I'd like to execute some code when a user clicks inside an iframe (content on same domain). The following call works so far:

When the user clicks on a link within that frame, the frame posts back (2. site is being displayed)....from this time on the above mentioned call does not work anymore. The code is located outside, so it should not touch anything. The strange thing is, that it works for the first site, but not for sub sites?The structure looks like the following:

While I have hundreds of draggables, the performance is very dramatical. So I want to hear from you if its possible to write code around it. Have you devs a solution to create a draggable on the mousedown event? The problem I face now, is: that I can create on the mousedown a draggable, but it wont following my mouse. If I reclick it, then it follows my mouse. Currently I have the following not working code:

This is the code I am using to test this. In FF and Op. When I click on an option in the select box, the alert pops up. In IE and Chrome, it doesn't seem to catch it at all.

I have a big <table> and I have added an onmousedown handler.
When I get back the event in IE and Firefox, the individual <td>
element appears in window.event.srcElement (IE) and in
event.target (Firefox). However in Safari the target is just the
<table>, not the <td>.
I need to get back the <td> associated with the event, and I would
not like to put an onmousedown handler on each table cell because
there are a lot of them. Does anybody know how I can get the event
and figure out which table cell was clicked?
I am building a webpage and have made a menu which looks like tabs in a filing cabinet, kind of like you see if you go to "Display Properties" in Windows, for example.What I need is a script to make the tab buttons open up a window in an iframe, changing the image when clicked. When I scroll down the page I want an alert to say "Div one in view", "Div two in view" etc. I know more than one div could be visible in the browser window but I wanted it to alert the one in the centre of the window. I was thinking it would be best to fire an event when the div is a set distance from the top of the browser window - I don't know where to start with it, or if using the distance from the top of the browser is the best way.

the onmouseclick event and return false, but that only disables
certain types of things. I can still, for example, click in a text box
and then type something or change the selection in a dropdown list. I
tried returning false in the onmousedown event, but that didn't do the
trick. I'd rather not have to disabled all the controls on the page.
Any ideas?
I'm trying to change the value of an input field (target) which depends on another input (source). It works well when I manually change the source value. But if I changed the source value with another button, the target value remains the same.

So I have an event handler for the KeyDown event in a Javascript file but for some reason it does not get called the first time a key is pressed. However, if a key is pressed or a mouse button clicked then the next time I press a key it does get called. Here is the relevant code:

I have been trying to archieve the following with no luck.
- We have a Java Applet that handles fileuploads
- Once the applet finished uploading the files to server, onUploadFinish() is triggered
onUploadFinish() function contains the following

As highlighted in the above code, I am unable to submit the form automatically. I am certain that onUploadFinish() is triggered because all other statements in onUploadFinish() kicks in and the whole thing works like a charm apart from submission. Is there a rule that forms cannot be submitted this way?
I am using Lightbox+ and overall it's very good for my needs. However it has a small problem. If you goto [URL] and click on the image "Sample 2" then use the next arrow to go to "Sample 3" you have to hover off the image and then back on to get the previous and zoom icons to show again. I have been able to make the bug occur every time in both Firefox 3.6 and IE6. I am guessing the mouseover event isn't triggering correctly due to the image object moving underneath the mouse pointer but I just can't fix it.

I'm trying to create an internal web app to work with Opera Mobile (in this case I am able to restrict the user base to just one browser, so not too worried about other cross browser issues). I need to be able to capture when the user hits the Enter key in a form field. I was intending just to use the standard Javascript event.keycode/which == 13 method. The issue I am having is that hitting the Enter key doesn't seem to trigger as a keypress, keydown, keyup event.My guess is it has something to do with the keypad that automatically pops up. I'm happy for any work around here, whether it is able to be done in Opera Mobile settings or by doing something different/firing a different event in Javascript.Example code:

I have two div tags, first div is the father and the second div is son Inside the father like this

My question is why the son inherits the father in the event.
I want when I click on the Father div implement the event, but when i click on the son does not implement anything because it does not have any event.
I want to add a global event handler for mousedown that will register whenever the user clicks anywhere on the page but I'm having trouble.This is what I'm trying to do:

I would like to create a plugin that I can put before a click event on a button. The click event should occur if the user's time on the page hasn't expired. The plugin should check the user's time, and then stop the click event if the time has expired. With the plugin, I'm essentially putting two click events on the same button, as I need to check the expiration when the button is clicked. The plugin is working on my test page, but I'm afraid that this is contingent on an arbitrary ordering of the click events by jQuery. If I have my click event chained after my plugin, can I be assured that the plugin would always stop the click event if the time is expired? Or could jQuery execute the click event before the time gets checked?

I have an object that has a click event I'm trying to trigger. However in the click event I have the following if statement:
if(event.button != 0){return true;}
This if statement allows right clicks to go through and activate but it also prevents me from triggering the event. Any ideas on how to prevent this? If I remove the if statement from the first click function everything works as intended.Here's my example code based off of the trigger event examples:

It kind of works, but the problem is that if I move the mousepointer to fast out of the DIV then it will not trigger.The div in question has some elements within it, and originally it was allmost fully covered by those element... and then the onmouseout did not work that good....So I had to create some padding for the div to make it detect the onmouseout better... kind of work... but sometimes failes to trigger on the onmouseout.That padding also make the div not look that good ... so would like to get rid of all the padding as well, and make it work, if possible.I have tested this in the following browsers and get pretty much same behaviour in them all:IE8, Firefox (latest), Chrome (latest), Safari for win (latest beta)...
I create buttons from an array of objects that such as:

I then loop thru the array to assign the text and bind the click event after having created the buttons with IDs of "button_<index>".

If I hard code each button .click, it works fine.
