View 1 RepliesI have a simple product display with an product image. The product image changes with ajax when i click in a dropdown menu on another color.
Now i added the (beautiful) zoom script cloud zoom. It just works fine but after i click on another color and the product image reloads the script does not work anymore. instead my <a> is just a normal <a>.
This is the part that reloads at all:
How can i reload the function when this part reloads? Or what else could i do?
I'm having an issue with the difference in behavior between the IE and FF back buttons. I'm using jQuery to create collapsable div regions which contain text boxes on a search form. After submit, if the use clicks the back button in FF, the region(s) the user had previously expanded, show as expanded. Also, there search term is still present. In IE, when clicking the back button, all regions are collapsed, in there original loaded state, but the search term is still saved.

When clicking the back button in FF, nothing happens. For IE, the alert pops up. This tells me that IE reloads the page (but somehow still saves some things, like the search text).
My question is, is there a way to keep IE from reloading when the use clicks 'back'? I will be creating my own 'edit' back button for users to get around this, but I also would like to prevent this from confusing users and causing undesired results.
I need some script to force the browser to reload/refresh when a page is reached from the back button.
EG You're on page A -> You click a link onto page B -> You Press Browser back to go onto Page A, it has old content that requires a reload.
Now, my page is currently php so I won't bother with my code here as I am looking for any solution (I have also posted in php forum).
Any JS solution that will trigger a reload on browser back is appreciated. I have tried a few ideas, most work in Chrome, IE always works, Firefox 4 and Opera 11 wont reload, simply fetching from cache I believe.
I am generating a report on submit click.Due to size of data query execution takes some time to display result, in mean time if user press reload button on browser toolbar consequently same query request going to database and the performance become slow down. I am able to restrict user from clicking F5 and ctrl+R button but not reload button. I there any way to handle event on reload button? or can we disable reload button on submit?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to be able to click on a checkbox (or a radio button) and have it reload the page, but also keep the item selected. The code I currently have reloads the page but does not check the checkbox or select the radio button. The code is:
<form name="myform" method="post" action="thispage.htm">
<input type="checkbox" name="checkbox" value="checkbox" onClick="javascript:window.location.reload()">

I am trying to trigger an event once the user clicks the browsers back/forward buttons, I have built a system just like facebook where if the user has javascript turned on they get the full feature of the site which includes fast switching for example if someone goes to this page "example.com/index.php" and click a link to contact.php it would change the url to "example.com/index.php#!/contact.php" but what I need to know is if there is any way to change the pages content when the user goes back and forth through the fast switch pages? something like "history.back !== -1" or something like that.

I am trying to use the onclose function on phatfusions multibox in order to refresh the parent window when the multibox is closed. The problem I have is that as soon as I load the page it gets stuck in a loop. The code I am using is as follows
Code:
var box = {};
window.addEvent('domready', function(){
box = new MultiBox('ab', {descClassName: 'multiBoxDesc',onClose:location.reload(true),useOverlay: true});
});
Is there a difference between right clicking an iframe and reloading post reponse vs. using javascript to reload the frame? So far, the javascript route hasn't worked for me. [some context] I am writing a little bookmarklet to help me with the online registrations at my school. Here is the setup.
Load up a page on the domain. Remove all body elements. Insert an iframe. Set iframe to page for class roster search. (in iframe on school search page) Select class search options, POST the form data, and view results in frame. *This works perfectly, but I need to have it refresh results every minute or so. When I use frame.contentDocument.location.reload(true); the frame loses the post data or something and the page is broken. BUT when I just right click on the frame and select "reload frame" it works perfectly. What is the difference between rightclicking the frame and refreshing it like that vs. using javascript to reload the frame?
I'm using a .click event handler to add new classes to 9 list items. It does this perfectly, but once it's been clicked it reloads the page and everything resets!Here's the jQuery:
$("#diamond").click( function() {
$("#storage ul li#1").addClass("box1-diamond");
$("#storage ul li#2").addClass("box2-diamond");

