JQuery :: DatePicker DateFormat - Input Field Format Does Not Change
Oct 5, 2011
I have a problem with the datePicker that I am trying to solve this for the past 2 days now.Looked at all the tutorials and posts but nothing helped. My problem is that I want the datePicker to return the date as: dd/mm/yyyy and whatever I tried, the input field that gets the selected date displays it as: Tue Apr 26 2011 00:00:00
Iam using JQuery DatePicker Plugin , created by Kelvin Luck [url]. Plugins default format is d/m/Y. how to change its default format to US Date format (m/d/Y).
The datepicker allows a default date to be set in a format such as "+7d" or even "+1m +7d", etc... However, is it possible to allow the user to input in this format as well directly into the input field that is defined as a datepicker? It looks like there is validation happening on each keystroke which is limiting what character classes can be entered.
It's been asked many time but I can't find exactly where to put the code: I want to change the format of the date from mm/dd/yy to dd/mm/yy someone posted this: $('#date').datepicker({dateFormat: 'dd-M-yy'}); but I'm not sure where it goes? Does it go in this bit (see below) ? and if so where? Or does it go in the jquery.datePicker.js or somewhere else?
I need to show the date picker in an input field that is inside a form. I have index.php which has the code for the date picker, I just need to link it to the input field. I have the form in another file as follows:
I have been working on this code for a few days now and it works. Or at least it appears to be working. I would like to have the tot 1, tot 2, tot 3 return with currency formatting. Is there a way to add something to my code to accomplish this?
When dialog pops up and when I want to select date from datepicker but clicking on input datepicker is under dialog. What option make it to be on top ?
I'm new to Javascript so this might be a real easy fix. But I'm trying to figure out a way to reformat the date that jQuery's datepicker pulls up. I want it formatted to yyyy-mm-dd so I can move it with PHP into my MySQL database. This seems like it will be the easiest way, there's even a couple of bits within the jQuery website about how to do this. They provide a code, but I can't figure out how or where to apply the code. I've tried both within and just underneath the call script on the page, but nothing. Here's one of the codes that I've found listed over the web:
And i would like to change value attribute of input field (for example only to file.txt but it doesn't matter). Is this possible? I'm browsing google 2 hours, but still didn't find nothing which works...If I had an id instead of class, it would be easy, but i have only class and I cant change this (its dynamically generated with framework i'm using).
PS. Int my html there are more input elements with class="text_field", it would be good to change them all.
I am having a form with two input fields. I want to enter some text in the first input field and then the second field should get the same text. Is there a simple way (maybe a plugin) to do this with jQuery? It would be perfect if I even could output all these input fields values as normal text in <p> or <li> tags.
When a string of text is doubleclicked, the text changes into an input field, (dropdown, text, etc), and when the user presses enter or clicks out of the field, whatever they chose/typed in replaces the original string of text.
I am trying to use the jquey datepicker. I want to show the date chosen by the user in a <span> element with a particular format. However my code maintains the default format. What am I doing wrong?
How do I change the background colour of an input box in a form as soon as the value is changed? Also the background should revert back to it's original colour if the user decides that they do not want to make any changes and hence retype back the orginial value.
I do not want the background to change after the user has moved to the next form field but as soon as the value has been changed.
I am trying to convert the text of a datetime field from UTC to a more American friendly format.
I am having trouble getting the text to change to the converted version. I have each input of type=datetime-local assigned to a class dateTime and I am using the function below.
The code runs without error, but the text of the control is not updated.
$('.dateTime').click(function() { var mainParts = $(this).attr('value').split('T'); if (mainParts.length > 1){ var dateParts = mainParts[0].split('-');
