woundering if it could be possible to strip out a backslash / from <img>-tag ? I have that code rendered:

I just want my regular expression to match a backslash. Thats all. Tried giving [\]. Aint working. Tried[x5c] not working. But this hexadecimal character match is working for all the other characters.

It checks that the character before the comment isn't a backslash or that we're at the start of a string/line since it's in multi-line mode. Then it captures the actual comment. Seems to work so far... I have the following RegEx that matches double slash comments:

It works fine except for this one exceptional case where a RegEx which ends in a slash is followed by a comment as in the following example:

The RegEx captures "//gm // Slash Comment" as a comment, removes that piece, and in the process breaks what used to be a valid RegEx statement. how I might be able to fix the pattern to avoid this issue?
I have something relatively simple here, but cant seem to work out the right syntax. Ive created a variable, and I put some html text into the variable, The thing is, Im limiting the html text to 130 characters or so some of the text will have a <p> tag at the start but no </p> at the end of the text im grabbing.[code]

I would like to strip HTML out of a string I have in a JSON item I have. I'm using Yahoo! Pipes to aggregate several blog-feeds and put them in together in one big feed, I then use jQuery to parse that JSON and place it onto my page. My issue is though that what's being parsed onto my page is the raw html code within the JSON item. I want any HTML related tags out of the item, so I just see text.

I'm trying to write a RegEx function that will remove all HTML tags AND the content in between.
I'm finding a lot of functions that will strip out JUST the tags (leaving the in between content), or will remove tags and content for specific tags only (or will allow only specified tags, removing all else.) But I can't quite seem to write a mask that will take out ALL HTML tags and their content.

I have this code that displays a thumbnail strip and then when you mouse over a thumbnail a bigger images shows up over the strip. The problem is it only is working on some of them and only when the mouse is over a certain part of the picture. When I click them however the picture shows up everytime. I've been attempting to use 1.4.1 but I'm finding that $.get() and .getJSON() callbacks fail. The XHR requests succeed. I can examine the full request in both Chrome and Firebug. However, the callback functions *don't* execute. To test, I tried the same url with both 1.4.1, 1.3.2, and via a raw XMLHttpRequest(). Sorry but I can't get the very first tutorial to work. I put the custom.js in a test_jr directory in htdocs. I also put the starterkit.html file in the same directory.
