I am setting up a form which will ask the user for several questions after which they will then be saved to a database. It all works well with exception of one thing. I am trying the following and can't get it to work.
What I want to do is to to have multiple checkboxes, each of them activating the same textarea and then add information to the textarea. For activating the textarea I am using the following code:
This works, however, how do I add information to the textarea when each of the checkboxes is checked? I tried obj_textarea.value='VALUE' but this will only allow one checkbox to display its value into the textarea. Code:
how to send text to a textarea when clicking on a link. Kinda like when clicking on a smiley or bbcode. I have a script, and it works, but only when the text to insert is on one line. Here is the code:
<script> function sendtext(e, text) { e.value += text }
I was wondering if it was possible to submit a form by just clicking a checkbox and once it's submitted a cookie can be created from the value of the check box or through onclick().
I have a checkbox and when the it's checked I want to increase the row of the textarea
for(i=0; i < chkBoxes.length; i++) { chkBoxes[i].onclick=function() { document.getElementById('addnote').rows =4; // this only increase the textarea of the first row. If I have more than row , it won't work }
I think I have what is a simple question: I would like a checkbox to be checked if it is not already when a user types in the text area beside it. Form layout is demo'd below.
<table> <tr> <td><input type="checkbox" name="box[1]" value = "x"></td> <td><textarea name="area[1]">
I'm trying to recreate a behaviour which enables a disabled checkbox after the user has completely scrolled down to the bottom of a textarea ("agree to license terms"). My current state can be found at http:[url]....The checkbox is not being enabled with my approach. I can enable the checkbox if I explicitly set scrollTop to a value, but then I'm not able to scroll anymore at all. So I am guessing it probably has to do with the scroll check not working properly.
I have a HTML form containing two text box controls in it and a submit button. When a user enters information in those two textboxes and click on submit, the information is sent to a function in Javascript. In the javascript, the information from those textboxes is stored in a javascript variable. The problem is as follows:When I am inputting string text in the html text boxes and in the javascript when I am trying to print those values, it is giving me out an error saying NaN. However when i input integer values in the text boxes it is printing those numbers. Is there a conversion that I have to do for the string to be printed. I am new to Javascript and need your help. This is a basic code of Javascript. Below is the code that I have.
<html> <script type = "text/javascript"> function square(form)
How would i change back to the default length of textarea?
I have this comment area that after clicking submit i will append the new comment in the list of comments through ajax... i got one problem though, everything is working perfectly well except for the textarea that won't change back to it's default size...

The problem is that the textareawon't change back to it's default size // let's say that the default size is rows=3
If it is possible, how to reflect popup checkbox changes on same checkbox in parent window. Main windows contains a list of thumbnails, each one with a checkbox. Clicking on a thumb, a popup window is opened containing a bigger photo beside a checkbox. If the user checks/uncheks it I want the thumbnail checkbox in parent window to be changed in the same way (and onclick tasks to be performed). To achieve this I am using cookies and onClick -> parent.reload.
My JSP web page has many checkboxes. What is web page source code look like when clicking one checkbox will submit only one checkbox value (not the whole form) immediately? i.e. toggling one checkbox will send the info that only that checkbox is toggled. This does not work because clicking one checkbox will send the whole page

Before i submit my problem just to let you know i've been using jquery and javascripting for about a month or 2 now so i appologise in advance if this is something stupid. My main issue is that i want this to select from a database so i found out that you can get information from php files i just couldn't figure out how to get the variables it submits. I then found out that i can use xml to get the information to the script. but the code i have written doesn't seem to display anything. The code in red is what i think the issue is.
Our project is to optimize gcc's instruction scheduling. It requires us to specify architecture information
(basically number of cycles per instruction, stall and branch delays) to gcc, to optimize structural hazard detection.
Problem: Is there any specific format in which we can specify this information to gcc? Is it possible to embed this additional architecture specific detail, in .md files?[code]...
I would like to put a welcome message on one of my sites... something like "welcome username!" with the username being the login name that that person used to login to their computers.
Is it possible to gather this information using client-side js? if not, how can i accomplish this without having each person enter their name upon entering the page?
I am currently in the process of writing an interactive calendar in jscript. It's my first major project so bear with me please, I'm quite new :P.
I was hoping to add a section of code to the calendar which would allow me to display events happening on a certain date and add new ones etc.
However I was not sure how best to store the information as I know javascript is not 'designed' to access files. I was wondering maybe a cookie or learning how to use SQL? Or is there something that I haven't come accross yet?
