$('#nav li a').click(function(e) {

$('#nav li a').removeClass('on');

I need to do this, in addition to .click-binding, automatically; i.e., if no user-action by 15 secs I need this content-switching to start happening automatically; and also give 5 secs or so for the next div to show up (and hide div currently visible); how do I do this? like a slideshow, in other words, but switching divs (and doing the classes for the thumbnails)
ust started learning jQuery I'm trying to switch content of two DOM elements (I hope i've got the terminology correct there) but i'm struggling I can clone 'test_container_2''s content to ' test_container_1' but I would really like to switch the content '1' to '2' and '2' to '1' in one movement if possible, or if I can somehaow capture the content in a variable and then apply the variable to the other content of the container that would be fantastic.[code]
I use jquery to realize Tabs. As well, everything works fine.But here is my Problem If i try to open Tab_1 with an link on Content_4 nothing happens... Here is my Code:
and dropdown menu in each page to switch between india and usa pages.
india.html page sells in INR and usa.html in USD with links to shopping carts for each currency.
link1(INR) link2(USD)
Except the link and the currency information(selling price), contents in both the pages are same.
So here comes the problem. Google hates duplicate pages!
I am looking for a solution where, a single page In That Page, a dropdown menu to select currency As the currency is selected, without page reload, the link to shopping cart and the pricing also should be changed according to the selected currency. So Single page should be able to handle both the currencies.
I am using HTML/Javascipt/CSS to maintain a page whereby the content of the page is switched when a user selects a link. An example of the code used is below for your better understanding:
The container in which all of the content is loaded:
I need the page to detect which "sub" is being displayed and change the style of that particular link so the user can see which is the active link.
For instance - When the page loads, by default, all subs are hidden except sub1 which is today's content - So when the page loads, I want the "Today" link to be styled differently to the rest... However, if they then go on to click "Tomorrow" - as well as changing the content like it already does, I need it to also switch the style of the link from the "Today" link to the "Tomorrow" link.
I have a banner that has image navigation on the lower right. The navigation links are images which, when clicked, change the banner without reloading the page. The actual switching of the banner is working when each image is clicked.
However, my problem is this:
The page itself is long and must be vertically-scrolled to see the entire content. Because of the scrolling, the banner could appear anywhere vertically on the page. And whenever I click the banner navigation hrefs, the page "jumps" so that the banner is at the top. The page should really stay in the fixed position.
I'm not sure how to set it up so that no matter where the banner section is on the scrolled page, that the page stays in the same position when the navigation is clicked.
My href's in that navigation are set up as :
Do I need something in my script so that the page won't jump? Or am I missing something in the HTML?
I have some links on my page with ajax calls, and the callback animates the links. My problem is, if I quickly click on two of them, the first one will begin to animate (ajax will complete successfully), and then when I click on the second one, the first one will stop animating, and only the second one will finish.
// document.ready /* behavior for add to cart button */ $('a.item-addCart').live('click', function() { addToCart($(this)); } ); function addToCart(button){ /* parse data from button clicked, corresponding quantity box, and hidden price field */ $item_id = button.attr('id').split('-')[2]; $item_qty = $('input#item-addCartQuantity-'+$item_id).val(); $item_price = $('input#item-addCartPrice-'+$item_id).val(); /* set loading notification */ $('div#item-addCartActions-'+$item_id).html('<img src="/images/ajax-loader.gif" />'); /* AJAX */ $('div#item-addCartActions-'+$item_id).load( 'shopping_cart/add', {item_id: $item_id, item_qty: $item_qty, item_price: $item_price}, function(responseText){ /* show response text */ $('div#item-addCartActions-'+$item_id).html(responseText); /* pause on response text for 2 seconds */ $('div#item-addCartActions-'+$item_id).animate({opacity: 1.0}, 2000, function(){ /* fade out response text */ $('div#item-addCartActions-'+$item_id).animate({opacity: 0}, 'slow', function(){ /* show link to shopping cart */ $('div#item-addCartActions-'+$item_id).html('<a href="shopping_cart">Item in cart</a>').css('opacity', 1); })});});}
I want to set textbox timeout. If not complete insert data to textbox in 5 sec, textbox will empty. If complete insert data to textbox ( insert 15 charectors ), it will use data in textbox to other function. How did I do?
Now, I am having one problem with the .ajax() function. My problem is, the timeout value seems to be completely ignored. [code]...
The idea is that when the underlying hardware is restarted (this is a control page for a device), we should time out very quickly, rather than locking the browser. I have stepped though with a debugger, and the 250ms value is definitely being inserted when the reboot command is issued. Any idea why this is not working?
Have cycle plugin implemented and it is functioning correctly except for the page quickly flashes the third slide before the rotation starts up.
I was able to assign opacity: 0 in the CSS for webkit and Firefox browsers that hides all three <LI>'s before it starts and that works. However, IE (even with filter: alpha(opacity=0);) won't take.
I tried using the cssBefore option but it throws an error when I try to put thefilter: alpha(opacity=0), into it.
Heres' the current code:
jQuery('.video-gallery').each(function() { var holder = jQuery(this), list = jQuery('.video-holder > ul', this), switcher = jQuery('.items > ul', this),
How can I make the script below "stop responding" when it's already animating?I want the script below to animate ONCE and STOP animating (even if mouse is still on element #s2) until I take mouse off it and hover again. This is what I'm using:
How can I find all elements that have a attribute starting with some character?

