Mar 30, 2010I have embedded youtube videos in my site. I have them show and hide using jquery. Is there a way to make the videos stop playback when they are hidden?

May 16, 2009I'm trying to find out the height of an embedded youtube-video (what I wan't to do is hide all embeds when I open a facebox and replace them with a placeholder of equal size). I (basically) tried this:

Load Embedded YouTube Videos Faster On Website?
Jan 10, 2011I'm writing a blog post that uses multiple videos from YouTube and Yahoo Video, but I'm not happy with how long it takes the page to render. Apart from using an ajax-y method to load the videos, are there any tricks that would make the page load quicker with multiple videos from different sources?

Aug 12, 2011I have a php page that essentially builds a pay report in the form of a table. The php side builds the page properly, though it took some time to get the table rows onmouseover and onmouseout functions to work for row highlighting. Now the issue is the table row's onclick function.
Here is what the outputed html looks like.

In my javascript function, the writeln() calls are for testing to see if the even is even firing. but nothing gets written to the page. Basically I want the row with the users name to be clickable which will show the details in the hidden div associated with the user.

I can use stop() on animate to prevent queuing, but doing it like in the code above, stops the animation from even happening. Please suggest a solution.
Movie Playback / Div Formatting Of Chosen Fortune Not Working
Jun 5, 2009I am a newbie to Javascript and am a little overwhelmed. I am trying to make a website where one clicks on a button, starting a .flv movie of someone breaking open a fortune and holding the fortune up to the camera and randomly chosen sentences sent by Javascript appearing over the white piece of paper. So far it does jack except for show a button and the movie without playing. When the button is pressed, nothing happens.

The div formatting of the chosen fortune doesn't work. I also need to use something besides document.write() since it clears the page when it shows the text. I am not sure how to make the movie play using Javascript. I was half guessing based on some stuff I read on the web, and it doesn't work. Also, is there a way to get rid of the Flash play and stop, etc., buttons or tie them to Javascript?

Mar 9, 2011I have to print my cell phone call records but unfortunately my wireless provider displays the number I called only when mouse is hovered over Call details. I have 470 call records and copy pasting all those numbers when mouse is hovered over it will be one hell of a task.
Is there any way I could save all the information related to Called Number and do not have to move my mouse for each and every number?
Using my basic programming understanding (Though I know nothing about java), they are using some mouseover function that displays this information. The possibility of this information to be on the server is less because this information is even available when I switch off my wireless.

Jul 30, 2010I'm a relative newcomer to jQuery (and for that matter an inexperienced web builder) but I've really enjoyed using the jQuery UI and plugins as I work to redo my site. My problem is this. My site includes many video progressive download files. I have tried to combine either jQuery UI (Accordian) or a plugin (nivoSlider) (not both at the same time) with a video embed using SWFObject. For some reason the combination cause my video playback to stutter.
Here are two test pages. They access they same mp4 files but in Test_1 I have disabled the nivoSlider js. The videos playback smoothly in Test_1 but in Test_2 the playback stutters. [URL]
