I'm working on IE7. I've create two bullet point items (fred and john) inside a jquery tab but neither are appearing as bullet points. Here is my code:

I'm having issues with jquery and the tabs I'm using. My tabs work but... I want some more functions and that seems to be a big problem for a Javascript and jquery newby.
I really don't know if this is correct but it works! What doesn't work is the active class. If you use one of the buttons in the first tab you go to the right tab but the tab itself has no class called active and that ruins the style.
2) I also have one other question: lets say that all the above is my second page and I have my frontpage in which I also have buttons. I want somebody to use the button and end up in the third tab of page 2. My link is something like
Code: page2.html#tab3
I read that using this should lead you the third tab but it's not working for me. You go to the first tab of page 2 instead.
I've been reading a LOT! Jquery for dummies, I googled, read the forum and other forums. I posted on a Dutch forum but no answer. I've added a lot of different code but it doesn't work.
I've been searching everywhere for an answer, tried everything I know and for the life of me I cannot seem to be able to submit a form inside a jQuery UI tab. I have a bunch of files that are loaded with AJAX inside the tabs and I would really need to pass form data in them ...
if it's possible to nest tabs inside a scrollable from jQuery Tools. Basically, replacing the page content with a set of tabs. I've tried a few times, and with the jQuery native tabs, there must either be some JS or CSS conflicts that prevent things from working properly.
I am using jquery checkbox dropdown list control URL...inside a tab plugin, and it is not working for me. Dropdown does not appear on click although code does process the items. If i put the dropdown list outside the tab on the same page it works fine.
Videos inside tabs play at the same time in IE but works fine in Mozila Firefox : I'm using Simple Tabs with CSS & jQuery but I am having issue with I.E., Chrome I've videos in 3 different tabs, but in I.E & Chrome all tabs starting playing when pages loads but in Mozila Firefox it starts playing when u click on tab. I want each tab to starts works when someone click on it (starts fresh).

I know that it involves css, but I'm not sure which functions to use. I'm trying to have somesort of triangle, with its tip pointing right, but when slide down, it points down. How do you do that with css and jquery?
I am trying to get an accordian script to work within tabs, here is the code I just can't get it to work, I realise the issue of the inactive tab displaying none which causes problems, I have tried a few work arounds but still not working [code]...
full sample script which demonstrates the problem, inner tabs company/department come up as list instead of tabs.I have already tried what People have suggested that inner tabs should also be tabified via jquery but it doesn't work all the examples I have seen e.g.URL... use topmost div for jquery tabs call.[code]
I must preface this question by admitting that I have very limited coding knowledge.I'm hoping the answer is obvious to someone who is proficient with jquery but not myself.
When i override the ajax method with $.ajaxSetup and set the type:'post', then consecutive calls to fetch data from the server, by Ajax Tabs (url), the tab stays Loading... forever. Firebug shows that a POST request was made and it completed successfully, however, the Tab stays Loading... forever. If i set it back to type:'get', the Tabs work fine. is it a bug, restriction? if it's a restriction, then why? workarounds?
I have a web site that contains jquery tabs and one tab consists of a sortable jquery. Although the sortable works induviduallay it doesnt work when it is put into the tabs.
I've added the most basic implementation of JQuery tabs. It's working fine so long as there's not a url-friendly query string. In other words, if I load index.php, it will work fine. Even index.php/anystring doesn't have any problems. However, if I try to load something such index.php/anystring1/anystring2, none of the CSS styles for the tabs appear to be applied to the tabs list making all the tabs' contents appear on the same page.how I can work around this to ensure I can preserve the current format of query string without breaking the tabs? Using the old fashioned way doesn't appear to result in any problems, but I'm trying to avoid having to revert to that format.
