I implemented the superfish dropdown on a website I've built. However, when I've integrated other scripts into pages with the script, the arrows on the superfish dropdown that indicate the dropdown navigation disappear. The dropdown quits working completely in IE6. The two scripts I've implemented are a script from visuallightbox.com for a photo gallery and a form validation script. What is the fastest way to debug this issue for a beginner like me. I am mostly an html and css guy but am trying to learn scripting.
It seems to me that the arrows which are added create an additional width on the menu elements.I would like to specify a fixed width for the top elements in my menu. It appears that the arrows are added automagically by the JS (neat!). I am guessing they are an additional width to anything specified in the skin css. Is there any way to use the arrows but to reserve space for the arrow width, so it doesn't change the top level menu width? I would like to be able to use a fixed width, so that I can use a non- repeating css background image. To complicate matters, I am using Supersubs (maybe I should be using the standard superfish?)
I've got 4 subnav buttons; each has at least a sub menu; some subs have a subsub menu. My problem is, if I mouseover one of the four main subnav buttons, and then DO NOT choose a sub menu option, but instead mouseover (say) the next of the four buttons, the first sub menu stays displayed.
This only happens if I'm mousing horizontally across the buttons -- i.e., if I mouseover a button, move the mouse pointer above the button, the menu will disappear as it should and it all works correctly.
I've attached a screenshot illustrating how all 4 menus can be open at once.
This is a snippet of the relevant navigation html (2 buttons only):
I am looking for placing small up and down arrows next to my textbox. They would work with by increasing/decreasing number of products. The text box would be active so a client could put the number of a product himself/herself or simply by clicking the up/down arrows next to the text box.
I am not sure how to look for it, I mean I thought something like that should exist by default, I search w3c and I can find only combo box etc.
i'm having with a superfish menu i have tried to add to my wordpress site.The menu seems to work fine for the base-level (top parent pages) menu items.But the drop down menus seem to flash on screen for just a second and then disappear when the mouse hovers over the menu items.To see an example, please check out the top menu on this temporary development page: http:[url].....I have tried adjusting the z-index in superfish.css file but it doesn't seem to be having any effect.
Is there a way to close the superfish dropdown after click? I have some 'onclick' functions that kick off some behavior and then return false. How do I get the dropdown to go away? I suppose I need to somehow call "hideSuperfishUl"
I have a page on which I have 2 dropdowns. Both are similar. I have a piece of code that whill make a textbox appear if we select "list Box" as the option in the drop down. But for some reason, the first dropdown works fine, but for the second dropdown, the textbox is always there on page load. The code that I am presenting can be copied as a HTML page and you will know what I am referring to.
<html> <script type="text/javascript"> function showfield(name){ if(name=='lstbox')document.getElementById('div1').style.display="block"; else document.getElementById('div1').style.display="none"; } function hidefield() { [Code]...
I have a Javascript function that allows the display of a textbox upon selecting an option from a dropdown menu. In my case when a user selects listbox as the option, the text box appears. I want the same thing to happen when another option (checkbox) is selected. when I repeat the JAVAscript code, the first textbox(listbox's textbox) appears irrespective of which option(listbox, checkbox) I select. I want to be able to appear/disappear only the respective textbox. Here is my code.
<html> <script type="text/javascript" > function showfield(name){ if(name=='lstbox')document.getElementById('div1').style.display="block"; else document.getElementById('div1').style.display="none"; } function hidefield() { [Code]....
I'm having a bit of an odd issue with jQuery and Superfish. Sometimes it seems that superfish appears to be loading before jQuery is loaded, resulting a half second to a second of the dropdown menus displaying before being hidden as normal. You can see an example of this by visiting my website, URL...and browsing around on a few pages, especially the blog page where it seems to happen the most.
I'm developing a website right now for a clientIssue:On the homepage, the dropdown menu for "cities" (hover over "cities") gets overlapped by the Dynamic Content Gallery (DCG), which as a result cuts off bottom portion of the dropdown. Dropdown Menus are using Superfish.The issue only occurs in Firefox. It works fine in IE, hovering over the top of the DCG slide (weird, right?).Screenshot in FirefoxScreenshot in IEI was thinking it could be corrected by adjusting the z-index of the dropdown menu, but decided I would ask here first before I get in over my head.Attachments IE-Screenshot.jpgSize : 120.0 KB Download : 358Firefox-Screenshot.jpgSize : 119.87 KB Download : 353
I want the navigation dropdown to work just like this iXLink | The Neutral Business Exchange for Telecom. on this site ReStore why the animation doesn't seem to be firing.
I was basically trying to follow several tutorials to get a superfish menu working on my website, but I don't seem to be able to get it to work.I included both the superfish.css and the superfish.js in my website's header; both paths are corrent and point to the designated file.I then included the superfish function in my header like this:
<script> $(document).ready(function(){ $('ul.sf-menu').superfish({ delay: 1000, // one second delay on mouseout animation: {opacity:'show',height:'show'}, // fade-in and slide-down animation
[code]....
The corresponding <ul> element has the required sf-menu class, but still there are no animations, no fading, no delays, just the plain css functionality provided by the superfish.css.
I am trying to bring arrows for the clue tip which i am using for my web site. Even though i have given "arrows: true" in my js, i am not getting the arrows. Please see below for the code i used and give me
I have done some research and cannot find anything appropriate. I would like to be able to navigate up and down the inside of a div (selecting A Tags) and directing to them when the user presses 'Enter'.
Effectively need a function that records the up and down arrows and the enter key. It is for an autocomplete, I know there are jQuery things for this but I do not want to use jQuery! I need it to be fully browser compatible.
I had a request recently for a script which moves from input to input using the up and down arrows. It should skip buttons and password fields, and it should loop from the first element to the last. Code:
I'm in an early stage of redesigning a website and have come across a very annoying problem.
The following JS snippet is necessary to show/hide an arrow to navigate across the page:
Code:
Unfortunately it also generates an empty div <div></div> before every <a href. It's clearly visible using Firebug. Without that particular piece of code the page is working perfectly fine too, but I want the arrows to show up on mouseover.
Please find the beta page on [url] and check the code (look for <!-- script inserts <div> before a href -->). A textbox with 2 links is at the very end of the gallery.
I have a select menu that look like this: HTML Code: <select name="zoom"> <option value='1'>1</option> <option value='2'>2</option> <option value='3'>3</option> <option value='4'>4</option> <option value='5'>5</option> <option value='6'>6</option> <option value='7'>7</option> <option value='8'>8</option> <option value='9'>9</option> <option value='10' selected>10</option> <option value='11'>11</option> <option value='12'>12</option> <option value='13'>13</option> <option value='14'>14</option> <option value='15'>15</option> <option value='16'>16</option> <option value='17'>17</option> <option value='18'>18</option> <option value='19'>19</option> <option value='20'>20</option> <option value='21'>21</option> <option value='22'>22</option> <option value='23'>23</option> </select>
And I need to make it display with a "spinner" so that it has little up/down arrows (as if the height of the select menu was 2, but without showing 2 numbers at a time)... At the same time, however, I need them to not be able to go above 23 or below 1...
I tried "sticky, with arrows" (4th one) of cluetip-1.0.4 package. It's working fine. But when I used the same in multiple links in same page, only one is working.
I have a project where I need a selection of one dropdown menu may affect the select of multiple other dropdown menus on the same page.First, a table is generated, and within each row, it contains a dropdown menu. Assume: Rows A, B, C, etc..., and Dropdown selection: 1, 2, & 3If dropdown in Row A selects 2, then I want the selection of dropdowns in rows B & C to dynamically change to 2.And if in Row C user selects 3, then the selection in dropdowns in rows A & B should dynamically change to 3.
So, I have a content div and a floating sidebar (that's draggable). When I click on the content div, I want another div (with id #formatting) to appear inside the sidebar. This is already working.When I click outside the content div I want the #formatting div to disappear — but if I click inside the #formatting div it also disappears. How can I get it to stay there when I click inside the sidebar?Should I use an if statement, or are there other options?
I have a problem with my draggables disappearing. They behave properly, correctly firing their function when the drop and correctly highlighting their droppable when they are dragged in. They are just not visible when they cross the Div dividing line.
