I have a project involving a multipage form with a text resizing function. I'd like to be able to keep the size the user selects as persistent throughout the multipage form (on other pages).
I tried creating a hidden input form and passing the value through it, but for some reason, it didn't work (it's a proprietary templating tool they're using). Am I missing something, or is there some easier way of going about this?
Just in case you're wondering, here's the code. It works beautifully, if only I could keep the font size. function ResizeText(resize)
Multicolumn text flowing through multipage sliding, should calculate total column, gap, text size, image size for different browser. To be control with Previous Page & Next Page. At the ending of story the next Page sliding should stop. How to implement with CSS, javascript, jsscript, if any...
I am trying to create a multipage form that will validate at each step and stop the user from moving forward if an error is detected. I am able to have it step like a multipage form with javascript and validate each page but it will not stop at the page that has error. The goal is to stop the user from moving forward if the validation detected error on that page. I am using phatfusion.com's validation code for this.
Im using dreamweaver and I am wondering if there is a way or some sort of code I can stop the user from resizing text with the cntrl + mouse wheel ? Ive got CSS style sheets attached to my site but dont know what to do next?
Code:a href=index.php?cat=$row[name] onClick=java script: content.location.href = 'disp_cat.php?cat=$row[name]'$row[name]/aIs this possible? As you can see, I am trying to send a variable to index.php (main Page) and disp_cat.php (iframe) in one click. $row[name] gets it's value from a database.
My problem is with the javascript. What do I need to do in order to pass a variable to an iframe with Javascript? What I have written above doesn't work...
I have a form in my website that I want to hide at page load. But after the page load, there remains empty space. The form is inside the table. So, I tried resizing table with following code. But its not working.
<script type="text/javascript"> function HideForm() { document.getElementById('emf-form').style.visibility='hidden'; document.getElementById('page2').style.height='200px'; } </script>
A UI built using HTML and CSS has limited screen space. One of the elements is a div tag (<div id="mtext">) that will contain text of variable length. If the text is > 500 characters, I am displaying it as a link. When the user clicks the link, I want the text to be displayed in a layer above all the rest of the elements in the page. How can this be done using javascript..
Code:
A div element that contains some text of variable length. If the length exceeds say 500 characters, Display it as truncated text. ( like "Example text...") The entire truncated text becomes a link When the user clicks the link the content in the div element "pops out" to fill the screen above other elements on the page Image showing truncated text... (before clicking) Image showing text display after clicking the text...
i just added datepicker to my contact form but looks like that adding functions resizing whole page on load, as soon as you focus on datebox page will resize back to normal size.
[URL]
So if i remove :
$(function() { $("#datepicker").datepicker(); $("#datepicker").datepicker("option", "dateFormat", 'd. MM, yy'); });
I am trying to get my divs to resize but i am having a number of difficulties. I am new to jQuery so be gentle! Here is what i am trying to achieve:
1) When the "About me" div is clicked - resize the "About Me" div and hide the other divs. (Which i have managed to get working)
2) When the initialanimation has finished, wait for another click before resizing the div to its original size/position. (This is working but I have had to use the delay function to "pause" the animation - which is not ideal).
I'm making a drop down box using offset so it's below the correct option, but if I resize the window, the dropdown box keeps the same offset as when the page was originally loaded.
but if I once resize the block called res, it always select block called drop and I'd like to split the cells only if I just resizing the block called res.
I am loading an html page using the .load() function into a div called content. I have an overlay that is the same size as the div (I do this for a transparent effect).So with the .load() function in the callback I set the overlay div height to the content div height.. which works fine except when there are images. Since the images aren't loaded yet the div height will be smaller than actual size.[code]and the html file can include anything such as video or images.I tried doing a .delay(1000) just to see if that would fix it but didn't seem like the delay was working.How would I properly set the overlay div height to the content div height AFTER the images have been loaded?
Could some-one please tell me (in simple words ? ) why client-side image resizing is not possible by JQuery - not just changing the breadth & height of an image but actually changing the image to decrease the image file's size ?
It seems possible in java & flash . I would like something like in :[URL].. I would like to have a smaller/fixed image size to upload to server, instead of doing the resizing on the server.
I have a lot of images on a page and the have to be a little bit larger, so i dont want to change all of the css.I have made a couple of lines of code which doesn't give the right values back.The images have all diffrent sizes.
$('.imgbox').each(function(){ var getX = $(this).width(); var getY = $(this).height();[code]....
there's probably some thing wrong because it gives me very big values back.
I have created a simple portfolio item for a site I am working on, with left and right buttons to move between the visible thumbnails in the portfolio.
The problem is this: when I click on one of the left or right buttons used to scroll the active list items, it resizes the space between all of the thumbnails by 1 pixel per click, up to 10 clicks.
I want to resize the div based on browser size, I mean when first it load I want it to fit on browser window and no scrolling bars should be appear and when I resize the browser size by dragging, it should be fix on that size.for example visit this link:I WANT THE SAME BEHAVIOR (SIZE BASED ON BROWSER) BUT USING JQUERY.
I am using the bookflip plugin i found here: [URL]
I am attempting to modify the code so the book pages resize based on the screen width... or height... not really sure how this should be done as I need the proportions of the pages to stay consistent.
I have been able to achieve the resize on page load but I now need to add the resize() method to the variable.
This is what I have so far (original code):
var $containerwidth = $(window).width(); var $pagewidth = $containerwidth/1.22; var $pageheight = $containerwidth/2.05;
I think I need to add an if() statement in the variable that says if page width or height changes resize else original code that is working. I have this code which I know works but I can't seem to get to work with one variable without overriding the original code... which doesn't work with this application.
I'm looking for a way to resize the 'font-size' of an element so it fits in it's container. What I currently have is this:
var maxWidth = 100; var $width = $('.number span').width(); while ($width > maxWidth) { $width.css({ 'font-size' : '-1px' }); alert("bigger"); }
I was trying to make it so while the width of the text is larger than the width of its container, 100px, the size would decrease by 1 in a loop until it's the correct size. Unfortunately, this yield's no results for me.
I'm using the Cycle Plugin for a slideshow with a pager-nav .The AnchorBuilder gets the imagesource from "slide.src" - this is the same source as for the big image. Since I'm using rather big PNG's (500kb each) this double up the total pagesize. Is there a way to scale down these thumbs?I'm using Drupals Imagecache - so I do have access to scaled thumbs. But I dont know how the get Cycle to use them (printing a php array inside a javascript?).My script looks like this:
i just want to know if there is a way on how to determine if the images are fully loaded before resizing the images. I currently develop a slideshow that display images from the server. I just found out that if the images is not fully loaded it return wrong height and width. I just want to determine if the images are fully loaded before i resize it.Height and width is important to my application because i need it to adjust margin of the images.
Have a small problem with a cms whereby when i try to insert default text into an input text field using the "value" attribute it gets deleted. I was thinking to force insert the text in there when the page load with javascript but not sure exactly how...
<p><input name="vericode" id="vericode" value="This text doesn't display!!" type="text" onclick="value=''"/></p>