something like $(img[$f]) ... trying to find all img with attribute ending with g
How to loop alternate elements in JQuery ? I see it has each function which loops each elements . But I want every alternate elments to loop starting from an index.is it possible in JQuery ?
Is there any way to tell the cycle-plugin to wait with the next slide when the previous one is still animating?When i use the default animation with a next and prev button and I click quickly on the next button the slides start flicker.
I've searched the whole internet, but couldn't find anything regarding this.
I have what I think is a simple $.ajax() call.I added complete and error functions but a time out in firefox 3.5.2 doesn't cause the error function to be called and when the complete function is called both parameters are undefined.If I make the ajax call return a http 500 response the error function is called.[code]Running on FF 3.5.2, JQuery 1.6.2 on XP Pro.
I'm developing a jquery web application. On start the user gets a login screen to sign in (verification and session checking is done by php). After login the user gets the application screen where most of the server communication is done by ajax (json). If there was no ajax communication for a long time (timeout), the server (php) sends a session timout (something like error=timeout) and wants the user to sign in again. Now comes the tricky part:I want to show a window where the user enters the login information. Now the application should send these information to the login.php and after acknowledgment, the last ajax request should be sent again.Is there a possibility to send an ajax request again with same settings?
Cycle will handle variable timeouts, and it will handle nested slideshows, but I can't find any code for variable timeouts within nested slideshows. I've tried cobbling together a fix, but it didn't work (don't ask me to explain...it's embarrassing).
how to mate the script for variable timeouts with the code for nested slideshows?
I'm using the uploadify jQuery plugin from here: [url] & am having some problems.
Everything is working correctly but the uploadifyUpload() function doesn't appear to be triggering. It is not accessing the add_list.php script whatsoever.
Here is my code from my header..
Code:
It correctly shows an alert box with "Correct" so I know it's getting in there to run it, but it just isn't running.
Shouldn't need to see this, but here is the errorCheck() function if interested..
Code:
Lastly this is the HTML code that calls it.. stripped out a lot of uneeded code for clarity.
I've noticed this weird behaviour of jQuery in Safari and Chrome (didn't test on Firefox as I'm using some webkit CSS extensions). After setting up the call like this:
If a timeout occurs (I switch the local webserver off), the 'success' method will be called! More than this in the textStatus parameter there is a string with "success" !!! The error handler doesn't even get called.... (As you may notice the only way I had to tell the problem, was to check the data param if it is null or 0 length. How can I avoid this?
