Can this jQuery function be created so I can add the function to "#<%= chbNuevoJugXX.ClientID %>" instead of "#<%= chbNuevoJug01.ClientID %>" and then use the XX to how hide the corresponding row?
i have several programmatically generated DIVSectionsin my WebApplication. And i have for each of these DIVSectiona RadioButton Group. When the user now checks the RadioButton of the associated DIV-Section theSectionshould be Shown. And when he checks the other RadioButton the DIVSectionshould be hidden. How could a jQuery Function and a call look like, which does the above action? Here my sample:
After loading a HTML fragment using AJAX, I can not select the newly embedded elements using the $("#id") notation. document.getElementById works fine though.
Previously when developing my own modal windows I have been creating a "mask" div directly in my markup, in the CSS setting it to be display:none and then setting it to show() by jQuery when a button is clicked.
I'm sure there is a better way to do this but i'm getting a little stuck.
I tried adding the "mask" div and its content to the body using prepend() when my button is clicked but i found i then can't select any of the added elements in jQuery.
How can you select elements you have added to a page by jQuery?? Also if this is the right approach whats the best way to insert a block of html to a page??
Below I have dynamical generated radio buttons, the names($approve variable is the name) per radio button pairs are different(dynamically created names using looping). When I create two buttons, one is for if you click it, all the radio button with the label approve will be selected all, and the other button is for the disapprove label button that will select the radio button with the label disapprove.
I have recently started exploring the world of jQuery and it looks incredibley rich and powerful! I am stuck on something, though. When I dynamically create a div
var divTag = document.createElement("div"); //Set the parameters divTag.id = "divMaster"; //Create it and immediately hide it!
[Code].....
This is probably really obvious, but I cannot figure out why? Perhaps jQuery is looking for elements already in the original HTML, and my div tag was added to the DOM after loading the original elements?
i've been breaking my brain about this issue for a bit now, so here is my question.
I have a SELECT with various OPTIONS
<select id="myselect" name="myselect"> <option value='$variable' >1 - variable ammount of this option</option> <option value='$variable' id="showOption">2 - gets added once at the end of the SELECT</option>
I am working on JQuery show and hide methods. I want to show and hide some fields. But those fields are dynamically generated. I have generated those field ids also dynamically. But i am unable to pass that dynamically generated id to the show or hide method. My code is as follows: please suggest me how to pass the ID dynamically.
I have a table that contains many rows, some in italian with code <td nome='riga_i'> and some in english with code <td name='row_e'>. I have created two buttons with different background flags: italy and uk, so when one pushes the button with flag uk, the html page will be reloaded with only english rows, and when one pushes the button with flag it, the same page is reloaded containing only italian rows. All the code posted here works well, but I think that the code can be better because to reach this result I had to dupplicate the same function and I don' t like this.
Here the code:
To better the code I have tried in this way but without success ...
I have some wordpress code which generates a menu with links to the pages created in the admin area.
[Code]...
The id of active is on the currently selected menu item. In the above code the home page. How can I get the subnav to show only if the main menu item which contains a subnav is active? The rest of the time I want the subnav hidden. I have found the effect I want on another site [URK]. If you select advanced treatments a sub menu appears. If you select say jobs then the subnav for advanced treatments disappears.
I have: <div class="date">21-Mar-11</div> I would like to select only the 21 and then only the "Mar" and replace the content of the div with "Mar 21," or something along those lines. The output is not the problem. I need selecting specific parts of the string. So I want to learn more about selecting specific parts of strings.
You can't select the 'text' part of an 'a' element with css, e.g. in the statement <a>some text </a> you can't use a css attribute selector a[text = "some text"]{} to style the 'a' element. You can select all named attributes such as HREF, TITLE, etc. Does jquery's .attrib map strictly to the css usage or is there some way I can match on that part of an 'a' element?
I need this because a menu list I'm working with doesn't by default require a TITLE element so I can't assume I can match on this attribute.
I am trying to hide/show table when hide/show button is pressed
Problem: The code works fine when I remove 'slow' from line 10. But with 'slow' in line 10 content of toggleButton doesnt change from Hide to Show when pressed.
I'm working on an embedded device and I want to display only part of the original configuration page by building a jQuery page on top of it. Unfortunately, the code that generated the pages was not ajax friendly in the sense that the only way I have to identify the parts I want to show or hide is the class attribute. Up to now, I've been able to load the page with the simple code:
But it doesn't work. Then I read on the [URL] that I would need to wrap it:

If you want to load some content into a div and then manipulate it afterwards ((ie: loading something your use a template for a message window and then want to change the message contents) you *must* do it by wrapping it in the completed function handler..
Don't just throw it a few lines down, you'll get random chances that the selector will
how I should do this? Do I need to replace the test() function by a function that will do the post treatment? How then?
I dynamically create a textbox as follows, but I cannot retrieve the value entered by the user:
bp_boards = ' <tr id="hwNumberBoards"> <td>No. of modules:</td>[code]....
The dynamically created textbox shows up on the page but after the user enters a value, I cannot retrieve it from jquery(alert ($("#hwNumberBoards").val()) is "undefined")
I am creating Textboxes at Runtime with something like this code...
and what this function does it count the number of Characters that have been typed in a Textbox. so i am displaying the remaining characters. So that is working fine on my example because the Element is known at Early Binding. Now my question is what if the textbox is created dynamically ?
contentbox
this is the name of the Textbox in my example.
how do we use a J Query in Dynamically created Textbox.
How to add an ID to dynamically created input field. Type of serial Input field its possible to add, but If I insert any input field in the middle is the problem for me.
Add/Delete of the input field is happening like this [URL]... How to add the ID for the input field
I'm using some javascript to generate multiple input text fields with the same name of additionalDate[] but cant seem to get datepicker to work on it.Here is the datepicker code:
The code below creates images based on a json feed, no problem. All images are created and the click function works perfectly, but... I can't access any of the images by their id's so I can't make thefunctionbehave as I wan't.
I first thought jQuery appended my image object as html and didn't insert it as a valid object in the dom, but as the click function is working that can't be it?
I found some other people had the same problem but they were using vanilla js, their solution was using .appendChild() but thatdoesn'twork in jQuery.
