When navigating to a sub menu the parent is properly keeping it's background color but the text color is reverting to its normal color. There is a link to the site below to see an example.
I am using superfish menu on the site below. http:[url]...when I go through the sub menus. parent menu item's "a color" turns into white again but not background color. then nothing is seen. I want it to stay as first hover condition (white bg and black text) when I walking through sub menus. I cannot override it.
I'm building a Joomla site with Superfish vertical. I'm bogged down on 1 issue: parent itemid linked to specific images and how to make this work. My menu has 5 parent items. The child items are not an issue.My question is this: Does anyone know how to make linked parent/item id & images work together ? This may be more of a CSS issue than a script question but I thought I'd pass it by here as I'm getting "0" responses elsewhere and there could be a php/js script aspect to this.There is a bit of code (line 67-87 of superfish/tmpl/default.php) that has me concerned and it might turn out to be why this doen't work, I include it below. I'm pretty much illeterate when it comes to js /php but I can make out just enough to know it could impinge (either + or -) on what I'm trying to do.
if (($node->name() == 'li') && ($id = $node->attributes('id'))) { if ($node->attributes('class')) { $node->addAttribute('class', $node->attributes('class').' item'.$id);
I have just started using Superfish. I am using a reverse color scheme (the background is green font color white) - so when I rollover a main menu item the menu item rolled over has a background of white, font color is green. When I go to a sub menu item the background of the main menu item stays white, but the font also stays white (I want the font to stay green).This is an example of how I want my menu to work:
http:[url]....
(Notice that when you rollover and then fly out, the main menu item rolled over maintains its background and foreground color).This is the part of the superfish.css that I have edited:
I'm using Superfish nav-bar menu which works just fine (it hides all submenus with their childs) But I also want to one sublink display all childs without need to hover over their parent.
Here is the code:
In this example i want to Link 1 and Link 2, have normal drop down menus which are in normal state hidden. I need to Link 3, always display Sublink 3 including its childs (Sub sublink 3).
I have installed Superfish menu module with Joomla ..Customization work more less fine ...I still have tenious problem like :
- How to have the main menu with the active color, when one of the sub-menu has been actived ?
- How to change the inactive color of the sub-menu without changing the inactive colro of the principal menu ...I did not found any information on the web ..
Is there code to just underline linked text to a certain color (red) but doesn't change the text color (it was white & when hovered over, it still stays white with a red underline)?
There are two radio buttons, sometimes one will be disabled, other times the other will be disabled. I would like to make a script that: First: Changes the color of surrounding text of the disabled radio button to the color grey. Second: Checks the other radio button.
This was my plan: I would make a script that: First: Removes all the current classes and add the class "greyed_out" (or better: change only the color of) the parent element, all siblings and children of siblings (if any) of the radio button that is disabled at that time.Second: Sets the attribute "checked to the other radio button". I made a script, but when I set the bottom radio button to disabled the script doesn't work:
I want to make the date at the top right darker blue. But when I do that, all the light blue text next to the pictures also changes.
How can I control the color of the result of document.write output without changing the forground color of the entire page? Note my document write includes variables, so I was hesitant to imbed an html command in the document.write.
I'm using superfish menu jquery plugin, and I'm wondering if someone know how to update plugin that you can decide if sub - sub menus wil be shown on the right (that is in the original) or on the left side of the parent menu.
The problem is, that if the last menu is near the end of the browser, than the sub - sub menu will go off side the browser.
So I have some custom images as the background to my menu images, however I also have the text showing too, as can be seen here: [URL] How do I delete the text, so that just the image is showing. I have tried looking in all the php files, html files etc etc, even using windows grep to search for the files. However I cannot find them at all!
I have a Superfish Menu hover and text overflow issues due to special characters from foreign languages. In English or a language without special characters the menu and hover expand properly but with special characters you get text overflow and a hover with a negative right margin.
