JQuery :: Change Class Onclick From Account To Account_selected ?
Jun 8, 2009
I have this code:
This is changing my class name from account to account_selected, which is great but what I need it to do is when another div is clicked is change the class back to "account" and set the one that was clicked to "account_selected."
is it possible to change the class of an element onClick with a fade? This is the code I have so far which works great for changing the class but I have no idea how to include a fade in this. I am changing the class in order to change the background-image of a div.
I am using this javascript code to run 'onclick' to change my href class style. It works to change the style, but when I click on the next menu item, the previous one is not reverted back to how it was previously, but the formatting is stripped away leaving the link purple with no background image. How do I get it to revert to the original class which is set?
Here is the javascript :-
Here is the relevant CSS :- .menu { background: url('../images/productblack.jpg') repeat; width: 100%; line-height: 24px; float:left; display:inline; font-family: Verdana; color : #ffffff; font-size: 8pt; text-decoration: none; text-align: left; font-weight:bold; } .....
Here is the HTML :-

RESISTORS
 Surface Mount
..... Here is a working page with it (the product menu on the right) [URL]
I have a side menu that I have added an onclick statement to, which will change the css class for that item to "selected" so that I can apply styles for the selected link. Here is what I have:
HTML Code: <!-- .selected {[code]....
How can I modify this so, after one selection is clicked, and you click something else, the class gets removed from the first clicked item, and is now applied to the newly clicked item? I only want the class applied to the currently clicked item, and removed when they click on another item.
I'm trying to unsubscribe from this mailinglist and from the developer mailinglist. It seems, that I need a google account for that. Actually I wasn't planing to create a new account just to unsubscribe from two mailinglists. Is there another way?
I'm having an issue where when I click a button it changes the class of that button $(this).addClass('not_selected').removeClass('selected'); And then I want to make it so that button acts diffrently once it has been pushed $('.selected').hover(function(){..... The button is changing class fine I have checked it in firebug but I want it to then instantly respond to other jquery functions as if it has the new class?
To make it simpler, i've got a div that I populate with buttons (via AJAX), each button has an ID of some table row. It looks like this:

and buttons are defined like this:
Now what happens - when page loads, I'm inserting buttons in that div with "id" attribute changed depending on some row within the database table.
[Code]...
it all works fine. Now, when I add another entry in the database and when I dynamically append yet another button - even tho it has the attribute "do_something" - the click action on it does nothing. I know how to get around this "problem" by adding bind action after I've inserted that button but it's literally duplicating my work. Is there way around this so that every newly inserted element has the action "click" bound to it if it fits the selector?
few days ago I wanted to post a follow-up to an issue reported on my plugin on [URL] just to find out some really weird things are happening there.
First I couldn't post the reply with an error telling me I didn't select any project. So I checked the dropdown list of projects to manually find the Reel project. It isn't in the list.
Then I tried to search for Reel project. With no luck.
I also tried a breadcrumb link on the issue page which finally led me to my project page - [URL] where I saw another unusual thing - a pink background underlying the page.
So I filed an issue there -[URL]
But things got much worse today...
Now when I'm logged in i see "ACCESS DENIED" nearly anywhere I look - jQuery Plugins Website Issue Queue, my plugin homes, my issues, the support request I filed, even on the jQuery Plugins homepage.
Under My Projects there's "You have no projects". Even though my other plugin - [URL] - seems to still exist
I have two projects there and even when I'm not logged I'm able to see just one (longclick), the other (reel) gives me access denied.
I'm also denied to post a follow-up to my support request, hence I'm posting here.
some jQuery Plugins Website insiders? what the heck is going on with my account and my Reel project?
I'm guessing you know this only too well, but here's a reminder: I wanted to leave a comment about errors in the tutorial on the web site (and I will, in my next post) but the mediawiki Login screen, though titled "Log in / Create account", doesn't appear to allow one to create a (mediawiki) account.
I want to make it so that when I click on something, it changes what document.onclick does.
This is a simplified version of what I'm trying to do:
Code:
Click here

However, as you'll notice, the alert box shows up on the first click as well. The only way I have been able to get around this behaviour is to have the first onclick execute a timer that will then set the document.onclick after 1ms, however this seems very messy to me.
I try to find working example, but no luck.I need this very simply javascript to onClick change value and second click change value back and third click change value again back and so on..
I am using 1.8.4 jquery tab portion. Currently when a tab is selected or hovered the classes change for the UL, OL tags. I would also like the A and span tags to change with the same values (ui-tabs-selected, ui-tabs-active and ui-tabs-hover).
I am using the standard template as below. I have gotten part of the way there but can't get all of the way there. I am guessing I need to change portions of the code from instances of searching for parent of A to do parent of A, A itself and children of A. Or I could find the first parent ul and say addclass, removeclass from all children.
I have a collection of hyperlinks in a web page and I need to know how I can do the following:
1) When I click a hyperlink, change the Class of all hyperlinks that have the same link phrase text (or value).I have tried this but it doesn't seem to work (it was a bit of a guess!):
The script is working, tab-content is changing but when clicked a tab I want to change class property of the li of active tab as class="current"How can I do it
I have a script (thanks to brian.jquery12) which changes the class on my body, which changes the bgrd colour of my page. This imitates the changes seen during the day in the real sky.I would now like a script which speeds up the whole process for demo purposes when a button/link is clicked. The class change occurs at the following times of day 0, 7, 12, 15 & 18.I am not sure where to start with this. Any tips or links to other posts. I have searched but not found what I need.
The competition is that there is a table width a heckbox inside and if the ckeckbox is checked the tr of this checkbox should get class "sel" and remove this class if it get unchecked. So the problem with the actual code is that everytime a new checkbox got checked the
of the checkbox which was checked before losts the class "sel" and just the last checked checkbox will get it. Do you have an idea how the could must look like to get it work?
And i would like to change value attribute of input field (for example only to file.txt but it doesn't matter). Is this possible? I'm browsing google 2 hours, but still didn't find nothing which works...If I had an id instead of class, it would be easy, but i have only class and I cant change this (its dynamically generated with framework i'm using).
PS. Int my html there are more input elements with class="text_field", it would be good to change them all.
I have some legacy code that creates an image carousel and outputs AFTER the document head has been output - the CSS for this was being aded to a style block within the
which although worked is not compliant. I am trying to use jquery to set the css, but one part if failing. This is the original css :
#div_tab_one a:hover { .... } #dic_tab_one .selected a {...}
How can I inject this css ? the selected class is set by some YUI code and rotates through the carousel setting/unsetting the "selected" class.
I am trying to change to change the background of a li element when its own class is changing i tried : $("ul#slide-nav li").each(function() { if ( $(this).hasClass("selected") ){ $(this).css("background-color","black"); }else{ $(this).css("background-color","gray"); }}); This seems to be working I think., but once the class change again it doesn't work.. how can it loop for ever?
this class apply to each cell of my table as follow.

my div content

I am changing class value dynamically in my asp.net page using javascript,json, web service and jquery . assume didsku contain width of div that i have fetched from table and assigned to didsku javascript variable. var didsku = 93px;
then i am applying css using one of following way.
var a = { "width": didsku + "px" }; $("div.c2").each(function () { $("div.c2").css(a); });