I want to make a pop-out list that shows multiple items where only one of those items has a bullet next to it. The best way to described what I want to do in HTML is by example: In Firefox you can click View | Character Encoding | Auto-Detect That brings up a side list of several items. Only one of those items has a solid dot next to it that shows it is the selected item. You can click to change which item has the bullet next to it. I want to know how do the same thing with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
I've made attempts at doing this using either div or li for the items. I think my problem is in the CSS for those items. I use Javascript to change which single item on the list has a class attribute for the item that gets the bullet. The item that gets the bullet gets a class called itemselected and the other items all get a class called itemnotselected. You can see the CSS for those below. Note that some of the properties are commented out. That's because I've tried variations to see if I can get it working right. My problems are with:
- getting the dot onto the left of the text description of a single item, - align the dot vertically with the text description, - get all other row text descriptions aligned the same vertically. - Getting the dot within the colored background box that has the text description from within the a tag.
I'm using an "a" tag within an "li" (or within "div" on some variations I've tried) in order to get the onclick. That part of it works. My Javascript executes and changes which elements have which classes assigned to them. I then see changes in the displayed list that indicate I've changed which row has class="itemselected". My problem is in layout appearances. I'm testing with IE 7, latest Firefox, Seamonkey, Safari. All have similar problems but IE is worse than the others.
I have nested tabs in jquery tabs which are pretty simple to do if we want static jquery tabsbut what if we want nested tabs that the remote page should decide what would be the tabs.or in other words i want nested tabs in a remote page (or ajaxified) For example i m calling this page(remote page) through tabs
I am using jQuery tabs and when I have very long content within the tabs, my browsers scroll bar reflects the content in the tab with the most content.
Example, "Tab 1" & "Tab 3" has a very long scroll bar, even though it has no content (because of Tab 2) and you can scroll down through the empty space
[URL]
Is there a way I can hide the content in Tab 2 so that my browsers scroll bar displays correctly in relation to the content in the active tab?
I'm trying to build a data navigation utility that will allow a central "map" page to control a number of tab pages that are loading individual pages from a large set of HTML. All are local file://localhost/, with localhost popups enabled. (for dev/testing all popups are enabled since firebug 1.3.3 has problems loading localhost .js code) preference to "raise and lower windows" has been enabled I am using firefox 3.0.8 on FreeBSD 6.4
Anyway, I can't get window.focus() and blur() to work between cooperating tab/windows who know each other's names.
Here following are two cooperating mirror tab pages that i'm trying to get working. Have tried a number of combinations of the focus() and blur() calls. Have tried with/without messaging. Messaging works fine.
I have noticed that the calling tab seems to unload/reload as a result of the click event. This still allows the message to get through OK, but I guess the reload could be taking the focus again.
An annoying alert() dialog could of course get focus to the message receiver, but it requires another click to get it out of the way.
The concept of these focus() and blur() calls is so simple, and I've searched all over the web for examples, but nothing seems applicable.
Have also seen that this may be a bug in Firefox.
======== code for "mirror" pages "focus1" and "focus2" follows:
I cant link out of link inside rotating tabs. The rotation is working fine. I have no problem with it. Bellow is the index.html page with <script type="text/javascript" src="tabcontent.js"></script> wich ofcourse has the JScript that is making it work. You will see another small Jscript on the index.html page that I've been using to try to make the links work, but to no avail.
[Code]...
I hope this makes sense. If anyone wants to see the entire code let me know. Right now I just got the rotator working. I just need to make the links work. I will post it for everyone to use as soon as I get it working.getting the links going.
I'm having trouble figuring out why content isn't showing up on the 2nd and 3rd tabs of a tabbed content section embedded on a page. The content shows fine for the first tab but not at all for 2 and 3.
Page of tabbed content is [URL].. It's an OsCommerce site using STS Templates for the pages. Here's the code:
Is it possible to have an input that points to some other function? For example: function someFunction() { alert('It worked.'); }function doAnotherFunction(doIt, otherFunction) { if (doIt == true) { otherFunction(); }} <input type="button" value="test" onClick="doAnotherFunction(true, someFunction());"> Or would I need a switch statement and have all the various functions hardcoded?
I am not a developer so not so familiar with javascript. Suppose I have a map with ten junctions and based on that map. I need to calculate all the possible routes between one junction to another. How do I represent the map in javascript and how do I code the function to calculate all the possible routes?
