Change SPAN Visibility With SELECT OPTION?
Jan 1, 2010I know this will have been covered but search isn't working for me at the moment. Easy one for people who know JS anyway, I'm sure: I have a SELECT box that precedes a text input, however, when a particular option is selected (the value of which is "BETWEEN") I need a hidden SPAN to become visible. It is hidden as default with "visibility:hidden;" so I need to just change it to "visibility:visible;" if memory serves. Anyway, likewise, if it is already visible, I need it to be both hidden and have the input in that span have an empty value. Any tips? I need to apply this to many rows in a table, so a function that I can call with the span and input IDs would be best I reckon.

However, I'm trying to find a way like this: I have two text links on my page: Select All, and Select None. How can I get those links to call a jquery function to select all or select no checkboxes in my form? As a little food for thought:

May 11, 2010I have this script who will set a text to an existing or newly created <span>. When I executed the script, I can see ths <span> element to the source but the text never appear. That's nice, but how do I post that value so I can use it in (like the other form elements) in my form. I rather get it in a textbox. But how do I do that?Below you can see the peace of code that works out the value into a span element. How do I change this so it will be a form (TXT) element.As you noticed I am a Javascript/jQuery beginner.

JQuery :: Buttonset() Span Not Working Properly With IE7?
Jul 19, 2011I'm using the lastest version of jquery and I themed a list of checkbox with it. Im IE7 every time a user clicks on the buttonset span(which is pretty much the whole button as far as the users are concerned) the page gets scrolled up about 600pixels up.
This is really not a good thing, especially since those radios are located pretty far down a page with a scrolling bar, can you image the users who want to select 60 options? Having to scroll back down every time? How do I stop this infernal Jquery behavior? I literally use nothing else but this to these my radios:

May 13, 2009I need to append multiple spans to the line items in an unordered list. Essentially, each line item contains a <span> and I need to grab the content of that span and append it to the bottom of the line item it's contained in. Here's what I have so far: My jquery code:

JQuery :: Converting Span Into Textfield On Mouse Hover
Sep 13, 2010I created an html page and wrote javascript which uses jquery's hover() method. It converts a textfield into a span when mouse leaves the textfield and converts the span back to textfield when mouse enters the span. Also,I created a button, which when clicked executes a function that takes the val() of element with id='title' and shows it in an alert. I encountered two problems:
1. This works fine as long as the text field contains default text. But if I leave the textfield blank by default, the hover method can't detect the span and will not convert it to textfield. Is there some way I can create the textfield blank and yet make hover() work?
2. After I place mouse over the span and enters some value in the textfield, I move the mouse cursor onto the button and clicks it. At this moment, the span has a an id='title' and so $("#title").val() should get the entered text.
However ,the alert shows empty string of length=0. I tried this ,without moving the mouse cursor out of textfield and clicked the button using TAB-Enter.This time the alert shows the correct entered text. Why is this happening? Shouldn't the $("#title") be able to get the span element with id=title and .val() retrieve its text?
