Is it possible to make jquery fadeout a div before the page redirects to the links href?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen clicking the menu links on my site I want the page main content to fade out just right before the linked page is loaded, this way..
$(document).ready(function () {
$('#topmenu a').click(function() {
$('div#main').fadeOut();
});
});
But when I click the browser backward button and it goes back to the page I was, its content remains faded out, which is kind of awkward.. I just want the page content fading in again if the browser backward button is clicked.
I need to fadeout an image after a delay when a page is loaded, then redirect it to another page.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a very simple image rotator that brings in images then rotates through them using fadein/out.
You can see it going here: [URL]. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page then wait a few seconds the main image will rotate and the browser will jump up (almost as if it's going to an anchor).
The images are brought in to a 100% div and the images are specified to 100% width (not sure if this is related but I'd thought i'd let you know!).
The code I'm using is this:
function run_slides(id){
var curid;
var nextid;
curid=id;
[Code].....
What I need, Is the code for this: making a radio button (once activated with green dot inside it) link to a different page. That's about it. Pretty simple.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHere is the url:The issue, as you will see, is initially when my front page loads the "menu" animates into place. Then after a button is clicked:
$(".home_button").click(function() {
$('#content_menu').stop().fadeOut(1000,function() {
window.location = "http://jquery.com/";
[code]...
That all works fine. The issue is when I use the back button on the browser to return to the home page the animation never triggers and the page remains unusable until a refresh. How can I have this page refresh when the user uses the back button and/or is there a better way to do what I'm asking?
I have used the overlay tool - following the instructions from the [URL]
and now I want to integrate it into my site but I want a written word to trigger the overlay not a button.
On my page here [URL] you can see that the button is triggering the overlay - change it so that the 'About' link triggers the overlay.
I've just started looking into jQuery and the first thing I decided to do was try to get it working on a web site i'm currently developing (vb.net 2005). After a few initial teething problems I've got a few odds and end working and have basically improved my site a bit. However there is one major problem.
I have a datagrid on the main page which has one column of hyper links and since I've implemented jQuery the links have stopped working. If I right click the links and 'opening in new window' all works well but simply clicking on the link no longer works.
Is there a way to validate a form using a link and NOT a submit button? I have a link on my form that I'm using as a submit button to do some ajax posting. However, I need to validate some of the input fields before the data is sent to the database.
[Code]...
I currently use javascript in an anchor tag to submit a form using
<a href="#" onClick="document.myformname.submit(); return false;">Submit</a>
The only problem is, JQuery doesn't acknowledge that my form has been submitted.
Is it possible, when a page is reloaded, to replace a link to a javascript in the head with a link to a different script?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a few input buttons per page:
<input type="button" value="MyButton" onclick="location='[URL]'">
I want to convert them to:
<a href="[URL]"><span>MyButton</span></a>
How can I convert that with jquery? I try to get the onlick val but jquery or javascript seems to convert onclick to a function. I have this, but it's not quite right, I'm trying to just move the onclick data to the link, but I'd rather do it with href.
$(":button").each(function(){
var ocval = $(this).attr("onclick").val();
$(this).replaceWith("<a class="button" href="javascript:void(0);"
onclick=""+ ocval +""><span>" + $(this).val() + "</span></a>");
});
I have a requirement that when a particular link is clicked, it submits back to the server. This is the same as clicking on a submit button. But the submit button is a link.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to have a link with an id within it such as
<li><a href='newpage.html' id='12'>Some title</a></li>
when you click on the link a new page html page opens and on that new page, information found in a database with the id of 12(as found in the link) will be displayed using external style sheets etc. Can this be done with html css javascript and json? P.S I know how to do this with php however I want this to be done in my mobile app so the actual page cannot be a .php page
I've got a JQuery Mobile form working across multiple "pages", even though it is a single HTML file.This is done by placing the opening form tag before the <div data-role="page"id="screen1"> tag, and closing it after the final losing page div tag. Works great.Currently the form validation is properly flagging each field as the user leaves it.The only trouble I am having is making the continue button at the bottom of each screen disabled until the visible invalid fields pass validation.Here's the simplified version of the code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
[code]....
I was looking for the way to detect outgoing click on middle mouse button. .click() only detect main button click.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working on a project that relies heavily on AJAX calls, they are done in dozens of places. There are a number of places where I would want to prevent the user from submitting information multiple times (form submissions etc ). I am trying to think of the best way to accomplish this.
I could simply disable the element that starts the AJAX call upon the first click and re-enable it upon completion of the call. I have also seen examples of developers using a class to handle ajax calls that store an identifier for the call and if it is in progress any new calls with the same identifier will be ignored.
I'm running into a problem in which I have a nav menu that allows you to click on menu items (about, links, etc) and this makes a corresponding content div fade in and the others fade out. I set all the content divs to initially display: none; which works, but the problem is that when I click on a nav item for the first time since page refresh, all the content pokes through and then fades out, rather than just the one I want fading in. The selected div stays visible, but I want to get rid of this problem!
View 8 Replies View RelatedIf I change all my code to use css() instead of trying to change img tags with the attr() function, I need to figure out how fadein and fadeout work. The code I have now doesn't work right. It is supposed to start with 1.jpg showing and then fade that out and show 2.jpg in it's place.
$(document).ready(function(){
$("#imgbox").fadeOut(5000);
$(".imgbox2").fadeIn(5000, function(){
[code]...
When I leave out the fadein of the new image the first image appears and then fades out like it should but when I add the fadeout function it displays the second image and then fades it out even though it is the inner div with a class instead of the outer div with id which should display the first image.
Small probs at getting started with jquery: i want to have boxes called "employ-big", wich appear on hover "employ" and dissapear on mouseleave. And i tried the following, with one small prob - the removeClass-call comes to early:
This is the HTML incl. jquery and css:
The problem is, that the employ-big-DIV changes the z-index direcly after mouseleave wich is not very nice. Is it possible to removeClass after fadeOut is finished? And is the way i tried to show my divs the right and elegant way in jquery? I tried it also with hover, but didn't work well, so i decided this way!
Suggestions about my removeClass-probs? The main prob is, when there is a second row of Divs "employ", the shown employ-big falls back to early to z-index:1 wich doesn't look nice...
The Idea is to get something similar like the product-categories on [url]
This works fine on a normal button but not on one that runs at server i.e <asp:Button ID="btn1" runat="server"
How can I make it work?
I can't seem to get this to work. I want to be able to fade div out if inactive or if a user clicks outside the div.,..Here is the script using jquery 1.3.1
Code JavaScript:
jQuery.noConflict();
google.setOnLoadCallback(function()
[code]....
the following does not work in IE8, but it works in Firefox (the text fadeOut and then in):
function
blink(oldValue, newValue, selector) {
if (oldValue != newValue) {
[Code]....
I'm new to jQuery..so maybe a newbe question. I'm working on a search result dropdownbox. So user enters text in textfield->ajax gets results->displays it in box under textbox. i use folowing code to remove resultbox when user clicks somewhere on page.
[Code]...
This is all working fine, But now i added next page in the result box. As soon as this is clicked , the resultbox is fadeout..because of above code. Can i make it fadeout on a click anywhere except in the textbox or result box ??
I want it so a fadeIn occurs halfway through a fadeOut Obviously this won't work via the callback because it waits for the fadeOut to complete entirely. I just want my list item to fade in halfway through the current fade out so there is a nicer transition.
[Code]...
Also I have a SPAN inside the LI's, and I wanted to make it so that the span fades in right after the LI, then fades out right before the Li but I couldn't figure out it.
