I want to add a click function to an image to laod a new page
Tried this but it doesn't work
The whichAct variable in the query string gets changed, which is why it isn't just a static <a hef="...">...</a>
I try to get an image to fade in after it has been loaded, but I can't get it to work. This is how the code look with the loading part:

After the image is loaded, I want it to fade in. How is that done? I have tried to add fadeIn but not working.
Im trying to have a click event that replaces an image on the page with a new image that has been selected randomly from an array. I have solved PART of this already (can get the random image to appear).
However, instead of appearing on the page where the old image was, the new image appears in a blank page.
My research indicates that this blank page location-problem is a result of using document.write in the Function. Therefore, I know I need to find a different way to accomplish this, but am failing miserably.
I have been trying for hours and hours and HOURS to figure out proper syntax for accomplishing this via elements, functions, variables and mootools.

Using a UI dialog I'd like to load in 10 or so images. Each would be unique and after you click on one the following needs to happen:
1. Image appears on the parent page in a specified ID.
2. A "hidden" field is updated so that when the user submits the db is updated with their selection.
3. Dialog closes automatically.
That's it. Basically it would work similar to "datepicker".I'm using the latest 1.4 and ui and been making great progress as learning basics. I need to do the above and it seems like such a no brainier and or it should already exist but after 2 days of searching and trial and error...
The following code produces the images in the dropdown select box, but does not process the click function.

Using the same code, I alter the $("#ipselect").msDropDown(); to a bogus ID such as ipselect1. The jquery dropdown select is gone, and the default select box is viewable. When I click one of the options, the click function processes with no issues. Is it not possible to use the click function with the dropdown select code? I think the image dropdown code was posted on the jquery site as a tutorial.

I have a page which is a large graphic sliced up into various pieces for better loading. It's a drawing of a bedroom and I need to have it set up so that when a user clicks on a link that is mapped to a frame hanging on the wall, it opens the doors of a cupboard. The photoframe and the cupboard are in different images.
I thought of using a Javascript image rollover but I can't see how that can be used to change a different image rather than the image that has the link in it.
I've done a little Javascript editing. Am happy to upload the code and images to the web if required.

I found it difficult trying to put a short and concise title for you all to understand.My problem: Basically, I have an image (its a + sign), when clicked I need this + to change to a -. When clicked again, it needs to return to being a +.Below is the current code I am using:

This code works fine if I just have one instance of it. But If I want multiple ones, one stops working and the other functions instead.
I tried the following:

At the moment all it shows is the image related to the currently saved option, which I'd like to keep on page load. Is this possible?

Im currently building a new discount-webpage and Im looking for a solution to be able to hover over a discount button to reveal a small text without clicking. And after clicking on the button that the text in the flash button is copied into the clipboard and a new page open with a small frame from my window with the new page underneith. examples of this kind of script can be viewed on this page: [URL]... Im not looking for someone to do this for me. All I want to know if there is another language to do this with like possibly java? and maybe some links to tutorials. (the current page solves this with flash which I havent worked with before.)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a banner that has image navigation on the lower right. The navigation links are images which, when clicked, change the banner without reloading the page. The actual switching of the banner is working when each image is clicked.
However, my problem is this:
The page itself is long and must be vertically-scrolled to see the entire content. Because of the scrolling, the banner could appear anywhere vertically on the page. And whenever I click the banner navigation hrefs, the page "jumps" so that the banner is at the top. The page should really stay in the fixed position.
I'm not sure how to set it up so that no matter where the banner section is on the scrolled page, that the page stays in the same position when the navigation is clicked.

Should I disable the right click option or not? I have a gallery site, I don't want people to be able to copy the images with the default right click over an image. From a professional looking site point of view I suppose I would be messing with the functionality a bit too much, OR is it OK in this instance to disable the click. I know how to write the code to disable the click, but what I was thinking was maybe it would be better to leave the right click but change the menu options? Unfortunately this does not seem to work, entirely. It does trigger the click event but it messes up the post for some reason. I have played around with it for the last 45 minutes or so and it seems like the click event trigger is what is messing things up, if I comment it out it works fine. Could anyone tell me why they think this is? note this is an over simplified version of my actual code, but the structure is the same.
only first image in the all_images array loads and the rest stays hidden. it works first time i load the page, but any other time it loads only one image. i understand it might have to do with the cache. what could be possible cause for breaking the .each() loop after first iteration? i'm using jquery 1.3.2, png fix and php

menu bar is implemented as hyperlinks so I can use the :hover :active
etc. pseudo-styles.
When moving from one item to another on the menu bar I want to
simulate the user clicking on the menu bar item they've just moved
onto, so the adjacent menu drops down automatically.
So I have something like this:

to simulate the user clicking on the adjacent menu.
However it seems the previous menu bar item stays in the 'active'
state and the item that has been moved onto remains in the 'hover'
state.
The css styles are defined in the order: link, visited, hover, active,
and in any case, it works fine if you actually do a mouse click on a
different menu bar item. It seems the programmatic click is not the
same.
Is there anyway of forcing the previous link to 'normal' and the new
link to 'active' using JavaScript? Or is there some other way of
simulating a mouse click?
I am still designing the website and want some flexibility. I am capturing the mouse clicks fine on top of an image, but the coordinates are absolute and not relative to the image. How can I capture mouse clicks relative to the image so that I can move the image anywhere in my website?
