Mar 16, 2010I have a master.html where i have navigationDIV and bodyDIV, and on every click of nav tabs i am loading external html page into bodyDiv using following .load() function. $('#bodyDiv').load('home.html') Now I have some basic JQuery functions in external JS file which i have linked in master pagewhere i am using toggleSlide(), hide(), addClass() so and so forth, first time when page is getting load all these functions are working alright but the moment i am loading another tab page all functions stop working even on first tab also. Tab onClick script from where .load() function is getting fired:

Dec 28, 2010I tried to load 1 html through ajax and javascript and it worked.But i want to load more than one and i cant.I thought that it would be a good idea to put the ajax files to the external websites and put the same load button.I tried this idea but it doesn work.I can only load one external website.

Controlling Frames Containing External Pages?
Apr 7, 2011I have an index.html that sets up 3 Frames. They are called FrameTop, FrameA and FrameB. See pic below. In FrameTop the user can type in a url into a textbox with id="urlINPUT". When user clicks LOADA it loads that url into FrameA. User can then browse web in FrameA, clicking links etc and going to new pages. The second button LOADB is designed to determine the current location/url of the page displayed in FrameA and load that into FrameB. So far when I write the javascript in FrameTop LOADA works but LOADB loads the FrameTop into FrameB! [error!]

Ajax :: Lightbox - Loading Page ?
Mar 4, 2009Recently, I've tried to use FancyBox (a zooming lightbox script - affects every image link of a given parent id) on a page where contents are loaded dynamically with jquery.
I init fancybox at the loading of the needed section - then, I click on the image link, fancybox's darker overlay appears for a sec, but then the target image itself loads (as if no script would be there). As it seems, FB was initalized, but is somehow not working... js debug shows nothing wrong.
Since the whole page is loaded dynamically with jquery, I can't really separate the problem - the script is working good when it's in static context. Before, I used a quite similar script FancyZoom, that worked without problem...

For example if is click link 1 it has to load one.html, if I click link 2 it has to load two.html.
The link will be given in <a> tag itself. Example <a href="one.html">Link1</a> and
<a href="two.html">Link2</a>
I tried to load using the below script but the URL has to be given inside the script. But my requirement is it has to take from the href and load in the DIV id content.

In your description you add the lightbox and the load some content. The content are not in the dom when you add the lightbox so the lightbox don't know what to add it's function onto.

I have Lightbox also on the main page as it needs to serve as a gallery. Now that I have added xfade, the lightbox images do not load; the opening transition just stays blank.
It seems that there is a small piece of css code causing all the problems.

Loading Other .html Pages With OnLoad?

Now, this is great and each pages loads fine, but what happens is that NO javascript code will run. So, the right.html page has a few javascript commands and they do not load, same with left.html. Everything else loads fine though, I don't see what I can be missing.
JQuery :: Including External Pages / Selecting Text Fragments?
Jan 9, 2011I want users to specify external sites, a) include them, and let b) users annotate certain paragraphs of text.
a)
As this sites are external (not on the same domain) I cannot use iframes since I cannot select text then, as I understood, right? So I need to create a proxy page which integrates them in the local domain. If this works, I guess the problem are relative urls - does anyone know a good way to correct these? Furthermore, do I need an iframe, or is there another way?
b)
I would like users to be able to select text paragraphs and add a description. Ideally I would get XPath for the selection. Is there a tool/plugin to do this? Like select some text and get the XPath for it?
JQuery :: Corner Plugin - Loading Pictures With Lightbox
Aug 2, 2010I have a problem on a Wordpress website: I gave certain pictures (as elements of the layout) rounded corners with a jQuery plugin. Some posted pictures I want to load with Lightbox (or similar). I have used several different Lightbox plugins for Wordpress (Lightbox 2, jQuery Lightbox, Simple Lightbox etc. etc.) but none of them work. I got some weird version of GreyBox working but FireFox gives an error every time before opening it so that's real shady code. As you can see on this page is that I include jQuery for the rounded corners at first but then the Lightbox plugin automatically adds it's own version of jQuery and they cancel each other out. I know for a fact this is the problem because I 'lose' the rounded corners as soon as I turn ON the Lightbox plugin. Once that is turned off the nice rounded corners show again. I tried several different plugins, changing the order of the jQuery code around, making both the rounded corners plugin and Lightbox rely on one single jQuery statement. Nothing has worked so far.

external text file. the reason is that i have a very large string and
it is making my script very messy.
also, is it possible to have some dynamic parts of the text from the
text file? for example, if i load in a string and there is a part of
it that inserts a value from a variable like the following:
'The number of people is ' + var_people_num;
....so the text from the external file would load but these parts would
be given the value of a variable contained in the script that calls
the external file. its not absolutely crucial that i obtain this but
it would help me seperate large chunks that complicate the script.

Dec 22, 2009I am looking for either a JavaScript or Coldfusion solution to the following problem. First, there are over 60 million product photos so downloading and resizing the photos using Coldfusion would be very tedious.
I would like the display an image within a 100 x 100 pixel container.
If the height or width of the image is great than 100 pixels, the image should reduce in size to fit within the 100 x 100 pixel container.
I want to avoid pixelation of the images as much as possible.
All images are external and not on the local server so I only have an image URL.
I would like to hide all images until they are resized appropriately.
Does anybody know of a piece of javascript code that can do something similar to this?
Loading Text From An External File?
Feb 27, 2009I'm currently working on a site and need to have a small section that displays 5 or 6 headlines. The same headlines will displayed on various pages and will occassionally be updated.
The site pages are static .html in design and i'd prefer to keep it that way rather than start introducing php for such a minor part of the site.
I am wondering if there is a javascript solution to this, whereby the headlines could be loaded via a .txt / .xml document or something similar?? That way i could just manually update the file and reload it to the server and the headlines would be updated.
I guess i'm think something similar to cushyCMS but that i can implement directly.
