- How to have the main menu with the active color, when one of the sub-menu has been actived ?
- How to change the inactive color of the sub-menu without changing the inactive colro of the principal menu ...I did not found any information on the web ..
JQuery :: Superfish - Arrows & Top Menu Width?
Oct 25, 2009It seems to me that the arrows which are added create an additional width on the menu elements.I would like to specify a fixed width for the top elements in my menu. It appears that the arrows are added automagically by the JS (neat!). I am guessing they are an additional width to anything specified in the skin css. Is there any way to use the arrows but to reserve space for the arrow width, so it doesn't change the top level menu width? I would like to be able to use a fixed width, so that I can use a non- repeating css background image. To complicate matters, I am using Supersubs (maybe I should be using the standard superfish?)

Nov 20, 2010I have problem, my superfish menu don't show arrows to sub-menu. I try to search on the forum, but I don't find something applicable. I try to disable every component on my site, put calling the function in try{} and catch the error, download new jQuery - 1.4.4, but nothing helps. I'll be very grateful for any response or idea what can be wrong.

JQuery :: Animating Superfish Custom Arrow In Sub Menu?
May 6, 2011I've added a custom arrow to the Superfish sub menu, and the problem that I'm experiencing right now is that it gets animated together with the Superfish menu and only shows up a tad bit too late and does not look smooth.I'd like to smoothen it up a bit by adding my own animation to the arrow image.Simply hover over CONTACT, then you'll see the sub menu. As you can see the arrow shows up with a delay.Now I'd like to make it slide up smoothly and I tried the following:

May 14, 2010I have just started using Superfish. I am using a reverse color scheme (the background is green font color white) - so when I rollover a main menu item the menu item rolled over has a background of white, font color is green. When I go to a sub menu item the background of the main menu item stays white, but the font also stays white (I want the font to stay green).This is an example of how I want my menu to work:

(Notice that when you rollover and then fly out, the main menu item rolled over maintains its background and foreground color).This is the part of the superfish.css that I have edited:

However, when I've integrated other scripts into pages with the script, the arrows on the superfish dropdown that indicate the dropdown navigation disappear. The dropdown quits working completely in IE6. The two scripts I've implemented are a script from visuallightbox.com for a photo gallery and a form validation script. What is the fastest way to debug this issue for a beginner like me. I am mostly an html and css guy but am trying to learn scripting.

Jul 29, 2011I'm curious if anyone knows how to fix this. Most of the content of my page is 940px wide. The superfish menu, expanding as it should to fit my drop-down heading text, is only about 700px wide. I want to apply a color background to the div that the superfish menu is housed in so that the menu appears to be 100% width.
For some reason, in webkit and firefox, the color of the div that the menu is contained in does not show up, so there's just an empty space in that last 25% or so of the bar.
In IE, it looks correct, though. (the color of the containing div shows through the blank space in the menu, making the menu bar appear to fill the entire width).
Am I missing something in the Superfish menu that makes it appear at 100% width?
