JQuery :: Use Json To Build A Nested List?

I realize this is probably one of the most common uses of JSON, but I'm hitting my js knowledge limit. I want to output a two-level <ul> using a json structure.How should I structure the json and then how to output it?Desired output:
<ul>
<li>Topic 1
<ul>

The scenario is : I have to fire an ajax request, get the json values and populate the page using jQuery template.
I'm able to fire the ajax request and in the success function I'm getting the data also. But I'm not sure how do I proceed with the Nested JSON data that I have received. I am passing it to the .tmpl() function but nothing seems to be working.
Here is the json data that I receive :
{
"activity": {
"date": [
{
[Code]....
It also gives me an error sometimes that says "c.tmpl is not a function" which is linked to the jquery.tmpl.min.js .

I am really stumped on how to use jquery to code this. I looked at a lot of different slider plugins for jquery and I easySlider1.7 uses lists for the sliding effect so that is what I want to use. But I am having problems with creating the nested list slider. It's really hard to explain what I want so I created this.
Here is my list that I want to use for my navigation idea.

I have a nested lists which contain city names, and then level 2 is businesses in that city. those are hidden by default so that when you click on the city name the businesses will slideToggle down. What would be the correct script to enable this.I have the effect working, but when I click on any of my top level anchors all of the nested items toggle. I want each city's businesses to act independently from each other.
see example below
<ul id="cityList">
<li><i>Albuquerque</i>
<ul class="city">
<li><a class="parkTitle" href="#">American RV Park</a>
[code]....
Here is the script i currently have
$('ul.city li a.parkTitle').click(function(event){
event.preventDefault();
$('.parkInfo').slideToggle();
});
example when I click on "american rv park" the div "parkInfo" directly below that first link would toggle

I'm recently reading through 'jQuery Fundamentals', and had a few questions about JSON.
I have the following JSON:
I wanted to , so I did:
Where weather corresponds to the JSON, and $ul, the unordered list element.
This works fine, however I'm unsure if this is the correct way of accessing that specific value in the JSON, as well as adding it to my page.
Does this mean that when manipulating a large piece of JSON, with many nested levels, you'll have to use many $.each's inside of $.each's?

I am having a few issues with a client who requires me to code their menu in JavaScript.
Here is the HTML:
Code:
<ul id="navigation">
<li class="firstElement"><a href="#">User</a>
<ul>
<li><a href="#">Manage my profile</a></li>
[Code]....
Basically i need the menu to be collapsed to the first level initially. So only the User, Admin and Company User links are visible.
When these 1st level menu items are clicked the 2nd level sub menus need to be displayed when navigated to the 1st level index page and so on for the third level menus.
I need to be able to remember the location as well so the menu stays open on the correct page.
The annoying thing is that if i was allowed to do this in Coldfusion this would only take me a little while but i don't know much JavaScript therefore am a bit stuck. I am not allowed to use libraries either such as JQuery, MooTools
Another challenge is to style the 'active' link locations.
When you are at the first level the class of the anchor needs to be selected_bg.
When in a sub of said first level the class of that selected anchor needs to be selected_bg and the first level needs to change to selected.
For the third level both the above stays the same but then the third level takes the class of selectorThird when active.

I am using the Collapsible Checkbox Tree jquery Plugin.For that I have inserted this linein the javascrypt code:
When I make a list in the HTML code using the <ul id="example"> works perfectly.
But when I tried to make the list dynamically calling a JSON file, does not works fine.
If I insert theready(fn) mentioned above inside the javascrypt function that create dynamically the element<ul >as is shown next:
Improves a little bit, but still does not work fine. Specifically does not show the plus and minus sign, then I can not open or collapse it.
I tried also with thecheckboxtree pluginand I encountered the same problem.

I have a html file that I want to load, loop through the json data and for each json entry I want to add a new block of the html and insert the json data into the matching div/class of the html. json looks like this:
{"Super" : [{"Name" : "John Doe", "Age" : "30"}, {"Name" : "Jane Doe", "Age" : "40"}]};
html looks like this:
<div class="Name"></div><div class="Age"></div>
So for each json entry of name/age, I want to insert that into the html, and then add another row, until all json data has been fetched. After this I want to insert all of this into #box, which is just a divthat should contain that html. Looping like this obviously does not work, since I just keep replacing the same html through the loop.
var jsonData = {"Super" : [{"Name" : "John Doe", "Age" : "30"}, {"Name" : "Jane Doe", "Age" : "40"}]};
$.each(json.Super, function() {
$('#box .Name').html(this.Name);
$('#box .Age).html(this.Age);
});

I have an idea for a website I'm about to design and develop and would like some help before voicing this to the client.
The site will be quite sober, technology and science portfolio of a company.So, most of it is just text.
There would be a portfolio menu page, with a few categories (science / technology / web )
Now, instead of having a drop down menu..
I thought it might be a nice idea to have a pie graphIMAGE(well maybe a bit nicer looking)where each color represents the category. Based on the number of projects belonging in that category, the graph would change to show that. is this possible with jquery?

I am working with jQuery and TYPO3 to build ceHTML, this means for a portal for TV. In the ceHTML specification, they just support DOM 2. My question is if jQuery use in some way DOM 3. I know that at the time not every Browser support it, but some thing they do I am asking this, because we have not find an test environment for the project, but I already starded the programming. This means, I can test it in a browser which just support ceHTML.
