Jquery :: Div Shadows And Background Gradient With It?
Jul 16, 2011
Let me know where I can find a demo or example of JQuery Plugin which let's to create a Div with shadows(Inner and Drop shadows) and plugin to add gradient to Div background color?
I'm trying to fade in a <li> background when you hover over it. The background is a gradient and not an image. Right now when you hover over it, the background shows up but it's too fast. I'd like to have a gradual fade in and out on hover.
I'm just trying to use a JavaScript form element handler to apply a CSS gradient background dynamically. It doesn't work in IE, but does in the other browsers I've tried.
Here's my function
function swapGradButton() { g1 = document.getElementById('ButtonGrad1Color'); g2 = document.getElementById('ButtonGrad2Color');
I'm looking for a jQuery plugin or pair of plugins that will apply both a rounded corner and a drop shadow to a DIV box without the use of corner/border images. I've actually found quite a few that do one or the other but they seem to be pretty outdated, not in itself a problem but mostly for lack of support. So far, the few that I've found will do rounded corners and a few will do drop shadows. Sometimes they fail to work with each other and sometimes they only work in FF or Safari and fail in IE. I'm coming up short on the magic combination.
This failure in IE kinda defeats the whole purpose of doing this with jQuery since I can already get FF and Safari do to both with only CSS3. Does anyone know of a great jQuery plugin or pair of plugins known to work in all browsers including the latest couple/few versions of IE?
I'm using the goMap Google Maps plugin very successfully (and I highly recommend it) - except that I can't seem to set shadows on my map markers. There appears to be support for this in the plugin source code - but there's no documentation I can find.
Anyone got an clues on how to do this? This is a simplified version of the code I'm trying to use. I have checked the obvious/stupid things - file path is correct (the image isn't 404ing in firebug), and there's no js errors being thrown, or any other warnings reported.
Im working on my own little javascript engine at the moment.
One of the functions i would like to add to it is a fadeToBackground function. In essence, it would detect the element that is calling it and find out the background colour for that element. From there it would take a hex colour that it is given and then fade to the background colour.
To do this i need to generate an array of inbetween colours. Ie, i need something like #000000, #0000EE, #0000FF etc etc.
Does anyone know of an algorithm to calculate the colours in between two given hex values?
I want to be able to dynamically generate the colours so it is a drop in function for down teh track where you just give it a colour to fade from and it does the rest.
I want a generator to take a two colors, just say 000000 and FFFFFF. Then I want to find 8 colors in between. In the end, it will be 10 different colors. I then want to place the 10 colors in 10 different variables. color1, color2, color3, etc. Im then going to put those 10 colors into 10 different boxes in a table, but i can do that myself
I have DIV section with a CSS class that defines a gradient. However, when the user clicks a button, I want to dynamically change the two colors of gradient via Javascript. What is the DOM structure to change the colors in this field similar to this command: document.getElementById('content1').style.color = p_color;
I have this menu table that has a gradient effect and flips to a different color when mouse is over a cell of the table. It is working great for google chrome, the problem is it is not working for Internet Explorer, but it should work for internet explorer, firefox, chrome,and so on.. The code I got it from is: [URL]. The first cell should be black and grey then when I put move over it should change to grey baby blue.
HTML Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "[URL]"> <html xmlns="[URL]"><head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> </head><body><style type="text/css">
#coolmenu{ border: 1px #9CF; width: 140px; background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#ccc), to(#000)); background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #ccc, #000); filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#cccccc', endColorstr='#000000'); background: #999; /* for non-css3 browsers */ .....
I am trying to change my sites background color. The color changes but it doesn't go back to the first image anymore. does anybody know what the problem could be?
I'm putting together a portfolio site and I'd like to use high-res images that take up most of the screen to show different works. There would be a menu bar with links to each work, where a click on that work's link would change the background by doing a standard "dissolve" effect.I have seen many different plugins for "rotating" images and changing background colors at the click of a button. Is there a method specifically for this purpose? As an alternative to altering the background-image of the body itself,I would be willing to use a properly sized div (or div's) to achieve this effect.
I need to have three text boxes, user will enter a number in each box.Then i have four buttons, add, subtract, divide and multiply.When i click on each button, the numbers in the first two text boxes should match the answer in the third text box.ex. (first box has a 4, second box has a 4, and the third box has an 8. if i click the add button, i should get a "correct" answer in the div below with a green background and if i hit the multiply button the div should say "wrong" with a red background.
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>[code].....
What is the best way to get the background image url in css? i have found this in crossfade plugin but does not work in opera.. var target = $$.css('backgroundImage').replace(/^url|[()]/g, '');
I'm wondering if it's possible to add a specific amount of color to an already existing color. I'm using php to set a background color to add div; $background = 'background-color: rgb(' . $job['color'] . ')'; But now I want to make the background color a little lighter when the user hovers it, just changing the opacity of the entire div is not possible.
So I was thinking, if my value is like this: r: 100 g: 200 b: 240 Is it then possible to add a specific amount of red to it?
I was wondering if its possible (or prefferably if anyone has heard of a plugin that does this) to use jquery to slideshow a repeated image across the width of a webpage. IE to take a 50x50 background image that is repeat-x and have the looped image look like its scrolling from left to right at variable speeds?
I am after a jquery (or other?) solution that mimicks this: [URL] Notice how the background moves slightly based on cursor movement? I think I have seen it done somewhere using libraries before, not sure where though.
Is there a way to get jQuery to download a js file in the background without parsing it? I have a CMS with a login form, which may take the user 3-5 seconds to fill in the data. I am thinking that if I can pre-load my js scripts which are used after the login page, then this will make things quicker after they login. Can this, and should this, be done?
I have 3 thumbs, and when I click on one of the thumb, the background of my site has to fade to the same image as the thumb. This code is working for me, but it is fading to white first, and after it fades to the new background.
function changeback(backname){ var newsrc = "<?=SITE_WEBDIR?>img/bg/"+backname; $('#backimg').fadeOut(300, function(){ $(this).attr('src',newsrc).bind('onreadystatechange load', function(){
[Code].....
I want to let the background fade to the new background directy, and not a white background first.
I couldn't find an exact example or of a way to do this. I've been struggling on this for hours. All I'm trying to do is fade in those divs after a certain time has passed (like 5secs after the page loads)
I have preloaded the images i want to use into an array and want to cycle thruindefinitely each image in the array, and use the each function on the array. The array isvar imgs = [];
I have a div such as this
<div id="mydiv"></div> & with current styling such as this - #mydiv{ background-image: url(myimg.jpg);
[Code]....
only the last image shows up... I am going around the bend ( turning green, red, and face rgb (255,255,255)
