I am trying to do some JavaScript calculation with checkboxes, and have been able to modify some codes to do bits of what i want to do. (Screenshot attached) However, i want each checkbox to have multiple values, and therefore multiple results.
I can't find any examples, but i've come across something similar with Radio buttons [URL].. I don't 'get' the example enough to proceed. My question is, is it even possible to do with a checkbox, and if so how do i go about doing it please?
The Javascript code:
function count() { var item1price = 10; var item2price = 50; var item3price = 1100; var item4price = 100;
I am trying out checkbox total calculator code examples, which automatically calculates the values of checked/unchecked items, and so far so good. My question is if it's at all possible for each checkbox to have multiple values, so i can have different sets of totals? I have been looking for examples all over with no luck. I have seen examples for Radio buttons, which separates the different totals with commas, but i don't have enough JavaScript experience to understand it fully.
How can I gather all values from the form (select, input (text, checkbox....), textarea... ) using jquery and send them by post. The number of items is not fixed, I need something that will gather everything that form contains.
I was wondering if it was possible to submit a form by just clicking a checkbox and once it's submitted a cookie can be created from the value of the check box or through onclick().
I have a list of products where they have minimum quantities in a hidden input. Some products have multiple colours, though the same minimum quantity and I'm trying to implement a jQuery check that entries made are at least equal to the minimum.
Blank or '0' entries are fine but if it's below the minimum quantity it should set to the minimum.
HTML:
Is there something obviously wrong with this? It isn't performing the minimum check and I'm really not sure why.
I am setting up a form which will ask the user for several questions after which they will then be saved to a database. It all works well with exception of one thing. I am trying the following and can't get it to work.
What I want to do is to to have multiple checkboxes, each of them activating the same textarea and then add information to the textarea. For activating the textarea I am using the following code:
This works, however, how do I add information to the textarea when each of the checkboxes is checked? I tried obj_textarea.value='VALUE' but this will only allow one checkbox to display its value into the textarea. Code:
I have an error when I POST to a page. Whatever monetary choice of donation that is made, the POST does not work to send the values to the next page and the default value of $20.00 is registered.
After looking at my code for a day I dont see the errorL
Here is the code

