JQuery :: Call Reload() As A Result Of User Action Outside Of The Carousel?

I want to display three sets of images on a Web page, and I want to use only one jcarousel to do it. I want to change the list of images based on the user clicking on one of three links, each representing a set of images. How do I do this? I know I can edit the DOM to modify the list of items, but how do I call jcarousel's reload() function? I thought of using three instances of jcarousel, but that takes up too much screen space and requires the user to scroll too much.

I have a form on a web page, with one field to enter a code, to search for a property.On clicking 'submit' I want to be able to run a script asynchronously in the background.The script will need to run a MYSQL statement which will have one of these results:
1. The property code does not exist, so display a Javascript Alert saying it does not exist.
2. The property is for sale, so call an existing javscript function 'saleSubmit(propertyCode)' to overwrite the exsiting web page with a new page sale.php for that property code
3. The property is for rent, so call an existing javscript function 'rentSubmit(propertyCode)' to overwrite the exsiting web page with a new page rent.php for that property code
My slills are in PHP and MySQL and I have no knowledge of tools like Ajax, jQuery and I am currently having problems getting my head around it. I have spent ages visiting lots of websites looking for examples on how to do this with little success.

I have tables catecogires and subcategories in database. When user add article, he select categorie from select tag and under that tag appears another select tag with subcategories of selected category. Code in jquery:

I have a form that has two input buttons. One of the input submit buttons is being used to delete data from a database. Whenever a user clicks that delete button I am trying to make it so that a confirmation message appears that confirms that the user wants to carry on with the action. Then if they click Ok, the form should continue processing otherwise it will fail.

I have a application that uses jquery-1.6.4.jsandjquery-ui-1.8.14.custom.min.js. A call is made by a js file that works if I break on the call and single step using firebug but when run w/o the single step the call to the php in the server never seems to occure. IE doesn't seem to have this problem

I have a form which I need submit using ajax. I already got all the needed query from that form, but when I tried get the action address I got [object HTMLInputElement] instead of expected address blah.php.

The problem is that I named the button as "action" and this.action is returning the button object instead of the action of the form.
I can't remove the form element with name "action" from that form because of the script that accepts the data, but I need get somehow the form's action (url).

I am doing a very simple POC regarding Instant Messaging using Struts. So I was able to do login and sending message. However, I am confused on how I can get the messages display to my POC if the other person is replying.
The idea that I am thinking is to use AJAX periodically call the Struts action. what API i should use in AJAX to do this call?

I have a ajax function implementation: when the user is on one site, the ajax call keeps checking the server every 5 seconds if there is a server url change. If there is, there will be a message displayed to direct the user to go to another site. when the user go to another site, the ajax keeps checking every 10 seconds, if there is condition met, the message will be displayed to direct user to go back to the previous site. Also, after the message is displayed, ajax call keeps checking if there is another condition met, if there is, the message will automatically disappear.
The use case is: when one server is down, the message will direct the user to another site. On another site, when the previous server is up, the user could be redirected to the previous site. When the message is displayed (when server is down), the user may not follow the link to do anything. He/she may simply leave the message on and go to lunch or something, when he/she comes back, the server may be already up and the message should be disappeared instead of keeping showing the message. Therefore, the message should be displayed or disappeared automatically based on the ajax call condition.
I implemented the ajax function and it did check and displayed message. However, it wont' display the message only right after the user login or the user does a "refresh" to the page. After the message is displayed, when another condition met, the message won't disappear until the page is refreshed. Then the ajax calls keep doing every 10 seconds. The ajax call seems fine since when I set a alert, I did see the popup message show up every 10 seconds (but only after I refreshed the page.) Now the problem is: the message can't be automatically displayed. It can only happen when there is new page load (refresh). How can I solve this problem. I'm thinking of putting "windows.location.reload;" to load the page right after the condition met. But kind of feel I don't need to do this.

I have an web application (PHP backend) where I want to initiate multiple requests to the same server (to different php functions/files) and asynchronously update the response on the page (the call back function is same for all the requests).
What is the best solution for this ? Is it better to
a) call multiple server calls from the java script file? if so Do we create multiple http objects ? can someone point me to the few examples ?
b) call one Php service and have the php fork the multiple requests on the server side. I am not sure if this can be done multiple requests be done asynchronously on the server side ? and if so how to dynamically update teh resultant page as each request finishes?

I'm using a little javascript to help my site's design to fit the visitor's entire browser window.
Everything works great apart from one problem. If a visitor first loads the page and the browser isn't maximised, the page loads correctly BUT if the visitor then proceeds to maximize the browser, the page is still set for the minimised browser. This condition stays until the visitor goes to another section of the site or refreshes the page. When this happens, the page again loads correctly.
I would like to force a page reload whenever the browser is minimizedmaximized or is in any other way changed size. How can I do this?

I am having an issue with using an overlay on a google map. The overlay works fine initially, but if I choose a different map type (example: Satellite) I lose the overlay. Is there a way to listen for a map type control click? Or a way to detect when the map type changes? I want to call a function to reload the overlay when the map type changes.

I have an AJAX script which is used for a "live search" type function.When a user begins to type their search, after 3 characters, my AJAX script jumps into action and shows them a list of possible results.I has worked fine for months, and now suddenly I have found that it is causing a javascript error.I have traced the error down to the "open" call... ie: this.xmlHttp.open("GET", url, true);Like I said, this has worked for ages and I haven't changed these files since I got them working.

I have a simple product display with an product image. The product image changes with ajax when i click in a dropdown menu on another color.
Now i added the (beautiful) zoom script cloud zoom. It just works fine but after i click on another color and the product image reloads the script does not work anymore. instead my <a> is just a normal <a>.
This is the part that reloads at all:
How can i reload the function when this part reloads? Or what else could i do?
