JQuery :: Hides All Divs Except The First One (check The Site) On Load, Then Whenever Click A H3, It Performs As An Accordion?

Apr 5, 2011

I've got my accordion working.The html and jq are as follows

<div class="nav">
<h3><div></div>
<h3><div></div>
<h3><div></div>etc..
</div>
$(document).ready(function() {

This hides all divs except the first one (check the site) on load, then whenever I click a h3, it performs as an accordion, sliding the hidden div down and other visible divs back upI want to add another functionality. I want it to be like, if you click on a h3, and the next div is already open, it will hide that div. else, it performs this function. This would be a basic if/else then wouldn't it? I'm new to jq but I've done mIRC scripting in the past and I don't know how the selectors work yet

JQuery :: Hides Some Divs On Page Load-But Not Fast Enough?

Mar 18, 2010

[URL].. I have used some jQuery to hide two divs (#choices and #review) until a selection of "yes" or "no" is made. My problem is that as the page loads, these div's are displayed for a split second until the jQuery hides them. Can anyone tell me a better way or a fix for the existing code that I am using?

JQuery :: Show Two Separate Divs, Hide Divs On One Click?

Aug 19, 2009

I'm looking for some javascript to work with wordpress (jQuery preferrably) that will show/hide multiple divs on one click.

I had one working but it was kinda janky because it was causing me to have two divs with the same ID on one page. No good.

Since I updated to wp2.8.3 prior to launch, it's not working. So I've decided to just try and do it right.

Here's a page: [URL]

So, what I want to happen: On page load, the first tab: "general" and it's corresponding div beneath should be showing. And the first image should be showing. The other content divs and images should be hidden. I've given the text content divs a dashed border to show their borders. When a visitor clicks "dine at home" the general div and image hide, the second content div shows, as does the second image (it's currently the identical image, but the client may change later.) Etc.

I'll be using this function on a few other pages as well.

how to adjust this javascript to work on two different IDs at once?

current code:

Code:
<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">
$(function () {
var tabContainers = $('div.imgswap > div');

Js Accordion Navigation In The Bottom Of The Sidebar On Site

Dec 17, 2009

I've been experimenting with accordion nav in the bottom of the sidebar on this site. I got it from this work put up by Marco van Hylckama Vlieg, and I think he's done a good job. At a glance, it looks like my menu works, but as you click around, you will see it is not consistent at remembering which section of the menu to leave open - it should remember its state. It uses cookies, and I wonder if there is a problem with that, or a conflict with other scripts on the site (this is a Squarespace site). I'm hoping a js expert might see an obvious problem. I asked Marco, but he saw no problem. I've tried it on several machines and always had problems.

JQuery :: Uncheck And Check (re-check) A Radio Input On Page Load?

Oct 4, 2011

Here is the HTML: [URL] I'm trying to uncheck the selected radio button, then set the value to 1 (Yes), basically overwriting theinitialvalue to 1. I've looked at prop(), val(), and attr(), and just don't know where to start. Should I select $('#set_q157 input') or$('#set_q157 input:radio'), or each individual radio?

Do I need to each them, and check if its checked, then change its value, or is there a way to select all three inputs as just one radial button? It would also need to work if the input has not yet been checked.

JQuery :: Load Accordion First Before Content?

I have an accordion constructed similar to the demo here: [URL]

If you browse the above with IE you will see that the content load first before the accordion kicks in to structure content into the accordion nicely.

My question is whether it is possible to get the accordion loaded first and then load the content only after that. This is so that we will not see the raw content first before it got put into the accordion.

JQuery :: Accordion Click() Not Working In IE?

Apr 21, 2011

I'm coding a site with a four-stage accordion as a navigation sidebar. When a user clicks on an accordion stage, an image with a text link overlaid pops out from beneath.It's working fine in every browser except, natch, IE, and I'm flummoxed as to why.Here's the HTML for the accordion. There's a nav tag called #sidebar which contains two parts: an aside (#conditions) and the accordion (#navV). You can pretty much ignore #conditions, as it's #navV that's causing the headache, but I thought it prudent to include it anyway.

<nav id="sidebar">
<aside id="conditions">
<h3>Find out more about</h3>[code]....

As I said, working a charm in FF, Chrome, Opera, Safari. Just IE - you click on the <li><span> and nothing happens.

Jquery :: Load Template In A Slide Of An Accordion Using Mysql - Php

Jun 28, 2010

I have built a website using a)MySQL b)HTML c)PHP and d)Javascript. My website consists of basic html pages/templates which have links to the left and point to another templates/pages. For example, i have 4 templates in my site

1st template is for: News
2nd : Library
3nd : Articles
4th : E-shop

Each template consists of 1. a small menu with links,every link points to another page 2.space for the content/text of the html page 3. a form for searching in the website using php and a mysql database. Well, i'm thinking of adding some animation in my website using the jquery library.Let's say we have an accordion which has 4 choices and when the user clicks on the first choice the 1st template(NEWS) appears inside the slide of accordion,loads in the same slide, not in a new page!!!This is what i would like to do, place in each slide of the accordion one of my templates. CAn this be done? Which are the disadvantages of adding in each slide of the accordion a different template for my site and remain in the same slide when the user clicks in one of the links of the template? Consider that i'm using dynamic content and not static, i have a MySQL database behind.

Also,as i have seen in most examples the options of accordion usually contain an image, a content, a text or links which open in a new window or tab not inside the slide!!!These links do not load in the same slide!!i would like to have a template which loads in the slide each time the user clicks on a link of it.

JQuery :: Making Multiple Divs Appear Or Disappear When Diff Sections Of Site Are Scrolled To?

Jul 14, 2011

I am trying to create a fixed crest at the top of my site that changes depending on where the viewer of the site scrolls to.

I found the following script/plugin on StackOverflow that works well for making one element fade in and fade out.

PART ONE:

function isScrolledIntoView(elem) {
var docViewTop = $(window).scrollTop();
var docViewBottom = docViewTop + $(window).height();
var elemTop = $(elem).offset().top;

[Code].....

I then duplicated part two and changed the variables to make a different div appear in this position depending on where the viewer was in the site but it did not work past the first transition. see the following link to get a better idea what I am trying to achieve.

[URL]

Is there any way I can adjust the script to make it work with multiple transitions?

JQuery :: Accordion Menu Click And Hoover On Parent?

Dec 24, 2011

someone created a Liferay portlet for me where we use a accordion jquery menu.Now for the "parent" menu I would like to know if one can have a page attached to the parent, that appears "on click" and (so parent "home" opens home.html) and at the same time expand the chile menu oh "home"?Here s the script from the header:

var currentObj;
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
//open active level

[code]....

At the moment the menu expand is done by having a + sign behind the parent menu items. One clicks that plus and the menu expands and the + changes to -. We have the feeling that the + sign is not clear enough and site visitors will not see the rest of the menu.
