I am using the youtube chromeless player and embeding videos with loadVideoById() method problem is that videos with an id that contains an underscore or dash dont play although they play in the normal player. I also tried replacing with a hex value in querystring i.e (%5f) but that did not work I also tried loadVideoByUrl() method with several urls but still they don't load. here is my code
function switchToPlayer(ytid){ var params = { allowScriptAccess: "always"}; var atts = { id: ytid,onmouseover: "this.playVideo()",onmouseout: "this.pauseVideo()"}; swfobject.embedSWF("http://www.youtube.com/apiplayer?border=0&enablejsapi=1&playerapiid="+ytid, 'cell'+ytid, "150", "120", "8", "scripts/expressInstall.swf",null,params,atts); } [Code]....
what is the best way to play videos in an html page?? i need to play videos in my site... what is the fastest way to play videos in a normal speed (not slowly)
I'm having issues with jquery and the tabs I'm using. My tabs work but... I want some more functions and that seems to be a big problem for a Javascript and jquery newby.
I really don't know if this is correct but it works! What doesn't work is the active class. If you use one of the buttons in the first tab you go to the right tab but the tab itself has no class called active and that ruins the style.
2) I also have one other question: lets say that all the above is my second page and I have my frontpage in which I also have buttons. I want somebody to use the button and end up in the third tab of page 2. My link is something like
Code: page2.html#tab3
I read that using this should lead you the third tab but it's not working for me. You go to the first tab of page 2 instead.
I've been reading a LOT! Jquery for dummies, I googled, read the forum and other forums. I posted on a Dutch forum but no answer. I've added a lot of different code but it doesn't work.
I have a web site that contains jquery tabs and one tab consists of a sortable jquery. Although the sortable works induviduallay it doesnt work when it is put into the tabs.
I've been searching everywhere for an answer, tried everything I know and for the life of me I cannot seem to be able to submit a form inside a jQuery UI tab. I have a bunch of files that are loaded with AJAX inside the tabs and I would really need to pass form data in them ...
I'm working on IE7. I've create two bullet point items (fred and john) inside a jquery tab but neither are appearing as bullet points. Here is my code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head><title>Odyssey Application</title>
if it's possible to nest tabs inside a scrollable from jQuery Tools. Basically, replacing the page content with a set of tabs. I've tried a few times, and with the jQuery native tabs, there must either be some JS or CSS conflicts that prevent things from working properly.
Here's a print screen: [URL] so you can see that for some reason all of that text is showing up at the same time. Do I need to hide the other divs first? I even tried that with adding $('#Tabs div0').hide(); // Hide all divs but it did not help. I would assume out of the box, it would hide the rest of the divs for me and only show the default first.
I am using jquery checkbox dropdown list control URL...inside a tab plugin, and it is not working for me. Dropdown does not appear on click although code does process the items. If i put the dropdown list outside the tab on the same page it works fine.
1. Make ajax request (via getHTTPObject(), no libraries is used)
2. Create an iframe with script, src is "blank.html".
3. use iframe.document.write() to execute scripts (inkluding document.write based scripts) in the iframe.
4. call parent window's document to clone the iframe content.
5. Append the content clone to parent body.
Works like a charm in all browsers but IE, where every version - including IE9 beta - hangs on iframeWindow.document.close() with empty cache, leaving the window/tab unresponsible. When I force quit, restart and load the page again (now in cache) it works. What I've tried already:
* Googled.
* called the ajax request callback manually with string instead of request.responseText - it works even with empty cache here.Removed document.close() - resulting in scripts in iframe not executing at all (again, only with empty cache, cached pages works fine).
* Tested to make the ajax request synchronous - no difference.
Console.log trace:
Code: append() begin unlimited-scroll.js:160 install() begin unlimited-scroll.js:194 iframe begin[code].....
I have a set of flash files called inside iframe. I need to put a play/ stop button into the parent html to control the flash. I tried using document.getElementById[iframename](playerId) but the JavaScript is not recognizing the flash object.
I am using strobe media playback. Is there any way I can communicate to flash object using javascript?
I want to play a repetitive sound, and have a user click on a button each time it plays (say 5-10 times) and measure how far off he is from the sound each time.
The only way I know to play a sound in JS is bgsound, and I know how to loop and pause, so as to do the 1st part. I haven't figured out how to then test the delay in response. Since some of the responses may also be *before* the sound plays by some milliseconds, that also compicates it.
My real question is, can this even be done in JS, or should I be in PHP, ASP, or do you have another suggestion. I'm thinking it needs to run client-side so there are no network delays, and the results would be reasonably accurate on different machines. I could easily write it in VB but I don't want them to have to download anything. I'd just like it to run from the page.
I basically want this timer to count down from 6min 10sec and at certain times (i.e. every minute that it counts down) play an audio file.I got the timer working fine, but getting it to play the audio files (wav files) at specific times is not working...this is the javascript for the timer which works
code: var sec = 10; // set the seconds var min = 06; // set the minutes[code].....
Have a light box script I built and it works fine in IE, FF, Opera but in both Google Chrome and Safari the image doesn't load if you try to fire it again. In easier terms, if you click on the image that fires the event and shows the 'super sized' image in the light box it works fine the first time. If you then close the lightbox and click on the image again the lightbox shows up but there is no image. I even added some alerts to see what was happening and in IE, FF & Opera both the alerts fire all the time, in Safari and Chrome they both fire the first time but the second time only the 1st alert fires.
I have the checkbox validation. I have it set onClick, this works perfectly with both the mouse click and also if the space bar is used to select the option, which is great. However if a user simply 'tabs' over the option it doesn't validate real time. The solution I came up with was adding a onKeyDown event to trigger the same function.
I'm a developer located in Venezuela (latin america), and i have like 2 years using Jquery in every project that came to my hands. I have created a modal dialog inside a tab with a simple form that has a datepicker:
i have an iframe inside a page(main). In that iframe, i am calling a java script function that is in the main page. This function call is working in Mozilla , IE but not in Safari and google chrome?? Is there any specific reason for that? when i add the function in the iframe it works.
I have nested tabs in jquery tabs which are pretty simple to do if we want static jquery tabsbut what if we want nested tabs that the remote page should decide what would be the tabs.or in other words i want nested tabs in a remote page (or ajaxified) For example i m calling this page(remote page) through tabs
I am using jQuery tabs and when I have very long content within the tabs, my browsers scroll bar reflects the content in the tab with the most content.
Example, "Tab 1" & "Tab 3" has a very long scroll bar, even though it has no content (because of Tab 2) and you can scroll down through the empty space
[URL]
Is there a way I can hide the content in Tab 2 so that my browsers scroll bar displays correctly in relation to the content in the active tab?
I am having an issue with flash that are being called using javascript not playing .
Here is an example of one of the pages: [url]
This page is referencing a file called terry.js
For some reason the flash banners we use work just fine: [url]
Its only the videos that aren't working. We are referencing the videos the same way we reference the banners with the exception of the their class names.
The weird thing is that these videos were working just fine last week but now they simply do not display.
I've been trying to add embedded youtube videos to the carousel but so far without success. The videos are all over the screen, even when I wrap them in div. Has anyone ever done this and could help me?
I will have a group of 20 items and the user will be able to select up to three of them. After clicking a compare button, it would load a video for each item and play them back one right after another, seamlessly with no transition.
Is this possible using JQuery? Would a plugin be needed?
