JQuery :: Click On Link And Pass Value?

I have one page which is the server processing where the link is and the other page which shows the user page.On clicking on the link I manage to make a panel (slide toggle kind) be displayed alright. But I still need that on clicking on that link a value is passed. I think I have to write a couple of lines more in the Ajax snippet but dont know how exactly. I have seen a similar question but havent been able to translate it to my specific case.[code]Well, somewhere in the middle or maybe in another Ajax snippet I should put that $get and this should be returned so that a SQL query can take that value and work with it.

Is it possible? Say We have a list of suppliers link like
A supplier
B supplier
when right click on a supplier, a context menu(that has
"details","view products", etc) appears and click on "view products
for this supplier" this click will redirect users to products page
showing all products from the supplier.
So href should look some like this
<a href="RightClicked(ཆ')">A supplier</a>

function RightClicked(supplierID)
{
// don't know I am making this up here
if (viewDetailsClicked)
ShowDetails(supplierID);

How can I give a click on a link when it is just created and added to DOM?

I'd like to use this as a general function to pass id's to the selectors(represented now by #A and #B). The id's are variable, so if i click the element with id=A it knows to change element with id=D, ect. , But more importantly, I'm not sure how to pass the id's to the click(). I certainly dont want to write a click for each element.

I currently have the following:
<a href="#" id='$dbase'>Link</a>
which passes the value of $dbase to my jQuery click function.
But I'd like to also pass a second parameter consisting of a page number. Can that be done using the click function or would I have to do it another way. I'm assuming it must be possible. I suppose i could always concatenate the two parameters, e.g. $dbase-$pagenum, pass that and then split it in the javascript but that seems a slightly inelegant way of doing it.

I want to call the click event of the link (anchor tag) on the click of the button. I used this code below in the click event of button to call links click event and it works fine in IE.
document.getElementById('linktag').click();
But, this doesn't work in Firefox. I googled a bit and found that in firefox, you have to do something more to achieve this behaviour. So, I ended up doing this on button click to work in firefox:

The above code does the click on link when I click on the button. But my problem now is that I have defined a link as
<a href="mailto:abc@xyz.com?subject=abc&body=email body">email </a>
and when click is called and mailto links opens my email client, it somehow ignores the subject and body parameters of the link. It works properly when i actually click a link element. but it doesn't work when i simulate the click event by code written above. above dispatching event code somehow ignores the link parameters?

I would like to pass a link through the same page using XMLHttpRequest or what ever is best without reloading the page eg; I have :

if someone click on the link id='next' then they go to the next page where at the moment in the URL it says: default.php?page=3

I have a simple a tag in html that when clicked I want to link to a random address picked from an array of possible links.
So in the code here I have an array of the links and I'm picking a random number from the length of that array, I'm then using that number to pick a random link from the array.

I am using jQuery BlockUI Plugin (v2). It works success but I have a small problem, when I click the link, it is bloclking the page but the main page goes up. Also same problem for link which is oppening new tab or new windows. main pages goes up when I click the link.

Well here's the thing I have a div named "content", and another div class named "resizeme" (for a link). When I click the resizeme link rollover. I want the div to toggle from it's original dimensions of 300x200. However all I got so far is you click the link it goes fullscreen, and from there I can't remember how to make it toggle so when I click the link again it'll go back to it's original size.

I've got 2 scripts for my website. The first is an AJAX script which loads the different pages when the links are clicked. The second scriptfades content in and out on the home page when another set of links are in.
I'm struggling to change the color of both sets of links when they're clicked.

i have a link the jquery code says when my link is clicked do this animation the problem is that when you click on the link it skips the animation and jumps to the next page. is there a way to make the animation run and when finished then go to the link page that the link anchors to?

I am writing an MVC ASP.NET based website, and I want to create a ActionLink that deletes the current entity. For search engine reasons, I don't want this link to be able to be followed (else all my data is gone!), unless a user, via jQuery, confirms the action. For the confirmation, I can use something like:

I'm using the jquery.treeview plugin to build an outline. Each element within the outline has a link to the side of it that runs a javascript function. I'd like to have users click on this without triggering the toggle of the element. Below is a very simple html file that shows the problem- each element has a [+] to the side of it- when you click on that link, in addition to the alert, the group will expand or contract. Any ideas how to suppress that when clicking on the [+], but allow it when clicking on