I have a date picker with a textbox input for 'from' and 'to' the page loads with default values which display in the textboxes.What I want to do is: when the page loads, these values are sent to my SQL server, the server checks for entries that are within the range, then reports back on the page the results.Subsequent changes to either from or to dates should result in a similar call to the server for validation. no submit button, just change date = changed output.I figure the best way to do this is with AJAX. So I have a date picker, but how do I send the results to a PHP file to do what it will with them? And once the php file is done with them, how do I put the results back on my HTML page?Now for some code:
In <head> <!-------------------------------------> <!-- DATEPICKER CONFIGURATION -->[code]....
So that's all the code that makes my Range Select date picker. My question is very similar to http:[url]....with-ajax-and-jquery-datepicker except that I probably lack even more knowledge than that OP - I need a step-by-step baby solution to how this all works.Where in my code does the $.ajax() function go? How do I handle two dates, not just one? How do I get the output on screen? Finally, in my PHP script, would this at least provide me output?
I want to send three text box values to server using jquery ajax. problem is that, i dont know the exact syntax to send three data. When i try sending one data(also change no.of parameters to one at server side method), its going good but when i try to send three text box values, its giving jquery error:"Internal server error". I think I am not sending data in correct way. Example below contains only two sending data, because i was trying to send 2 data first.
Below is the code:
function testCAll() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "dbTest1.aspx/SendMessage",
function read() { var numbers = new Array(); for (i = 0; i < field.length; i++) numbers[i] = document.test.checkboxName.value; var counter=0;
[Code]...
I want to read the values of the checkboxs and store the vlaues into an array (there are more than 1 checkboxs) the form name is text and the names of the check box = checkboxname
I have a bunch of checkboxes like below that the user can check some or all and click the button and see the values of all the selected checkboxes. How can I do that?
Code: <script> function alertValues(){ } </script> <input type="checkbox" class ="normal2" value="131971" name="list[]" >
I have a form with checkboxes. I am trying to put the selected items into an array and then just simply go to the next page (an AJAX page within the same HTML doc using jquery mobile). I dont want the form to submit the values in the URL. using "return false" seemed to be working before but now it isnt!?:
HTML Code: <form name="form1" onsubmit="validateDrink(); return false"> <input type="checkbox" name ="drinks1" value="beer" id="beer"/>
I have a form which contains a few drop down lists.The contents of the dropdown lists are dependent on each other and are populated via php scripts which are called each time a selection is made or changed by the user.When the view results button is clicked in the form I need the user to be directed to a specific page based on the selections they have made.The url of the page they need to be directed to is really based on what has been chosen in the first dropdown.
The subsequent dropdowns form variables that I need to be sent to the page so that the data the user sees on that page is relevant.ie if the user has chosen bikes then a specific manufacturer then a specific price range the page they will be sent to will be the bike.php page with all the manufacturer specific bikes in their chosen price range visible. Can anyone tell me the best way to go about doing this please?I had thought about using the php header script along with an if statement but how do I then go about getting the variables sent to the page to be recognised?
i am inserting values using AJAX.for single record its working fine. but i want to use five text boxes for the same function and for each text box i am calling same function.but now value are not passing properly..whetever passing first time only that value is going into database twice or how many times i have entered the values .so i want my function should work dynamically.with each add button should take value for that text box only.
here is my code
Code JavaScript: // Optional: Show a waiting message in the layer with ID login_response document.getElementById('insert_response').innerHTML = "Adding..." // Required: verify that all fileds is not empty. Use encodeURI() to solve some issues about character encoding.

I have two drop down menus that each have different things in them. I choose both of them. When I submit "x" in one menu and "y" in another I want it to work so that the url will be [url]
I am programatically trying to send multiple emails from within javascript code. The problem I am having is as follows: - In one try - I am using window.location="mailto:"+emailList - this works great if it only needs to generate 1 email, but I am doing it in a loop. when it loops through the 2nd time, it does not create a 2nd email - In a 2nd try - I am using window.open("mailto:"+emailList - this does open multiple emails, but it also opens multiple windows. I am trying to find a way to either not have the windows open (only the multiple emails) or automatically close the extra windows. I am including my code below - note - the window.location try is listed, but commented out.
if (emailListArray.length > jsNumEmails) { var j=1; for (var i=0; i<emailListArray.length; i++) { partialEmailList = partialEmailList + ";" + emailListArray[i]; if (j == jsNumEmails) { //window.location="mailto:"+partialEmailList; window.open("mailto:"+partialEmailList, "temp", "height=5, width=5, top=0, left=0"); j = 0; partialEmailList = ""; } //if j++; }//for } // if anything left in the partial list, then send that separately if (partialEmailList != "") { //window.location="mailto:"+partialEmailList; window.open("mailto:"+partialEmailList, "temp", "height=5, width=5, top=0, left=0"); }
how I can use Jquery to append and remove data into a table by checking and unchecking html checkboxes?(Or any plugin for this?) I would like to generate an online order invoice from the following checkboxes:
< fieldset > <
[Code].....
I find these two example on the net but (The first example looks too similar to what I would like to do but with a table) but Icouldn'tfigure out how to modify them? [URL]
I have some jQuery code to add and remove a class to toggle an image. It works for one but now I want it to work if I add other checkboxes. Currently all the checkboxes change the 1st div. I would like to make it toggle it's respective div.

I can't seem to get this working correctly. I have several radio buttons and checkboxes. Based on them being checked I need to add that value to an input (which will be hidden) to be passed as a form parameter. The input they are added to is wrapped in xml tags. Currently it is simply overwriting each value, not adding them to the string. One value "IKNTK" needs to be passed regardless.
