Oct 12, 2010i have the following problem: a Joomla Gallery uses a javascript to show fullsize images.but when the popup windows comes out, it doesn't have any properties (page title, url about:blank, blank background etc) think the following to be the code that calls the popup: what's wrong?NOTE I already had to remove some "spaces" from the code because the Joomla SEF was changing the urls forbidding the right execution of everything, maybe it's something like that... dunno :cry:

Sep 10, 2010I have two js scripts running on my project at the moment, one is uses mootools and the other uses jquery-1.2.3min, both work but not if they are on the same page.The mootool adds the pop out effect to a form box and the jquery enables the nav switch for 2 boxes that contain different form fields for a search engine. Now I've been reading up on the two and have decided to favour jquery which means I have to reproduce the same effect in mootool but with my limited knowledge it's proven rather hard.The mootool code:

Unable To Customize The Script So It Pulls Custom User Info From The Joomla DB?
May 5, 2009I'm currently working on an AJAX chat room (jpfchat), which is basically phpfreechat integrated with Joomla. The right column of the room shows current users in the room and refreshes dynamically via AJAX so when new users come in, everyone's session shows the new visitor. I want to be able to customize the script so it pulls custom user info from the Joomla DB. I'm attempting to do this using AJAX.
I located the part of the script that generates the list of usernames. Basically it's a 'for' loop that spits out html using javascript and the JSON response. I've appended a line to this section to execute my custom script. The problem I'm having is that while everything works great on IE, it only works on Safari if I DON'T use asynchronous and it DOESN'T work on EITHER Safari or Firefox if I DO use asynchronous.

Jun 9, 2009I have a webpage with addition questions for numeracy training. I am storing the sums in a table(id="sums"), with an empty textbox(id=ans1) for the user to type the answer. After the user types an answer and moves onto the next Q, I want to activate a popup dispaying if the answer is correct or not. I am tackling this with onmouseout. The script checks the answer, then displays a confirm message if correct or and alert message if wrong. The onmouseout is not working

Stickies App Not Working - How To Make It Work

EDIT: to get to the stickies part, click the apple menu, and click stickies. you'll see how the stickies wont drag because this script that adds new stickies has a problem.

What's happening is when I click on "test", it does show the alert but it does not go to the 4th slide. Instead, It acts as if it was the first call, therefore the slideshow starts again from the 1st slide with the default options.

Jun 8, 2009I have a pretty simple function set up to pull XML data into my page, but there's a couple things wrong with it. I'm REALLY new to J Script and really trying my best to learn, but for some reason I'm not yet adept at googling the right results :rolleyes:At the very bottom you can see the data from the first XML entry, so it seems the function itself is working fine, but it's not looping coorectly to access all the data.Also, I want to pull it into the "shows" div of the page, but can't figure out how to put it there (seriously, I am very new with JS). The code below is not working, but the live site has it added to the body, which does show the one entry.Here's the XML function, the XML data and the HTML markup:
