JQuery :: Trouble Combining Flash's Externalinterface.callback

I have two swf using AS 2.0 in a webpage. One of them is hidden at the start, but when I rollover on the other one, the hidden one is supposed to show up and the visible one is supposed to hide.However, everytime I rollover it, it says peelOff() is not a function. Although it is a function, since I'm able to control it with any other events such as "click".I could use the callback of a mouseover to call the peelOff() function?

I need that function to be inside$(document).ready(function() {}); The function in question on the actual site is jQuery plugin function (jScrollPaneapi.getContentPane().load) - i.e. I am trying to get a button in the flash movie to load content into a jScrollPane. If I move that function outside of jQuery, it is recognized by flash, but it doesn't function.I have tried moving the embedFlash inside the$(document).ready(function() {}), I tried using a swfObject call back to make sure the flash is loaded - nothing works.

I use the getJSON request to fill a select (with cities names) after the user have choosen his region.
I paste some code:
The problem is that callback is never called. I used firebug and i have seen that when i change region the getJSON function is called and my script (python) return this JSON:
Why my callback is not called? I can't even get the alert ('callback time!'). I thinked that my json could be broken, but firebug net console read and parse it very well, so i think is valid JSON.
I also tried to split up the function declaration from the getJSON request, but it's no use.

My website is an Magic the Gathering website, so it involves card,cardsid,decks etc.I have a searchresult.php page, which shows the results(cards) after you an SQL query has searched through my SQL database.Then every result get's a links(add card to deck) behind it which opens an unique popup window.Now my problem is, in this popup there must be an unique form which check via ajax whether the 'card' is already in the deck. Well I got as far as this works, well it does for my first search result.Altough the input's are unique in every popup, as they should be. Only the values of the input's of my first searchresult are submitted to the process form.
The includes of the Jquery files is not included in this code, but it is included in the real code. it is in a seperate file, it would be stupid to just show I include the jquery library and files xP, because that IS the case.[code]

I'm working with ClueTip and have run into some oddities.In particular, I want to show ClueTip when a textbox receives focus.The source shows me that I can use activation:'focus' for this and that will result in the cluetip showing on focus and disappearing on blur. In order to allow users to filter content, I've created a small checkbox list. To each checkbox is attached an ID, and too some divs on the page are attached these id's too (in the class attr that is); one div can be attached to multiple id's, and so have multiple classes.
In order to show or hide my div's I wrote :

I am using a delayedObserver which works great, but I can't figure out how to use it when the field I am binding is loaded via ajax. So ideally, something like this:

.delayedObserver(0.35, function(value, element){

This would bind any form elements with the live_form_field data attribute to the observer and submit the form. The code doesn't work though since that isn't the right syntax for the .live method.

I am trying to bind the live event to the fadeTo(). I am doing so because after the page is loaded, I am adding new elements to the page through ajax and need them to come in as faded. This is what I currently have.
$('.work').fadeTo('fast',.35);
This is what I have tried to do.
$('.work').live(fadeTo('fast',.35));
Above does not seem correct, but I have searched for more info/documentation on using live() with fadeTo but have found nothing.

I've got identical javascript code that I want to run when either a page loads or inputs to a form change. Right now, I've got two separate statements:

I think the obvious answer is to combine the two with a Javascript IF/OR (||) statement, but I can't seem to get the syntax correct, I think probably due to the open '(' before 'function' in both cases and the fact that it doesn't close until 'some javascript' has executed.
Any suggestions on the correct syntax, or is there a different way of implementing this that I'm not aware of? The two separate statements work fine right now, but I'd rather not have to maintain multiples of the same javascript code.

I've set several options, but I'm having trouble using 'backwards' with the #hash function on dynamically created slideshows. I'm using PHP to generate slide arrays for a given page. I pull the slides in sequence from a full array in amaster file. Everything works fine when I navigate forward, and also when I navigate backwards within the slide array on a given page (I use the manual setting with prev/next buttons). The problem occurs when I navigate backwards to the first slide, then clickmy PHP-generatedlink to get the nextset of "previous" slides. When the page loads, it starts at the first slide instead of the last, even though 'backwards' is set to true. I think the hash script is overriding it, since there's no #hash on my PHP link (I can code one in, but it's code-intensive so I'm hoping there's a simple on-the-fly javascript solution).

What happens is if I select a few items from the list in my first tab and try to drop them into the other tab things go wonky.The 2nd tab displays fine, but one element I picked to move isnt moved over (stays visible in first list if I go back to it) and the other 2 items I had selected and dropped are sort of moved but are floating up near the 2nd tab name. And if you try and move either of those two rphaneditems they go back to the same floating spot I went into the IE Javascript debugger and did a step through and from what I can tell in looking at different variables, the 3 items I moved do actually get put into the 2nd list.t seems more like a display issue which is why I think it is an issue with jquery.ui. If you choose 2 items by using CTRL-Left Click, just drag them into the 2nd tab and see what I mean.I am using jQuery 1.4.4 and jQuery.ui 1.8.7. I have my example on jsfiddle.

I found out that (after an system update?) IE8 no longer loads the content on my website www.beautifullalaland.com. I guess it has to do with the ridiculous amount of jQuery calls that some of the simple functions requir. using JS for years but never a library (and never again if you ask me, what a bloody mess).
Is there a safe way to combine jquery_002.js, jquery.js, jquery_003.js and jquery-1.3.2.js?

I work for a company called Best of the Best (www.botb.com). We use Flash countdown clocks to mark the end of our competitions. The issue we now have is that our clients are using mobile platforms more and more and as bloody Apple wont support flash (not fully anyway) we need the option to detect whether our users have flash and if not then replace the current <OBJECT>Blah Blah Parameters etc</OBJECT> with <DIVCLASS="NON_FLASH_CONTAINER">All other bits in middle</DIV>Is this at all possible?

I'm using 'this' so that only the element that is clicked changes, what I need is some way of specifying a background color for anything that isn't 'this' and then continue to change the clicked element. Is this possible? The only other way I can think of is to add a class to each menu item and then only apply the backgroundColor = "Transparent" if the class of the clicked element matches that stored in a variable and other wise apply the standard background color. I know this is really more of a DOM or IE DOM question than a js one but the js forum seems to be the most fitting...
I am working on a page where I have included an instance of FCK Editor (which is just a script that creates your standard Rich Text Editor interface inside a form).
What I want to do is call a function which retrieves the newly typed data (along with the formatting) and does something with it.
The "problem" is that FCK creates it interface inside an Iframe inside another IFrame. No problem for FireFox, Netscape, etc... It just a matter of a couple "getElementById()"s and "contentDocument"s. However IE does not support contentDocument. Instead IE puts all Frames (including IFrames) in the frames array. Which is fine, I can still navigate my way down the tree to my target Iframe with document.frames[0].frames[0]... the trouble is, you cannot (or I can't figure out how) to access elements on the page inside the nested Iframes. I can access properties of the Iframes (such as location).
I'm thinking that this is how IE is "supposed" to work but is there any way that I can access elements inside a page inside of an Iframe or nested Iframes? Code:

I'm using the following line to delete cookies. It works great in Firefox, but in IE the cookie still exists, it's just lost all of its data. I can check to see if the data is there, and ignore the cookie if it isn't, but since I'm looping through my cookies when the page builds, I rather it be completely removed.
