JQuery :: Multiple Classes Selector Causing Trouble?

Sep 19, 2009

In order to allow users to filter content, I've created a small checkbox list. To each checkbox is attached an ID, and too some divs on the page are attached these id's too (in the class attr that is); one div can be attached to multiple id's, and so have multiple classes.

In order to show or hide my div's I wrote :
function couponsVisibles(){
$('.checkInteret').each(function(){
var coche = $(this).attr("checked");
if (coche) {
var idCoupons = $(this).attr("id");
$(".zoneCoupon , div[class='" +idCoupons+ "']").each(function(){
$(this).fadeIn();
});
}});
}
$(".checkInteret").click(function(){
var coche = $(this).attr("checked");
if (!coche) {
var idCoupons = $(this).attr("id");
$(".zoneCoupon , div[class='" +idCoupons+ "']").each(function(){
$(this).fadeOut();
});
}couponsVisibles();
});
It looks like my selector "$(".zoneCoupon , div[class='" +idCoupons+"']")" doesn't work, but I can't figure out why. I've started using the [attribute*=value] selector, but this selector doesn't seem to make a difference beetween class='8 10' and class='8 1'...

Internet Button On Keyboard Causing Trouble!

Nov 30, 2004

I have an internet key on my keyboard, and I'm sure others do too. When I push it, it opens Internet Explorer to my homepage. If I am already in internet explorer, and the page is focused, and I push the internet button, then it changes the location of the page to my homepage.

I want to prevent it from doing this for my users whom visit my site. I have a popup, and while in that popup, it is likely they push that button, or start internet explorer. Is there anyway to detect this, and either block it, or blur the page before it takes effect in Javascript?

It DOES NOT happen if I push START>Internet Explorer since when I click Start, it blurs the webpage.

JQuery :: Have Selector Require 2 Classes Instead Of Just 1

Apr 24, 2009

So I understand you can do:
$(".className").xxx.
Is there an easy way with jquery to have it match 2 classes. So maybe I only want the action to take place it the element has class1 and class2.
$(".class1" , ".class2").xxx
The above is close to what I would like, but thats if any of the 2 classes match, go. I need it to be both. I can probably do this with some basic javascript logic.. just figure there may be a function for this already.

JQuery :: Selector Only Selects One (last) Of Matched Classes

Aug 25, 2010

I have code to add a row dynamically to a form in my page when an element with class 'addRow' is clicked. The tables (2 tables in one page) that I want to add the row to have class 'tableAddRow'. The tables are contained in a form. But for some strange reason the code only adds to the last matched table in the page. I tried using the $.each selector but nothing works.

Here is the code:
$(document).ready(function(){
$(".addRow").click(function(){
$(".tableAddRow tr:last").clone().insertAfter(".tableAddRow tr:last");
$(".tableAddRow tr:last input").val("");
});
});

JQuery :: Hide Multiple DIVs - Two Classes For One Element?

May 21, 2010

I made this small piece of code, and I think I made it in a very drawn out way. I am sure there is a lot quicker way to do it. I want all divs to be cleared that are in a certain div. So when one link is clicked, the visible div is replaced with the new one (depending on the link)

Here is the code I have done...
$(document).ready(function(){
$(".untitled1link").click(function(){
$('.untitled1, .untitled2, .untitled3, .untitled4, .untitled5_1, .untitled5_2, .untitled5_3, .wall, .lightswitch, .detritus, .untitled6, .table, .socket, .socket2').hide();
$(".untitled1").fadeIn('5');
});
});

I just need a way to say clear all in that certain div, rather than having to name each class. I was thinking of giving each of those another class which is uniform across them all. But I don't think you can have two classes.

JQuery :: Store In Variable Only First / Only Second Of Element's Multiple Classes

Apr 22, 2010

I'm using this bit of jQ to add a class to two different elements based on the class of another (parent/grandparent, etc) element.

First, when there's no class at all in <div id="main-content">, the 'active' class is added to *all* the #nav-primary LIs, and also to *all* the #aux-left DIVs; how can I modify this so that in the absence of any class on #main-content, do nothing?

Second, how can I target only the first or second of multiple classes to store in the 'containerClass' variable, e.g., <div id="main-content" class="apples bananas">?

JQuery :: Binding Multiple Elements Without Using Selector

Dec 21, 2010

I am learning jQuery now and have a big interest in this javascript framework. I am trying to bind an event to more than one element. I won't meet any problem if using selector. But now, I've created a function which I will pass the element. And I need within this function, to bind the code. This is my current code :

function updateDay(dayObj, monthObj, yearObj){
//I want to bind both monthObj and yearObj.
yearObj.change(function(){
//do something
});
monthObj.change(function(){yearObj.change()});
}
$(document).ready(function(){
updateDay( $("#day"), $("#month"), $("#year"));
});

As you can see, I must bind twice, once for yearObj, the other for monthObj. Is there anyway to bind the change() event only once? If there are some logic mistake in using function or such as feel free to point out, since I still haven't read all the documentation yet.

Aug 4, 2011

My website is an Magic the Gathering website, so it involves card,cardsid,decks etc.I have a searchresult.php page, which shows the results(cards) after you an SQL query has searched through my SQL database.Then every result get's a links(add card to deck) behind it which opens an unique popup window.Now my problem is, in this popup there must be an unique form which check via ajax whether the 'card' is already in the deck. Well I got as far as this works, well it does for my first search result.Altough the input's are unique in every popup, as they should be. Only the values of the input's of my first searchresult are submitted to the process form.

The includes of the Jquery files is not included in this code, but it is included in the real code. it is in a seperate file, it would be stupid to just show I include the jquery library and files xP, because that IS the case.[code]
