Jquery :: Unable To See SESSION Vars When Calling Subdomain Script?

I'm creating chat with LONG POLLING. To keep main domain ajax requests (send message) untouched (unqueued), I had to put my long-polling script to subdomain.So I've got 2 "domains"
foo.cz
channel.foo.cz
I do not mind about any Same Origin Policy right now as I put
header("Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *");
at top of that script. I also do use
ini_set('session.cookie_domain', '.foo.cz');
in all scripts (sending, receiving, chatting room).
For debugging, i've got this in my channel.foo.cz/getNews.php:
print_r($_SESSION);
print_r($_COOKIE);
die();
My problem is:
I do load chatting room Ajax (jquery) requests channel.foo.cz/getNews.php getNews.php returns this:
array()array()
It look that cookies and session isn't setted up. But! If I look into my FF cookie browser, I do see that domain for these cookies set in chatRoom is .foo.cz If I try to copy ajax request uri and paste it into browser url, it returns me
array([username] => martin)array([SESSID] => some1D65a4s6d54asd)

have a problem when using get or post from subdomain.I have a file included in header: functions.js. in this file a have a function similar to: function popup(thevar,json){$.get([URL]...{thevar:thevar,json:json},function(data){alert(data);});} It works fine, but when i try to use this function from subdomain.domain.com it fails with no error. Is there a way to resolve this so that i can call the function from any subomain?

In jQuery 1.4.4 I could load a JSON file from subdomain2.website.com to subdomain1.website.com without any problems. When I upgraded to jQuery 1.5 this didn't work anymore.
Is this a jQuery bug

I have a modal popup that is housing an iframe of a page on a different subdomain. There is script in the iframe page that needs to access a property on the parent page (on a different subdomain).I thought the permissions issue would be apparent when the domains are different, NOT the subdomains. The two sites are [url]... and [url].....

I'm trying to serve static content from a cookieless subdomain s.mydomain.org.uk, so that image/css requests from pages at [URL] don't get sent with needless cookie data. The trouble is that Google Analytics insists on adding its cookies (_utma, _utmz) to those requests anyway!
My code is:

I have problem with closing the Iframe of main domain window and this window is opened from the subdomain.
For eg: I have www.example.com , which has a page sendto.aspx and I open it in Iframe from subdomain sps.example.com.
This Iframe is not closing if I say self.close(), window.close(), window.parent.close() and nothing works for me.
I also checked that the current domain is example.com when I try to alert with document.domain.

i have this code:

When "offString" is alerted its fine - eg {top: 123, left: 342}BUT it doesn't seem to like it, but when the alerted output is added into current.css() inplace of offString, the element is positioned as it should be.

I'm using ajax to get multiple vars from a database and would like to show the vars in different parts of my page but everything is shown all in the same spot with the div.
An example is I'm pulling a home number and an email from a database and want to show them in different spots.
I have it working but I have to make a seperate ajax(), url, for each var which I don't think is very efficient!
[URL] you can test the search out by typing 000-000-0000 into phone or bank into the name field and tabbing through both input fields.

I'm trying to create a querystring in my aspx page. I need to pass in 2 variables as parameters. The end goal is something like this:
Popup.aspx?paramOne={0}¶mTwo={1}
I have a function that needs this string.

That doesn't work. It doesn't recognise paramOne and paramTwo with that syntax, so i tried to use the DDL.SelectedValue directly and that doesn't work either as it doesn't find a value for some reason. I can manually set up the string as follows: queryString = "MyPopup.aspx?paramOne=" + paramOne + "¶mTwo=" + paramTwo);
which works but is not good coding practice as I don't want to hard code stuff.
What is the correct notation to do this?

