So at the time i had implemented an ie hack using a conditional ie css file that used ie expressions. This turned out to perform too slowly for my likely, and didn't offer the control i needed to properly hide the bar in ie if javascript was disabled.what i am looking for is a javascript solution to the bottom bar.

Mar 10, 2009I have just started using jquery and am impressed so far.I am using jeditable to edit values in place, and submitting the values to a coldfusion page to update the values in the database.All this works fine.I am having a problem with the new (just submitted and updated) value being shown in the page.What would be the best way to achieve this? A request to the db to get the new value or just outputting the value that was just submitted?A sample of my code is below.

Aug 22, 2011I want to be able to click in at table row, then it'll make the whole row editable, each cell from that row will have a text field; it will allow me to edit an entire row at once.I installed jEditable and it's working. I can edit ONE cell at a time. I just don't know how to edit an entire row at once.

JQuery :: Lightbox Or PrettyPhoto Or Fancybox Break When Submitting Content With JEditable Plugin?
Sep 25, 2009i have a site that uses a lightbox based image viewer and the jeditable plugin. basically my site has a photo gallery and below each gallery i have the option to set a caption to the photo.
i have done the caption using jeditable and i've also tried using the ajaxForm plugin for jquery to see if jeditable caused the problem. but whichever method i use, approximately 20% of the time a photo caption is submitted, if you then click on the photo to view full size using lightbox (so far i've used fancyBox, prettyPhoto and Lightbox itself, and all break in the same way) it gets stuck at "loading", whereby the overlay appears, the inital empty box and animated gif appear, but then it just spins forever and never loads the image, as if it cant access the URL. weirder still, the FIRST time i do a page refresh to try and fix the problem, it doesnt work (something in the cache i expect), but if i do a second refresh or a shift + refresh, it resets and works again. it's very difficult to eliminate all variables because the problem is so sporadic, but it seems that the most likely way of breaking lightbox is to do the following:

JEditable Works Great With DB - Get It To Update Non-db Values Properly?
Jul 13, 2010Each instance of what I need edited also has an id on the page for referenceSo things like <p id='titleonebox' class='editable'>Title that can be edited</p> If I'm updating the DB I have it all figured out because I'm updating X where X is X.However on the index page itself I have 'headers' that I want editable for each div(The divs are populated via the DB and they edit fine)I've tried using save.php from jquery's jEditable documentation but it won't save the value when I refresh the page.

Mar 7, 2011This code attempts to have a blue box appear when red senses the mouse hovering. I can get the blue box to be visible, but when the mouse leaves to hover over the blue box, it disappears! Not good. How do I make it stay?
I want to put a form in the blue box, but at this test, the blue box disappears when the mouse leaves the red bar. I put in code to keep the blue box visible on mouse over, but it conflicts whit the second "red.hide" function, animating open and closed. I've tried to put an "if statement" in the second "red.hide" function, but results were inconclusive.
How do I keep the blue box open?

The user should be able to browse one of my blog entries and click, drag and drop an image from my entry to a fixed bottom bar on that page.The problem we are facing is that when dragging an image, it wont place it on the bottom bar until the whole page is scrolled down to the bottom of the page. The animation has a z-index lower than the div containing Questions, Customizable, and Library, but the div disappears during animation. Is there anything I can do about this? I've tried changing the positioning, z-index, and moving the div to occur before the animation, but nothing seems to work. Everything looks fine in FF, IE8, and Safari.

Iframe Disappearing / Why Is So?

Jun 7, 2010In IE7 only, I have an issue with disappearing elements/styling. First, my h3 header disappears. The space that it occupies is partially there, but not text is visible, nor is the background or the bottom-border assigned to it. In addition, other divs below the h3 are missing their bottom-border. However, spans nested inside of divs missing their bottom border show the border. Lastly all but one the activity divs is missing its background and the one that does show it, the 4th one, only shows it below the "date" span. Here is the HTML:

Disappearing List Bug / Fix It?
Mar 24, 2009Firstly I am using Scriptaculous to implement the sortable list but have looked there and not been able to find any reason for this to be occurring.
I have a list of sortable items, there are 2 droppables enabled with
the list, 1 to delete it and the other to place a "linked" item in
another sortable list utilising a relational database.
This all works fine except for this bug:
When I add an item to the second list it goes there no problem and I
can sort that list, but as soon as i try to do anything with the first
list all the items in the list disappear. If I manually refresh the
page then they all appear again as normal.
Im using AJAX with my site as well and have a separate method and php
call to insert from 1 list to another.
Im not sure where I this bug might be, there is a lot of relevant code
so I figured id ask before posting it incase someone can assist where
the error might be or perhaps a bit more specific in terms of which
code I need to post.

Jul 23, 2011I have a html form that is submitted with a submit button code...
if I display the output using the alert methods(now commented out) they work fine. I was hoping to display my messages in the div with id of output.
When that didn't work I tried to see if I could send anything to the div.
When I click the submit button the message "WTF" appears for at most half a second. I'm hoping to get it to stick around. I'm sure it has something to do with how form submission works. Maybe I need to submit to the same page? can I do that with JS?

my form disappears from the HTML markup (below). To summarize:
1) In a <script> block in the <head> I create a form element (part of
object/feature/bug detection).
2) There's a <form> element defined in the <body>, with the id 'theForm'.
3) The onload function tries to access that form, and also counts the
total number of forms in the document. It fails to get a reference