I am having an issue with using an overlay on a google map. The overlay works fine initially, but if I choose a different map type (example: Satellite) I lose the overlay. Is there a way to listen for a map type control click? Or a way to detect when the map type changes? I want to call a function to reload the overlay when the map type changes.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been looking at this for ages, so apologies in advance if I have become so bleary eyed I can't see something simple.I use php to create buttons based on values pulled for a table. The problem I have is when you click on the first button the javascript function works great, when you click on the next button you get the same output even though it should be different results. I am working in ff and I can see on my firebug console that the javascript function is being called, but it is not passing the new value of the second or third button, it just keeps repassing the value of the first button. So not entirely sure where I am going wrong here.My page is:
<script type="text/javascript">
function loadXMLDoc2(File,ID,Msg){
if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {[code].....
And getShow.php produces a table with a list of product images, names and prices, based on theme.
Is there a more concise way to do something like the the
desired code below?
The gripe is with the try-catch syntax. It takes *way* too
many lines of code to evaluate a conditional expression
when zero or more parts of the conditional expression may
trigger an error. In this case, the trigger is a call to
a non-defined (null) object.
In other words, how can you do a more simple 'try' statement
that simply spits out true or false, depending on whether
the 'tried' code threw an error or not?
Defining a function don't seem to work because you
can't pass the 'try' code as an argument. Extending the
'Global' constructor is not an option, so now what? Code:
Supposing I have the object reference to an object,how do I retrieve the xpath of a element.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for reminders on how to ...
1. Get all links in a page.
2. Apply an onclick event handler,
3. that cancels the usual link click event
4. and puts the link address into a form element code...
What's behind the question is a screen scraper test I'm doing, whereby I call a website address via a form, and clicking on any page link should put the target address into the form and then submit it. I think I'm on the right tracks - it's just cancelling the original click event I'm not sure about.
There is two lines from my script:
<script language="javascript1.2">
fso = new ActiveXObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject");
ws = new ActiveXObject("WScript.Network");
</script>
Everything working fine, but sometimes some admin change default IE options and during loading the page on screen i can see something like that "Can I run the activex and bla bla bla". This message for my user equal error and I get many phones, Can I catch insufficient permision, or that message and hide it?
$(".mainmenu-topcontainer > ul > li:not(:has('.stateselected'))").hover(function(e){ (...)
I tried it with and without quotes. Do I miss anything? That selector matches all Li elements.
How can you catch the keycode on the body tag?
This is what I have so far:[URL]
I wirte a simple sample to alert 'here' when catch submit event. The code as below. When I press submit button , it works fine. But when I press b3 button , it will call a function to submit the form. The form submit is ok , but it will not alert 'here'.
<title>ttttt</title>
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-1.3.2.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.blockUI.v2.5.js"></script>

the image is like <img style="filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader (src='aa.png')" ... > $('img').css('filter') will get progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src='aa.png') Can I get the aa.png directly?

If you try some codes and then catch exception, it should catch the exception when there is. However, if there is a setInterval method in the try clause, then the exception cannot be caughtthe following works ( a usual method is invoked in the try clause):
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
function invoke()
{ var i=0;

What I want is for jQuery to do something when the page has loaded depending on the anchor in the URL.
For example:
domain.com/index.html#dothis
domain.com/index.html#dothat
domain.com/index.html#dosomethingelse
Do these come under the onLoad event or something else?
I have a cfform with the following (partial) structure:
Code:
I'm written a simple script that sees if the user has entered a start date in the StartDate field, and automatically populates the EndDate field with that value:
Code:
This script works just fine when entering values directly into the input field. However, it does NOT work when using the Calendar popup that ColdFusion helpfully adds when using date validation. When you click on the calendar icon to the right of the input field, a calendar popup appears; once you click on a date, the date is entered into the field. Unfortunately, JavaScript does not recognize that anything has happened.
This is problematic because the date popup is the easiest way to enter a valid date, and the one that I automatically use, and which I assume that other users will gravitate to as well.
how would I go about capturing the page anchor in the address bar without the onload function and without page refresh?