I am not sure if this is possible, but I want to create a multiple vars dynamically, for instance, these are the vars I create manually,
Code JavaScript:
var left_1 = $('.column-global.left .item-global').eq(0);
var left_2 = $('.column-global.left .item-global').eq(1);
var left_3 = $('.column-global.left .item-global').eq(2);
but the problem is I only need two or one vars above sometimes. but three is the max.
so I am thinking of passing a parameter into the function to tell the code to create either 2 or 3 vars,

I have a form button with id="submit". When pressed, ClickGeocode(credentials) is called. This works fine and dandy with: $('submit").click(ClickGeocode) Despite there being no indication that the function takes an argument 'credentials'. So when I want to call the function at some point in my code, I should be able to do something like ClickGeocode(credentials) ... no? However, my issue is that credentials isn't once defined in my code - it is part of Bing Maps function... like so:
function ClickGeocode(credentials)
{
map.getCredentials(MakeGeocodeRequest);
}
So why does it work using .click(), and how can I call the function without user interaction (simply somewhere in my code) even if 'credentials' is not defined?

In my project i am using ajax and jquery. After going to a page via ajax without page reload i want to see the same page if the user refresh the browser. I used the cookie plugin inorder to solve. As it is not safe i am trying to do the same using session. I have dowloaded the jquery session plugin and initialized the session variable using the below satements.
var SESSION_URL = $.session("current_url",Url);
var SESSION_DATASTRING = $.session("dataString",dataString);
and i am getting the session value in the same jquery $(function) where it is initialised, through alert($.session("current_url");
But i am not getting this session value in an another jquery event like
window.load(function(){
});
How can i get the initialized session value in an another event.

I am trying to reference a session variable inside some JQuery code. Theseexamples below arewhat I am using currently just to try and see if I can get something to display and nothing shows up.[code]Just to make sure an alert works, I threw in a alert("hi"); which works fine. I am trying to use jQuery AJAX. What my requirement is, i wish to load user names from DB in dataset, convert it to JSON format and store it in memory or using jQuery data for use while a user is browsing my site, i.e for a session. This way I can use autocomplete or my own code to display data to user.

I have application A and application B deployed in two different app servers.B is launched in a new browser window when user clicks on a link in A .So application B starts as a popup.the problem I am facing is if I logout in B, automatically A also logouts and vice versa.this may be happening becasue of session merge, when new window is called there any way in java script or jquery to open a new browser window without passing the session information ?

I can successfully change the background image using the following:

But, what I want to do is change this ONCE per user session. So instead of change this on every refresh / page load I want to load it once, store that setting in a cookie/session, and not do it again until the next session.

I have a little problem with saving a single checkbox state (check or uncheckd) for a session with jQuery.
I did find similar problems and solutions but i couldn't apply the help or solutions to my situation. So i give it a little try here..
Good to know is that I'm new to jQuery.
What i would like to achieve
I have one single checkbox that, when checked, will unhide some div's. When you uncheck the checkbox the div's will hide again. This is sort of an "Option". This works fine with the piece of jQuery code i have now.
The problem is that when a user checks the checkbox and then loads another page (/page2) the checkbox is unchecked again. I would like to store the checkbox state for a session. So users don't have to check the checkbox again, and again after browsing to the next page (if they wish to use this option).[code]...

I have a php page (target_market.php), with a form that has 34 checkboxes. I would like the be able to click the boxes and have JS post the 'checked' value to a php session varibale when a button is clicked. If the user navigates away from the page and returns, the pages needs to reload the checkbox session variables.
How do I post the 'checked' value as either YES or NO using JS to another page (target_session.php), so that i can add them to database at a later stage?, but also retrieve the session variables and update the check boxes should the user come back to the target_market.php page?

I have a two fold question:1) Why would my while statement not be workingI have cleaned up my code a little (although not perfect) but my while statement is not behaving, it does not output any numbers on a console.debug (using google chrome, or any other browser for that matter) which from my understanding it should?and 2) Slightly out of the remit of this forum I suppose, but this code is quite lengthy and I know there are ways to make this more efficient I just dont know what they are?