I was basically trying to follow several tutorials to get a superfish menu working on my website, but I don't seem to be able to get it to work.I included both the superfish.css and the superfish.js in my website's header; both paths are corrent and point to the designated file.I then included the superfish function in my header like this:
<script> $(document).ready(function(){ $('ul.sf-menu').superfish({ delay: 1000, // one second delay on mouseout animation: {opacity:'show',height:'show'}, // fade-in and slide-down animation
[code]....
The corresponding <ul> element has the required sf-menu class, but still there are no animations, no fading, no delays, just the plain css functionality provided by the superfish.css.
I am currently trying to change the color of my text in jquery. The problem im having is im not sure how to change my color back to the original css color when I click on the other link. Instead the color just remains and does not go away.(By the way im not strong on this language so keep it simple for me)Here is my code:
$('#navigation ul.submenu li a.sug').click(function() { $('#navigation ul.submenu li a.sug').css("color","#e1519f"); });[code]......
I want to change the color of the text in my array output according to certain conditions. The output looks like this:
dfjklasdjkfklasjdfjkljasdfjljsd EVENT asdfkjfklasdjflaskdjfklasdfasidvj ROOT sdfjaskdlfklcmklfsdf LIVE_EVENT sdfjklasdjfklasdjfasdfk TEAM
And I would like it to look like this dfjklasdjkfklasjdfjkljasdfjljsd EVENT asdfkjfklasdjflaskdjfklasdfasidvj ROOT sdfjaskdlfklcmklfsdf LIVE_EVENT sdfjklasdjfklasdjfasdfk TEAM
I'm working on implementing watermark in datepicker text field (JQuery V1.8.9). I have a datepicker field with watermark set (dd/mm/yyyy). Watermark text displaying in gray color. When I select a date, the text field still having the gray color instead of changing to black color. but, when i key in the date and focus out, it's working fine. Also, this is working fine in Chrome but not with Firefox. I'm not sure the exact cause...
1) search the database for the words user is typing in the text box. This will happen with each key press.2) if there is a match - I need to change the text color.
I have a simple menu as you can see in which i want the link that gets pressed to change color to grey.(line26).But before that (line25) i use jquery to change all the links back to their original color.But that line of code destroys my hover effect on all my links for a reason.
I want to 'style' all links on my site with a variable for random colors. I got the variable for the random colors up and running but i can't figure out how to implement the variable to the css.
The Farbtastic color picker is an elegant solution to the color-picking problem, but its usefulness is prohibitive in those situations where there is not enough screen real-estate. Because it is large, these are many. Since I want to use it in such a situation, I started working towards a solution.
The designed solution involved in clicking on something small, such as Click to Activate, and having the rest of the page become faded-out, while the color-picker appears superimposed over other parts of the page.
That solution is implemented up to a point. In the code posted:
- The trigger appears as part of the original DOM., - Clicking the trigger makes the page text fade, the color-picker appear, and the trigger changes to something like Click to Deactivate, - Upon clicking, it does disappear, and the page text resumes it original appearance..
After this point, one might work towards making it more modular and more easily usable as is farbtastic itself.
It requires a var to hold state, and other things. Ideally, it could be combined with the original to offer a wider range of usage patterns. I have no doubt that the code can vastly be improved, since I am relatively new to jquery, although not to computing.
The code is posted below, in the hope that it proves useful to others, The only change made to the farbtastic.js code itself is to add "id='fbc' " to the outermost <div which is added internally. This change is not shown because it would involve posting all of farbtastic.js for this one change. The section of text used to illustrate presumed page content is from the NSIS Users Manual, and has no significance beyond being some text. The div named 'overlay' was employed to allow shifting the whole thing around as a unit relative to the trigger but might be eliminated were that not needed, since everything else works without it, Note also that the input#color from the original farbtastic has been replaced by 'repeater' which is a <div, but seems to work ok to get the color info.
What this do is to print user_name@domain-name.com
Code:
My question is that im trying to have two different color of text, i want to put "your user name:> in RED and word of domain-name in brown, so far i put style code for domain name but how can i put for "your user name" different color in css code!
