover art div anymore for the navigator so the information div disappears, and so on... resulting in a flash effect.
The idea is that I've got a bunch of images, and I want one thing to fire when left-clicking them and a different thing when right-clicking. For the purpose of this thread I've replaced the 'things' with alerts.this is the part that gets added to the images (called 'plaatje'):plaatje.onclick = klik;
this is the function that gets executed when clicked. function klik(event) { var fotoID = event.target.id;
Hover effect is painfully slow IE (only IE) and table mouseover causes very high processor usage When you move the mouse over table elements flash animation stutters/pauses (making flash banners impossible)
You can se the page here: fondovi (http://investa.hr/fondovi) (there's a flash animation on the right side of the page (light grey/blue color))
I am trying to create a javascript that will return the coords of where the mouse clicked on an image. I know there are script that will do this sort of thing but they always return the value relative to the whole document (top left of browser screen is 0,0) i would like the coordinates relative to the image (topleft of image is 0,0)
which draw line of the mouse move trace which found on the following website...
I need to customize the code so once on click on specific x1y1 and click on another x2y2 it will create line between them and at final if we double click the mouse it will stop drawing lines between XsYs.
Using onclick=window.open function in js to open a pdf file link in a new popup window. Works fine to display the file onscreen, but not if the user wants to save the file client-side to their computer. The right-hand-button context menu for the mouse will allow the user to download, but the file saved will be a html dump file for the webpage and the name of the file will be that for the webpage. Of course I can use the easy <a href> method for download links and the mouse context menu options will be as expected, but I can only use target="-blank" or target="_self". I need a popup window to open.
Could use : oncontextmenu="alert('Left click the link to open, and then SAVE from with the pdf viewer') to advise users how to save the file, and could use: "javascript: void(0)" To eliminate most mouse context menu options, so the user won't bother try. So how can I get a link to a file which can be viewed in a popup window and downloaded using mouse right-hand context menu?
anyone give me some samples about using mouse to adjust column width of table;and it must can be wrapped conveniently as a java component for our client using; the samples is more easy is better;
What I really want to happen is for a mouse over to change table cell content. I would like to have a list in the left cell, when you mouse over the list items it will change content(image text and maybe formated in a table) in the cell on the right.
If I select some text with mouse in a webpage, how can I know what I selected? For example, if i select this text now and I press B(old) this text is surrounded by [ B ] [ /B ]. How can I achieve this?
